Vivly: So many things.
1. Cedric's death. He shouldn't have died. The book needed a school hottie in books 5 and 6. Maybe he died so Twilight could use him.
2. I would have wanted Neville to be the chosen one. You know the prophecy talked about two boys born on june(Harry and Neville)
3. Sirius too. He lived a pathetic life. His death just completed his miserable existence. Too bad.

Any man that has a problem with being assertive, either doesn't believe in what he stands for or has deeper issues. (Prolly battling self esteem issues, scared that he'll loose his partner or is socially awkward.)

I think the question he needs to ask himself is, why is he tweaking his so-called nature?? Does it fit the picture of the man he wants to be??

I'm not talking about inspiration or encouragement but letting people be the reason for your change is letting them have a defining power over you. Men need to stop finding their identity in the eyes of some bimbo or society.

If you mean a guy should change aspects of himself only for his personal choice of whom he wants to be and no one else...then I agree with you.

Unfortunately it isn't that simple...if a guy by nature isn't romantic and a workaholic, being on a relationship and he decides to change that aspect -obviously for his lady- would you still see this as packaging and what not?

If there is a woman in this world who thinks a jerk is what's good for her, I won't argue with her. But if she's my daughter or a relative, she'd best never come around to complain about her husband's "jerkness".

It's a really crazy world today if we think that even bad things aren't so bad just cos "we ain't all the same, some people actually like that stuff". Treating a woman like a yo-yo, a toy you can turn on and off at will is wrong and not good for any woman. But then who the hell would waste their time making a law against suicide? What's the point?

Bro, what makes this life work is variety and you suggesting just nice guys for all ladies is...really wrong.

What matthew briggs said is what should mostly work, there are some qualities of the 'jerks' nice guys SHOULD emulate so as to be a better mate. That doesn't mean you're being fake but striving to better one's self, if by default I'm nice and I don't tweak a few things to be more attractive to the opposite sex (especially when ive been shot down a number of times) then that is a classic example of a dunce.

What you also fail to realise is the harsh reality of 'opposites attract', a girl who is nice and a bit boring would be better of with a 'jerk' who can bring out the fun side of her and has the commitment of a 'nice' guy.


*in conclusion, there can never be just black and whites as a mix of both sides is what makes the world go round...a jerk by default can incorporate some of the good qualities of a nice guy and vice-versa.

Been waiting for a post of a real encounter with the Men/Women In Black but so far nothing ....no offence @jbluv.

This happened to me a couple of months into my fresh year @my uni.
Just another average day had ended on campus and at an ungodly hour, I woke up startled to see one of the broses in the room jumping from his bunk and shouting "in Jesus name!" and the target of this was....a black bird. Soon as those words were uttered, it dissapeared and the bros just climbed his bed and went back to sleep like nothing just happened .
While the dude was soundly asleep, I learnt the true meaning of the phrase 'breaking out in cold sweat'...got my mattress soaked and couldn't sleep a wink for the rest of the night . (I found out I had the hidden talent to pray silently for hours straight that night sha)





*I know this sounds like a scene outta nollywood and if it didn't happen to me personally I'd waive it off as such, but it happened right before my very eyes and I got mad respect for deeper lifers ever since that day.
