Pix of the ongoing construction, thank God people are already coming back now. Enough pix to feed the world. awarded just two weeks back and nothing to show for it but tractors and machines. Let's see the work now. Anambra state had helped them already with some portions if the Enugu-Onitsha, show me of the rest. Liars from hell |

nku5: I really an trying to grasp your point in relation to the OP's and my initial post. I have said over and over that the SE has received the least in terms of infrastructure but no be today and we will always move forward.
My question to you is who do you think likes the SE? Is it Buhari and his party with animals like Amaechi with his "are we biafrans" statement or is it Nyako? Even lowly APC supporters (plus the fools we see on NL) pour tons of hate of ndi igbo. My guy what is your point?
As we speak Innoson is producing cars in nnewi and the company is heavily aided by a policy of this administration. Other policies are opening up opportunities and our people will tap in without bare faced discrimination as e have seen in the past. Innoson had started producing vehicles aided by the patronage of the Anambra and Enugu states government before the FG noticed anything was going on, so don't ascribe anything to GEJ here. We receive the least in allocation and will continue to move forward and has the present government made any change about it? Pouring tons of hate on Ndigbo if i understood it for what you wrote is because Ndigbo have no direction in national politics for now, we only go after the government in office expecting appointments but never vying for same presido office or another Igbo would pull you down. Simply put nna, we are the victim of our making and need not blame anyone else. What about trying selling some of our good intellectuals to be voted for by other Nigerians, no way, it's GEJ or heaven falls. As if the Ijaws would give a hoot if it's an Igbo man. |

Now you are talking about flooding of Enugu airport, not its new international status and upgrade after over 38 years of yorubas/Fulani leadership. How many times have the airport been flooded. how many times did Lagos, Abuja and PH airports make top 10 in Africa during Buhari, obasanjo etc rules? I will probably not reply you again My last reply to you as well, where are you based in Anambra or the SE of Nigeria. If no answer then STFU. |

FreeGlobe: You are clearly a victim of the SW media with the rubbish you type. While your Islamic fundermentalist saviour that will save Nigeria failed to award a single project in the East during his rule while tarring all the roads in the north with ptf money, GEJ has upgraded the Enugu airport, the started onitsha/Enugu expressway from the onitsha axis, empowered more igbos (today we have more legitimate igbo billionaires), supported innoson vision, honored igbo sons esp Achebe when the Hausa/Yorubas caucus thought otherwise. And yet in your widest imagination you think we will leave him and go back to Hausa/Yorubas presidency? you must be a clown! Go ethnic or religious as others, e no concern me. Started Onitsha-Enugu because of election just weeks ago, a road that was better in 2011 than today, what happened years back? nku5: OP - You are an APC member. True or false.
The article is aimed at one thing subtle central point which is that GEJ, an Ijaw man has done nothing for us while Buhari, a Fulani man can do more for us if we align with him and his ambition.
First and foremost a major number of the APC's bigwigs like Amaechi and Nyako have expressed irritating anti-igbo sentiment that will be an issue for some time to come. Go to Upper Iweka and ask the average Joe what he thinks of Fashola ...
The writer of that article is a clown for likening todays politics to 1966 and claiming that igbos are stuck in that year. OP what is your take on such silly analogies??
The fact is that GEJ hast really done much in the SE in terms of infrastructure compared to what he has done in the north and SW in order to win their votes but he has appealed to Igbo sensitivities like no other president has done and its working wonders for him. Call it wayo or whatever the man is creating an atmosphere of inclusion of igbos by putting them in few positions in his government and we have seen how our northern and SW brothers have castigated him for "igbonising" the place. Why won't he win igboi hearts? Hold your peace, do you live in Onitsha to know the opinion of the people around here or anywhere around the SE. Infrastructure like which roads, empty port, painted airport or a remodeled secondary school called a university? You guys should please do the needful abeg. |

Seen this, we're going higher http://nationalmirroronline.net/new/minister-hails-rising-anambras-gdp/Minister hails rising Anambra’s GDP by CHARLES OKEKE on Feb 19, 2014 | No comments Posted under: News 7 4 0 0 The Supervisory Minister of National Planning and Minister of State for Works, Bashir Yuguda, has revealed how the economy of Anambra State has grown, leading to about 40 percent rise in its Gross Domestic Product (GDP) from N735.80 billion in 2009 to N1.005 trillion in 2011. The minister expressed happiness over the impressive rise in the state’s GDP, noting that it grew better than those of some African and Caribbean countries. Speaking yesterday while presenting the Pilot Survey Findings on the GDP to the members of the Anambra State Executive Council at the Governor’s Lodge in Awka, the state capital, Yuguda attributed the rise to purposeful leadership of Governor Peter Obi. He said that the Pilot Survey Scheme conducted by the National Planning Commission in collaboration with the National Bureau of Statistics in seven states selected from the six geo-political zones would be completed by December. The minister disclosed that the findings were based on data generated from agriculture, industry and other services using production and income approaches, with agriculture recording 30 percent; industry four percent and service sector 66 percent. He assured that the commission would commence immediate updating of the GDP to capture the numerous achievements recorded since 2010 when the last study was conducted before the end of Governor Obi’s tenure. The Statistician General of the Federation, Mr. Yemi Kale, said Anambra was one of the most developed states in the country. Kale urged the people of Anambra State to take advantage of the huge opportunity in small and medium enterprises potential to improve internally generated revenue. Responding, Governor Obi said Anambra had achieved a lot in all sectors, adding that it recorded robust direct foreign investments by multi-national companies. The governor noted that the state had the highest number of bank branches after Lagos and Abuja, which he said was an indication of viable economic growth. Obi said: “Anamrba remains the only state that has not borrowed in the country.” He said the rating of Anambra in the pilot survey was a strong statement of the status of the state in the country. Also speaking, the Secretary to the State Government, Mr Oseloka Obaze, said Anambra ranked higher in direct foreign investment. |

tabletman1: Onitsha has more yoruba tailors than Igbo tailors. The yoruba tailors are actually sewing cloth in big quantities for some traders who deals with traditional garment. So in a yoruba tailors shop, you can count upto 10 men in a small shop. Some of them work night and day to meet up their demand. They can sew upto +50 cloths+trousers per night. You're right in a way but i feel Ndigbo anyi really don't take tailoring as an avenue they can actually make money so relegated it to outsiders, just like like okada riders had been relegated long ago |
