Unfortunately, after the Civil War coupled with the stereotype being orchestrated by the Lagos-Ibadan news media made the two regions look as enemies.
Alas, we are now in the social and digital age where the truth is now being layed bare before sane individuals.
The OK ticket will indeed make Nigeria 🇳🇬 OK 👌. You guys are bloody hypocrites In essence, the Yorubas and Fulanis are no longer brothers like you guys do postulate here? FreeStuffsNG: You are ignorant se. When you drag yourselves so low to believing their fake sophistry, do so with the humility to learn from people who can free you from the inferiority complex.
As I type here, I repeat, if US has strong institutions, a convicted person with multiple felonies will not even be their President. That will never happen in Nigeria because institutions are rooted in strong family and communal level. Institutions are structures that hold you accountable. US does not have strong institutions and they are just realizing it and tells you how shallow they are.
US as a country is younger than most traditional institutions in most parts of Nigeria. Those structures you are ignorant of, are still relevant and powerful in Nigeria till date.
Where insititutions work, that case will never reach the SC. It is like going all the way to SC to strip your own tax-paying citizens of theit citizenship.
Trump is using their tax to fund an immoral charade to strip a set of tax-paying US citizens of their citizenship.
Only ignorant people with low self esteem will believe that US has strong institutions. Omo!! You mean someone with a working brain typed all the rubbish you just did up there Now I understand why they rain insults on you daily on this platform. Brendaniel: You are speaking for yourself, did you condemn those who attacked those that were supporting Jonathan at the time the way you are doing now for Tinubu supporters?
The screenshot below says a lot about Tinubu supporters and you expect logic to be thrown away because of democracy?
In some countries they may have started lynching such people...
So we should just leave people to keep destroying the country for st00pd reasons in the name of democracy?
I'm not saying attack them physically but we also have a right to speak out, which is also part of democracy, because what you are saying is that we are wrong for verbally attacking them when we are not breaking any law under democracy...
It means you are only being hypocritical... isn't it democracy again?
Or you only choose the side that favours you because of tribal/religious agenda?
Let's practice democracy in it's fullness, except you are a hypocrite
I mean look at the conversation below and pause for a second then flip the scenario that it was Peter Obi and his supporters from the south east who did what is the conversation there, is this how you will be reacting to them?
People who supported Buhari for 8 years knowing he was a failure are the same people supporting Tinubu now and you want us to take whatever support they are giving to him seriously and just leave them?
How do you want us to believe them that they are supporting Tinubu because he is doing good for Nigeria?
I still say it, it is the south west that made me give up on the unity of Nigeria... This will be my last response to you. I don't know if you notice how I'm being careful and respectful in my choice of words. You've called me hypocritical, lynch those who support Tinubu and several blah blah from you To you guys, those who support Tinubu don't mean well for Nigeria what a way of reasoning Leave those who believe Tinubu is doing the right thing and counter them with your arguments. It's their point of view. Support and vote for your candidate. You guys are pained Tinubu is your president and I understand. Be ready to withstand that pain till 2031 cos only God can remove him through his demise (and it's wrong to wish anyone dead) I wish you well man. Linger in your pains cos God will keep him alive till 2031 |

Just look at the hypocrisy... I wasn't part of those who attacked Jonathan, I voted and campaigned for Jonathan. Why are you people so quick to generalize na!!!? I only had issues with Jonathan changing unilag name which we fought to a standstill.Second, he was all out to impress the North at the detriment of his Niger delta thinking he will win a second term. Tinubu no send the north and has challenged their hegemonic tendency. No qualms in you attacking Tinubu, that's the beauty of democracy. Campaign and also vote for your candidate. Brendaniel: I attack whoever supports Tinubu the same way, it is not about tribe, most Igbos supporting him are doing that for what they will eat and it is very annoying because to me they are paid saboteurs, so it's not about tribe, anyone supporting Tinubu, if their decision supporting Tinubu was not affecting the country negatively, then your statement leaving people to support any person may have been ok, but there are people who have suffered and died because of their decision and some never supported Tinubu... "affecting the country negatively" is subjective and cannot be regarded to as a fact. No government is bringing back fuel, fx and electricity subsidies. That's Tinubu major offence. And I know he can't tackle corruption. But, let those who support his policies be. Campaign and vote for yours. Shalom |

