Nomski0: No Kim K?#5. by d way, hope u feeling better now |
That "viewer discretion" notice gave me hope that i would see beautiful, young and firm boobies on nairaland @last... wish i had known that i would be seeing the exact opposite |
If we go by what movies portray then Yorubas are diabolical, Igbos are ritualist/cultists, Nigerians are fraudsters, Americans are psychopaths, Russians are terrorists, Indians are suicidal(i hear that's true btw), Chinese all know martial arts, Earthlings are morally and technologically weak and some day Aliens will take over. Point is movies have an image to portray. From being satirical to historical, entertaining to being the product of a hyperactive imagination
coming from nairaland's movie princess...i'd take all that to heart as d lawbtw, i haven't given up my quest to "borrow" your stash of movies*winky* |
Pity i havent witnessed a live "cat fight" ...i'l make do with d e-version though@topic, guys no get wahala...just put on a tux and u start feeling like james bond ![]() |
DerideGull: IF the above crap allegedly credited to speaker, Aminu Tambuwal, is remotely truth, there is apparent no need to be in the same country with such a fool who thinks every action by human beings under the Sun is corruptive. If this fool thinks that since every goon in Nigeria believes that the purchase of two cars was act of corruption that should require accelerated prosecution, one wonders why Nigeria has government in the first place.first of all, i wanted to say you are an ass for quoting that long post...but i wont. secondly, if you had bothered to read what u just quoted then you will find that u just repeated what he had already stated...the legislative investigates but have no power to punish and so jona in not keeping his side of d bargain (punishing) is condoning corruption... isnt that what u were ranting bout? |
Skinni10ne: If i may ask, what has remembering these events done to develop our country?i was speaking specifically to the person i quoted cuz he went down history lane but stopped short of where the whites damaged the blacks. if its a case of what has been happening since independence, then we are to blame and there is no question bout that(though i have a few theories on that) |
alienware: you need to get urself informed before coming here to call me a poor soul , abt 150 years ago those guys had already built steam fired trains and many machines, what have you been able to do with ur own RICH SOUL up till this moment ?instead of you to accept that u an ignoramus, you came back and confirmed that fact like a lil school boy that u are. first of all, we africans were almost on par with the europeans in terms of organisation and development. then we got enslaved for centuries and the productive youth that would have developed us further were taken over there to work on their fields and provide food for them while their mind was freed up to advance more without worry. if u are not proud enough of your skin to remember events such as these then there is always the michael jackson route...and take the friend who liked your post with u. *r.i.p to m.j as that route was forced upon u* |
What? He avoided the school like a plague even though he knew parts of his soul was there. He did not see anything beyond his nose and did not understand a lot of things. Voldemort was just some kids with a lot of bottled up anger within him and so he lashed out. Do you think Voldemort would square up against Grindelwald? Someone people feared more than voldemort but will expected dumbledore to go and fight him. And Grindelwald even had the elder wand
i just finished reading the series again in the last one week (blame ASUU) and it is clear that both voldemort and dumblebore are on par but voldy edges it cuz of youth. 1. dumbledore said himself that his most complecated spells would be broken by voldy. 2. grindewald is stated to be no.2 darkest wizard behind voldy and its clear cuz peeps even fear just his name. |
Vivly: True that. Even in book seven, Dumbledore had to beg snape for death so he wouldn't face voldemort. So much for him being the only person voldemost was scared of.in a way u right but he was already dying then and i guess both never really wanted to face each other. thats my take on it but with voldermort having a slight edge when they duel. |
Ever wondered why Hogwards was one of the few places that was safe when Voldemot wanted power? Even when he got to power, he avoided a confrontation. And dont judge Harry potted based on the movie. The movie says Harry killed Voldemort which is false
its cuz voldi would rather beat up other people easily and rule most of the magic world than pick a fight with dumbledore that would be extremely difficult and do little to advance his (voldermorts) cause. and i hate the movies so the snake and avada kedavra curse simultenous hit is in the book. |
Go and read the book Harry potter. Dumbledore is more powerful especially when he was younger and he went on the search of the Deathly hallows. When he gave up the quest, he tuned good and he limited the power he could use. He was the only one Voldemot remember?
i would put voldermort slightly ahead of dumbledore cuz of his old age and on par if he was younger...remember when they dueled in part 5 and the phoenix had to take a curse for dumbledore so he could deal with the snake attacking him? |
tomakint: Who is this?a clear sign of intellectualy inept people...attack the messager and ignore the message. call me if u ever have concrete points...or ever grow up. |
tomakint: What many Ignoramus here don't seem to know is that, even if the great Madiba Mandela was to be a Nigerian President, he would be rubbished, Nigerians are terribly difficult set of humans to be governed! Jonathan may not have attained to the height of Mandela but by Nigerian standard and with his politics of 'reaching out to his political foes' makes him come closer! I am yet to see any President in the history of this country as magnanimous as Goodluck Ebele Jonathan!will you shut it please. why dont you e-sycophants get that what we celebrate in madiba is his character and great love for his country that never wavered and can never be questioned. but u gej henchmen skip over the fact that jonathan tactics are shady. e.g. freeing a known criminal, flying abroad for lil ailments, using the millitary to scare political opponents...and these are traits that can never, i repeat never be found in mandela and the world cherishes him for being a great symbol of what a true lead |
ROSSIKE: Jonathan has been a far busier president than Mandela ever was. Mandela took over a South Africa that was for all intents and purposes, already developed, with infrastructure, power, good schools etc etc already in place. All he did was basically sit in his airconditioned office drinking tea and preaching peace and reconciliation. Jonathan on the other hand, is out there on the streets, in the hot sun, commissioning rail projects.i havent posted in a while but the stupidity in this is far too great to ignore. mandela entered power when two tribes (the white and blacks) were in a deep conflict and yet he managed to reconcile the two sides without bloodshed...compare this to jona's handling of the northern crises and the resultant bloodshed, and now tell me who is the better leader? |

I know the thread isn't moving in its original direction but the line of the op comparing 'good guys' to 'good nutritious food' got me thinking... Aren't vegetable, soya milk and their likes called 'good and nutritious foods'...still most peeps (especially me) absolutely loathe them. And 'junk food' like the ones found in eateries and all has been termed 'bad for the health' by some....raise your hand if you don't care bout that and still feast on them like there's no tommorow *hands up* Just trying to point out that even with your analogy, it shows why some (most) girls would wanna date who you term 'bad guys'. Your classification looks logical and all and can work in some cases but it sure as hell isn't UNIVERSAL. |
