Access bank frustrated my life.. I can't forget that year..
I can't be specific with the year, maybe 2017 or 2018 every other banks could withdraw with their atm. Only access bank verve couldn't work. I was cashless and stranded. Funny thing is I had money in the two access bank I was using. I got two accounts with them because the bank nysc gave me was access.

I wan die that day. I took bike on an express, something I normally won't do to meet my friend who paid.
Then within the same year it occurred again. That was when I knew the romance with them was over.

I used the bank briefly during Cash scarcity due to connection i had there to get cash. I've scantily used them afterwards. Wicked bank with arbitrary charges

Delta state used to be a pdp state and the whole pdp machinery is now in apc. This also applies to Akwa ibom and Cross river. Bayelsa ia divided between apc and ndc and pdp might come in if Jonathan contests. Edo is surely apc.
Little or no chance for apc in the south east.

IF ACTUALLY CHRISTIANITY WAS GOLD THE COLONIALIST WOULDN'T HAVE FORCE IT ON AFRICA

TODAY WE ARE BEGGING THEM TO SHOW US HOW TO TECHNOLOGICALLY PRODUCE SOME THINGS BUT THEY REFUSED BUT FORCE THE SO CALL GOD ON US BEFORE SLAVE TRADE BEGAN

*Portuguese and Spanish coastal enclaves, 15th-17th c.*
- In Angola, São Tomé, and parts of West/Central Africa, Portuguese missionaries worked with local rulers who converted for trade and military alliances.
- In some cases, colonial administrators tied access to trade, education, and jobs to baptism. Refusal could mean exclusion from those systems.

*Belgian Congo, late 19th-early 20th c.*
- Missionaries operated under King Leopold II’s administration. The state supported Catholic and Protestant missions as part of its “civilizing mission.”
- Historical records show pressure on communities to send children to mission schools, where conversion was a condition for literacy and basic services.

*British, French, German colonies, late 19th-20th c.*
- Direct forced baptism was rare in British and French territories.
- Indirect pressure was common: colonial law, courts, and schools often favored Christians. Chiefs who converted often gained colonial backing. Traditional religious practices were sometimes banned under colonial ordinances, e.g., outlawing certain ceremonies as “public nuisance” or “fetish practices.”

3. *Mechanisms of forced or coerced adoption*
Where it happened, it usually worked through:
- *Political pressure*: Rulers converted to gain alliance with colonial powers, then their subjects followed.
- *Legal and administrative bias*: Colonial law favored Christian marriage, inheritance, and court testimony.
- *Economic and educational access*: Missions ran most schools and hospitals. Attendance often required baptism or at least renouncing traditional practices.
- *Military force*: In rare cases during conquest campaigns, colonial forces destroyed shrines and compelled conversion as part of pacification.

AFTER THE RELIGIOUS CONVERSION THEN CAME THE SLAVERY AND THE SLAVES TRADING
Haba.. You twisted history naaaa
It was the missionaries that championed the ending of slavery. Yes they enslaved Africans but it was done in the days of ignorance. Forgive and accept Christ

Kobojunkie:
1. You are not depressed and have probably never experienced clinical depression, but you are ABSOLUTELY SURE that it is a problem that can be easily resolved by looking around Nigeria. Typical black man mentality... the very reason why Africa remains the shithole it is to this day. 😒😒😒

2. I see that a lack of comprehension happens to be a major problem of yours. I NEVER SAID that religion gives hope, which prevents depression. I instead posited that religion delays suicide, not prevents it. Delay in the sense that fear of eternal damnation, which is preached by religion and not meant as any form of hope, could lead to delay in the carrying out of suicidal ideations, but ultimately, the sickness, if not taken care of, even then, tends to win out in the end.😒

There are more than enough stories out there of pastors taking their own lives in the end. Even the notorious TB Joshua is rumored to have taken his life in a bid to avoid prosecution for atrocities he was accused of. His religion did not prevent that.😒
I can see your know it all attitude, but I will give you probably one last attention

First, I was not generic when I said moving around Nigeria and going on socials makes me happy. It was specifically for me. So, put on your thinking cap and stop being naive
And on the second point, you just dey conflict yourself. undecided You typed like someone high on drugs. Stop conflicting your mind. Fear of eternal damnation is hope in itself. You are trying to prove what doesn't exist.
Last, you concluding with the TB Joshua rumour means I'm wasting my time arguing with a small mind.
Cheers grin

Kobojunkie:
Then what you are dealing with is not clinical depression, but your everyday depressive thoughts. There is a huge difference. 😒

2. Religion does not cure clinical depression, which is why you will find that within religious circles, the suicide rates are no different from those outside of religion. Religion as a factor can be said to delay suicide, but it does not cure or prevent it. 😒
First, I didn't mention that I'm depressed. Depressed kee grin. I stand strong irrespective of the challenges. Last year was the most difficult of my life and I didn't fall into depression. I won smiley
Second, you only reiterated my point that religion helps prevent it by giving us hope.