Brendaniel: What you should know is this, like I tell those around me, Peter Obi is not a saint either, but I like to apply logic and rational reasoning when dealing with politics.
Any man that wants to marry today in Nigeria will have to pick from the crop of women we have in Nigeria today, logically speaking you will want to pick the best among them even though she might not be a virgin, that you did not see a virgin to marry does not mean you will not marry and then classify all women as the same, that is an irrational thinking...
The question is, why is that principle not applied to picking leaders in Nigeria, among the crop of politicians we have today who have held public office in the past, why not pick the cleanest and the best among them?
Because once the assumption is applied that all politicians are the same then it gives room and justification for people to pick the worst in the name of: they are all the same just to suit their various agendas.
It is like a womanizer who refuses to marry and wants to keep engaging ashawo in the name of: all women are the same because he hasn't seen any virgin to marry...
That's what a whole lot of you are doing, this time with tribalism or religion, for me I don't care where the president comes from, I supported Buhari in 2015 vigorously, after a year plus I knew him and Tinubu just lied their way into office, so me supporting Peter Obi is not because he is Igbo.
After the Buhari mistake I said I will be doing more diligence with any person I support, and I have done that with Peter Obi, I would have supported Sowore but I will really like to see Sowore handle a smaller position first, Oshiomhole really spoilt the chances of Sowore..
If anyone had told me Oshiomhole will be doing what he is doing today when he was NLC chairman, i may have fought that person, so for now based on my findings it is Peter Obi..
Like I said earlier he is not a saint, but it is a start, we can start refining leadership from there, if every 4 or 8 years a better leader is elected, Nigeria would have gone farther than this, but when you have people choosing leaders because of religious or troibal agenda, the Nigeria you see today is the result.
imagine if Peter Obi does 4 or 8 years and after him, Osinbajo or Akinwumi Adesina is next, Nigeria will be moving forward, not Buhari and Tinubu kind of presidency where tribal and religious supremacy is what is behind their presidency...
If Peter Obi was corrupt like most politicians in Nigeria, I'm telling you this government would have gone after him, it may not even be to jail him like El-Rufai but just to ridicule him and dent his image.
Like I said earlier on, I don't care where the president comes from, I just want a president who will go there and work for the people Good point. However respect people's opinion and choice of who to support. If Obi is good for you, good for you. For some persons, Tinubu is in the right direction. Why is it that a Yoruba man supporting Tinubu is seen as a tribalist. On the other hand, an igbo man supporting Tinubu wants good governance? That's you people funny logic Vote and campaign for who you think is right and don't condemn that of others. Shalom |

Anambra would have been among the worst states in Nigeria today, most of you hating on him just hate him because of his tribe, someone who was impeached because he refused to do budget padding with the house of assembly and he stood his ground and took them to court and was reinstated is the same person you people are hating on... We have the lowest out of school children in Nigeria, that alone is a good indicator...
You people use propaganda, lies and overhyping as governance, that's why Tinubu who you people claimed was your best candidate in 2023 has turned Nigeria the way it is today...
Propaganda is not governance... The problem Nigerians have with Tinubu is the removal of fuel, fx and electricity subsidy. Tell me if your candidate will bring it back? No reasonable Nigerian leader is bringing back those subsidies. Time will tell, Tinubu will be celebrated for that decision. I'm not even a fan of Tinubu cos he obviously can't take corruption due to his politicking and he isn't a saint either. Brendaniel: If the effects of what is happening in the south west and the north today today is based on you people's political sophistication, please keep your political sophistication, we would rather be losing the presidency than having the nonsense going on in both regions, don't you people ever learn?
The North that has ruled Nigeria the most is currently the most terrorized and most out of school children in Nigeria and the world followed by the south west in the entire south, doesn't that tell you something?
That the way and manner you people seek power for presidency is costing you people a lot because it is a dirty way, it is like someone who goes to do blood money, it is not the right way, so it will cost him a lot and maybe even his life, that is the same thing going on, sadly that is what you people call political sophistication.
Look at the people you even brought up for Igbos to support, the worst among the leaders in Igbo land, you didn't even talk of Governor Otti or Governor Mbah, I'm not surprised though, when you people had the option of Osinbajo and Tinubu, you people chose Tinubu all because you want to win election and prove that you people know how to play dirty politics and win.
And that is political sophistication to you people, to you people, politics and democracy is not about the progress of the country, it is about supremacy, we will keep doing what we are doing as long it is the right thing to do, let us see how each region will fare in the long run, you people and the North can keep doing what you are doing, at least we have played our part by advising you people to start doing right.
Lastly even if all the candidates of the NBA are Yoruba people and it is the turn of the Yoruba people, if truly Mrs Ezekwesili was a tribalist, she would have abstained from supporting, she has a choice, a real tribalist will abstain because every candidate is Yoruba but she did not do it...
So how can you call her one? Those I mentioned ain't igbos right? I leave you to your sense of judgement if those I mentioned ain't good enough. You people can't even make good choice of leaders within your region. What special thing has those governing your region done that makes your region better than others. Even you people messiah was a failure as governor. I laugh when I see you people talk about him. Leadership failure permeates our society because of who we are. Bad leaders, worse followers |

Brendaniel: She also had the option to abstain from supporting any but she did, can you say the same for tribalist south westerners when 2023 was supposed to be turn of the Igbos if we also go by rotation like the NBA is doing.. In Nba there's rotation and it's the turn of the western bar and there's nothing she or anybody can do about it. Now to my question, where is it stated that it's the turn of the Igbos to produce the president? Kindly show me. For fairness, Igbos ought to produce the president in 2023 and I clearly made that known to people in my circle. However, the Igbos are politically naive and not calculative and that was the reason for the loss. You guys may repeat the same mistake by 2031 if Uzodinma or Umahi don't get enough support from your people to get the vp. The game for that is already on and that's why Uzodinma wants to go to the Senate. The south south are also being strategic already. The South West were strategic and it made it easy for them.
