I siaco: If we continue waiting, we will wait forever. Now is the time it's either mandatory real time transmission of results or no elections.
We cannot leave the future of over 200 million Nigerians in the hand of few individuals who has decided to take as fools. Enough is enough, Nigerians must get it right now or never.
Let's pass the right electoral bill and whoever that wins will be generally accepted. Unfortunately, nothing can be done once it's passed. Majority carries the vote. It's one of the disadvantages of democracy |
Politics › Re: The 15 Senators Who Voted FOR Mandatory Real-time Transmission Clause Are: by Yemmysworld91: 9:18am On Feb 18 |
Majority carries the vote and that's the beauty of democracy. So I see nothing wrong. I often do advocate voting the right people into the parliament. I also pray we find a way to make the local government much more vibrant, by so doing governance will be close to the people and we will be able to checkmate those in power.
For a transparent election, electronic transmission is the best, but the majority currently have it in the legislature and we can do nothing for now. Let's respect their decision and wait till we have the right majority in the parliament |

StoryHaven: You are right. That is why the nation should just be splited and be governed separately.
The problem is the fear of "What would the northerners say?" Because they term every government action as against the north.
The only thing that can bring peace is to get separated. Balkanization of the country wouldn't solve all our problems. Every country in the world is an artificial creation. I understand you sir and I agree that the north continue to drag us backwards, but we need strong institutions. I did a whole research on this topic, it was in fact my undergraduate thesis and I've partially worked on this in my second degree and other researches. There's more to us than breaking up. |

GeneralOuki: Which kind cut and join history is this bayi? It was not the North that chose Yoruba in 1999, it was Alex Ekwueme. Ekwueme was handed the PDP presidential ticket but he rejected it and instead handpicked OBJ to be the party flag bearer in order to pacify the Yoruba after the June 12 wahala. Obj became party flag bearer because Alex Ekwueme, an Igbo man, chose him over his own ambitions. https://www.nairaland.com/5925313/pdp-presidential-primaries-history-factsHaa.. I deliberately gave you a nairaland link so that you can see the primaries result of the pdp in 1999 yourself . The plan was to pacify the Yorubas, Alex was just jumping (That's one of the men that inspire me in life though. I admire and a huge fan of his lifestyle. May Ekwueme soul continue to rest in peace) So, get your facts right |

Politics › Re: Isaac Fayose: "Thank God I'm Not Igbo, They Are Easily Bought With Money, Power" by Yemmysworld91: 12:54pm On Feb 11 |
franchasofficia: No, you are wrong.
The North already know that they have a major problem in the South coming from the Southeast, so having another major tribe from the South angry will definitely spell doom for Nigeria.
It is the Yorubas that have held Nigeria from breaking up because they are the people always partnering with the North to force Igbos to remain in Nigeria, so it's common sense to pacify your partner in crime to avoid bigger problem.
So it has nothing to do with Yorubas fighting for Abiola, it has more to do with Northerners applying wisdom to save Nigeria from total disintegration when Igbos and Yorubas together want to leave Nigeria, of course Northerners cannot stop it but when Igbo alone wants to leave, it's easier to stop them through majority partnership of North and Southwest.
Same way, it's easier to stop Yorubas from ever leaving Nigeria if North and Southeast partner together.
That's why for many years, North always worked with Southeast to keep Southwest in opposition until 2015 that Tinubu led Yorubas to partner with North against Southeast that wanted Jonathan to remain, and that disrupted the North-Southeast political partnership and led to the emergence of a first ever pan-Yoruba President Tinubu now destroying every fabric of Nigeria. I don't agree with you but I respect your opinion. I don't remember any issue rearing it head from the south east as of 1999. Massob came with obasanjo presidency. But will the south east and the south west ever unite in this political game? In your second paragraph, you just mentioned one point most South Easterners don't agree with , the fact that they need to work with other regions if they want the disintegration. The north remain politically savvy, the south west is trying but can never be politically united. But the south east ehn.. Make i leave am there |

Ewedegubbler: This guy Dey craze.
Is it the same Igbos that have locked their businesses for 4 years in protest against the injustice on Kanu?
Can he tell us what Yorubas have done in loyalty to any of their own? Their leaders betrayed Abiola and sold him out to Abacha and yet I’ve not heard anyone calling them out for that.
His brother who is a pdp leader has sold himself cheap to Tinubu and betrayed his own party. The charity should begin in fayoses home .. Let me respond to the second paragraph only and I will do that with a question. Why do you think the North decided that a Yoruba man must be president in 1999? Two of the major parties then had Yoruba men as presidential candidates.. The north knew the country will be hot if they don't pacify the Yorubas following the death of Abiola.. What you people call cowardice by the Yorubas is diplomatic warfare. Whereas your constant chant of wars from the pre-civil war till date is seen as barking dogs. Note that I'm not in support of Peter Fayose, that's his opinion but you don't have to come for his whole tribe |

If Oyetola comes out today to contest, do you think Adeleke can defeat Oyetola?
Tinubu doesn't have a problem with Adeleke. In fact, Dr. Deji is Tinubu's ally right from Lagos. Have you forgotten that Tinubu was Serubawon's ally? The candidate fielded by Apc isn't a weak one o. Apc has a solid structure already. Oyetola isn't liked by Apc majority and old age is also telling on him already. Deji and his younger brother fumbled so no alignment again.. Adeleke is a goner |

Seyi Makinde of Oyo Same person who collected money from the FG and didn't declare?
Dauda Lawal of Zamfara Ever seen this one say anything against Tinubu or the FG? His own beef is with Mattawale and the other one.
Ahmadu Fintiri of Adamawa Atiku didn't want him to come back, he was in fact one of the silent Governors under Wike back then. This one is a Tinubu mercenary. His job is to bury Atiku locally.
Alex Otti of Abia Otti that informed Tinubu of his movement to LP when OUK didn't allow him rest in Abia APC. Tinubu asked him to get an alternative platform.
Ademola Adeleke of Osun Tinubu has an honorary PhD from the Adeleke University in Ede. The current arrangement is for Oyetola not to contest and for APC to field a weak candidate in Osun so Adeleke can win.
Chukwuma Soludo of Anambra. Just like Fintiri, this one has just 1 job description. Bury Obi locally. He's 100% loyal to Tinubu. You are right on others but wrong on Osun. He wants Adeleke out. Adeleke ensured Tinubu lost osun and it's pay back time. He went to beg, but the apc guys in osun rejected him. I can't wait for the osun election in June |

AMINDA: What does it matter? This changes nothing in the grand scheme of things. Can Makinde do more than he did for Tinubu as member of G5 in 2023? Tinubu invited him to probably apologise and induce him to jettison his presidential ambition. He will keep doing that because we already told you that the only way he can return elected, is to be the only candidate on the ballot. Tinubu is afraid and it clearly shows. We know the whole drama between Wike and Makinde was scripted and was a strategy to destroy the PDP, but it has backfired because the main opposition figures have aligned. Tinubu will now sacrifice the political ambitions of Penkelemesi and Teslim in favour of Makinde's candidate. He only cares about his own ambition. With this your reasoning, you are obviously a kiddo in political analysis... You know nothing |