Hence you haven't said anything special. cool

Our being religious has also been helpful. We keep hope alive irrespective of the difficulties.

I did my NYSC in Akpabuyo few kilometers to Bakassi and not to far from cameroon
I only briefly crossed over within minutes to Cameroon during my service year.
I properly traveled to Cameroon sometime in 2024 and spent over a week and I understood better. The English speaking Cameroon ought to be Nigerians. I believe they regret joining Cameroon after the plebiscite of 1960/61. And we share more in common with English Cameroon than with Togos. Togo keeee. And we are kinda have a close affinity with the cameroonians like we have with Benin. Travel there and have an understanding.

Who gives a fuccck about hell.

I am talking about doing the right thing and it takes common sense to do the right thing.

My dad was a deeper life member. He specifically told use no poster, feasting on his burial day.

All we did was go get this corpse, his pastor conducted the sermon and everybody goes home. Meanwhile alot of who's who in my state showed up.

We already anticipate some drama, so we arrange for some policemen to provide security.

Come and see the look on the villagers faces.

Was celebration of life not suppose to be joyous with happy faces? Why then is anger everywhere?

Remove feasting during burials and deaths in Africa will reduce by 70%.
In Africa, they've kinda made it a way of life. I understand your standpoint but I still see it as nothing.

But I disagree with this "Remove feasting during burials and deaths in Africa will reduce by 70%".

Feasting during burials is majorly for those who die in good old age. I don't know how not feasting during burials will stop people from dying in old age.

Oga, go and sit down always quick to judge and condemn Nigeria police force. You came into a country and picked a random girl to take to your country without parent consent. It's a business she has been doing and the informant gave police information.
Though it is very possible she was set up by the police and their agent informants and the police just want to chop inside or why would you think they have her phone to make contact out of the cell nobody monitoring her.

But the truth is that she is not innocent how can a Cameroonian pronounce ashawo fluently how does she know what is called ashawo house. If she had said prostitution I would have agreed.
You guy saw tears and jump to defend her.
When someone told you she is forced to do ashawo why not tell her to report to the police.
I know that area well nothing you fit tell me that hotel should be within Ajegunle orile trinity Alaba amukoko or festac. How can she pronounce kirikiri very fluently
Cameroonians are practically Nigerians sir. They come in and out of the country a lot. So don't judge her that way. I also don't think she's innocent though. I hope proper investigation will be done

In biblical isreal, people don't eat nor drink while carry out the burial rites, even if the deade person is 1,000 years old.
So will African Christians go to hell for eating during the funerals of the elderly ones?
They see it as a celebration of life.

In the house of mourning people mourn not feast. Don't misinterprete the bible.
In the case of someone who died in good old age and they are mourning and celebrating at the same time won't people eat. Death at gold old age is mourning and a celebration of life. I won't advocate eating at an untimely death(I don't even support such cooking). But anything in good old age is both mourning and feasting
So eat!

Give us a Bible verse where Jesus ate food at a burial? Since you are following the Bible
That the Bible doesn't record Jesus eating at any burial does not make it wrong to eat at one na. You are only celebrating the dead. Haba grin
In the case of untimely death it'd be hard to it. But what I learnt from elderly ones is that, the person dead is already ahead of them in death and should be honored. It's nothing to eat at funerals.

Personal I struggle with party foods, but I respect those who gladly eat it.
CultureRe: Eating At Funerals Is Wrong by Yemmysworld91: 1:44pm On May 12
DanOkonkwo:
This is my opinion regarding this matter, going to eat at funerals is not appropriate. A place of funeral is not a place of celebration or feasting but a place of solemnity but unfortunately some persons or most cultures has made it a must that food of assorted kinds must be prepared and people MUST eat.
I think that this part of our culture must be looked into, because I cannot imagine a family that is struggling to make ends meet still mandated to go through hell to provide a big burial where food must be cooked and served, just to bury a loved one.
There are even some that even go about in the community looking for funerals ceremony just to find where to eat and even go with extra.
Well if a man has the money to spend lavishly or call the community to feast in a burial, it's up to him but this should not be a rule.

What do you think?
Ecclesiastics 7:2
It is better to go to a house of mourning than to go to a house of feasting, since that is the end of all mankind, and the living should take it to heart.

You better eat ooo. It's nothing but honoring the dead. I no get patience to explain that scripture. But it ain't anything bad if you eat at funerals. May we not die untimely. Amen

Remove South West , Especially Lagos, Because it's Mainly South South and South East That makes up Lagos and South West, Ogun, Osun, ondo, Oyo and Ekiti barely make up 14%
Let's dash Lagos 20m (which is not possible, cos the highest Lagos can have is 15m)out of the 42m shown. That means the south west still has 22m higher than the 15m the south east has.

When crime is displayed and south west tops and this your logic is used, you will disagree. The crimes in the south west is at least 50 percent not done by South westerners. Other tribes take the remaining 50 percent.
