like most things in nigeria, the good aspects of life have been used for terrible purposes and it ends up achieving the opposite of its desired effect.
the obvious answer that comes to mind is to scrap the whole of it so as to solve the problem, but that is equivalent to what pastor kumuyi's act of banning television cuz of its negative use by some... although there seems to be a spike in hypocrites in christiandom these days, it doesn't give one the right to generalise it to the whole as there are still good christians and muslims in this country...

Marthakings: i went out and came back kinnda late oneday and i decided to do d dishes.... my mum found me in d kitchen and told me it was forbidden in my dad's tribe(Edo) to do chores at night or late evenings... and at dat tym, it was about 6:30pm... does any other person's tribe forbid it?

depends on which place in edo u talking bout...I'm also from edo and I've never heard of such....

infact, I did the dishes around 9:00p.m yesterday and my pops simply gave a nod of approval...

just watched "the glory road" bout the first set of black americans to play basketball...it makes one remember the sacrifices our forw-fathers made for us to enjoy what we have now...
