carujmonella: I didn't loose my cool, badosky.. she made a false accusations that will favour feminist. @y-fo fell for it and I exposed her, and she called my post crap and her riposte sounded lame and dumb to me cos she's no facts to debunk my post. That's all o

axion: @y-fo

And for the record I HAVE been ignoring handles here ever since I found them belligerent, in case you haven't noticed. Unlike someone like Ishilove, who I like to pull her legs and sometimes I say things that sound mean but I know she knows I'm kidding. I generally ignore or avoid people that I find irritable or those who find me irritable.
This is nairaland, peeps are bound to get on your nerves. Kudos for ignoring some posts and if you can call the people you are debating with to their flaws, I believe you wouldn't have to throw insults back.

axion: Abegi I never said I'm perfect. Am I expected to be perfect because I am arguing for feminism or what? I lost my cool and I guess that wasn't good, but don't make it like that's the real point here. I apologize if I didn't live up to your expectations.
Haha bro, you tried to wriggle out of it and I just pointed what your post entailed.

Everyone looses their cool and I already said I could somewhat understand you, thanks for the apology.

Looking forward to your engaging arguments.

ileobatojo: I'm just trying to demonstrate how ridiculous some posts are. Far as I can see, the reasons some have given are no different than saying they don't support equality because females have no pe*nises and males have no va*ginas. They all demonstrate a complete lack of education about the subject matter.

*It's sis*
If you want to go to the extremes here then I can easily point out feminists that hate men and want to treat us worse than animals, should I then dismiss the whole feminist movement just cuz of those few huh

Although some on our side (who don't debate long enough) post some fairly sexist messages, none have come close to the degree you taking it to. haba cheesy.

Haha...then if you don't want some mis-understandings to occur in the future, please get a gender tag. Thank you wink.

Bwahahahaha!!! Where do these people come from? Have they ever opened a book?
Bro, I don't support feminism fully (although mrs chima doesn't want me to tongue) but this isn't a particularly good point to make.

if it were about body organs, we don't have va.gi.nas or bre.asts now do we....please don't give them more ammunition to fire back-side with wink

axion: Ah the worst of the Nigerian lot are all here undecided

Some can't hear the word "feminism" without reacting like rabid dogs on a Pavlovian leash.

How exactly is feminism affecting your lives adversely? Ah of course, if you are male you are scared of losing your precious privileges. The ones that amuse me are the females.
@axion^^^This is what you said and yes you didn't quote anyone but you did something worse, the tirade is clearly on those who don't take the feminism side.

I was enjoying reading your posts until that happened and you trying to ret-con what you posted isn't cool.

You were replying two or three people and it's normal to get frustrated, but what stopped you from simply ignoring the aspects you didn't like especially after you had quoted the 'strawman's logic'. A case of the preacher not practicing what he preaches perhaps.

Back to the blunt you huh.

Anyways, atleast I had a warm welcome from you so it means we can share a healthy relationship -no pun intended- despite our 'differences' smiley.
Cornered? You are the one that said you are for feminism and CONTRADICTED yourself saying it's not realistic. grin grin

I have never expected a dummy to say they are for feminism but it's unrealistic. grin

So now you are not a feministhuh Since feminists don't tell the truth when they.are cornered according to you?

Buhahahahahha. This is hilarious!
Abeg o, please don't turn this thread to its sister i.e a hate/insult thread.

the use of the word 'dummy' is a spark that can ignite to several pages worth of insults -not that you afraid of going down that route (obviously not)- but it would destroy the educative aspect of this thread.

Would be much appreciated if you could refrain from posting further 'sparks'. Thank you smiley

bro, weren't you the one that brought up 'strawman's logic' just now...now look at your first line and tell me why you decided that those who don't agree with you are the 'worst of the nigerian lot'.

Up until that point, you had been making sense but you are just gonna drag all that good work down the mud, going down that route is a sign of either frustration or unwarranted arrogance.

why is it so hard to have civil debates on this topic huh

No, I am not participating in the discussion. I have no interest in discussing with the anti-feminists on the thread, they have nothing to offer that I haven't seen before.
The feeling's mutual

And does it mean I escape your anti-feminist list shocked

pc guru: Okay i think we should stick to the topic, now there are three points of View; those that support feminism but feel its not realistic and those that totally support it and those against it, so each has stated his opinion, i guess there's nothing more to that again anything else would be insults and off points.
If you witnessed the sister thread, you would know you absolutely spot-on bout the end-result as no one is likely to shift grounds.

Nah.......Facebook wasn't just my thing thoh I bin on it.

carujmonella: It's not impossible. I'm PRO-feminist to a great extent. I support sane unbiased feminist.
Thought you said you wouldn't contribute on this thread....just couldn't resist any longer hmm wink

Though I understand why you had to, but I'll do my best not to get into another round of debates. From my POV, the feminists and we with african traditions don't mix well...we don't agree on some basic things and our perspectives on some issues are so different you'd wonder if we were talking bout the same subject matter cheesy

Even if we say we agree with most of their principles, we don't get credit from most of them and still get painted as total anti-feminists sad.

@de beauvoir, I see you not getting into the debates as well wink, wishing all you guys -debaters and by-standers alike- a wonderful week ahead. Cheers smiley.

Jbluv55: Ok ya'll be forming like ya'll cud pass my test,
Why not try it out without a bullet proof vest,
And if you can't do dat why not join the rest,
The rest r those that dint make the contest,
Reason bin that they just cudnt beat me first,
And thats becos dey dint kno how 2 make jests,
And so all they do now is just to protest,
Asking me how I managed to become the best,
Some of them even decided to be pests,
But I just don't care coz I already own the crest.

As you implied you wrote this....thumbs up.
