Hi,
Sorry about your denial. Short term visiting visa is not guaranteed anymore, even if all your documents are intact.
In your case, I think you have to increase your minimal balance to between 1.5m to 2m regardless of the balance in your sponsor's account, and build the account over a period of 3 months, ,make sure the opening balance is around 1m , and closing balance in the 3rd month is between 1.5m to 2m.

Do you mind sharing when you applied and when you received the decision?

Thanks and Goodluck.

Hello guyz
This is like the second time they will deny me and my son visa
Somebody help!!
I dont know what to do again
Should i reapply or apeal because i dont trust this south embassy again its like they are broke and just need money or is it the waiver form i signed
These are the reasons for denial
Insuffucient fund after my husband 65k rand plus his credit count account of 45rand

And my own closing balance of 500k

Second reason: Unclear and unverifiable sponsors account statement

That was very fast though.
Appeal might take minimum of 5 months and above, hence its not advisable to appeal, especially if its a short term visiting visa.
Just submit a fresh application after identifying the problems from your submitted documents.

Finfavour:
Thanks so much for Response.
I applied on May 28 and got their reply on July8
Roughly a month plus.
Pls, like how long will it take for them to reply the appeal?
Thanks

Please when did you apply?
Its better you have a re-look at all the documents submitted and find out which of them might lack credibility or might not be coherent with other document. Appealing is possible but will take forever to come out with no guarantee that their decision will be overturned.
After finding the issue with your documents, you can definitely re-apply. Good luck.
Finfavour:
Good day every one.
Pls I need your help.
Is it good to make an appeal to the Consulate General after your visa application is denialed?
If yes, please how do I go about it? Do I have to book appointment with VSF again or I should just go there?

Pls help me.
I just received my passport yesterday and visa was denialed on the ground that "documents lack credibility". No particular document was mentioned.
They also said I can make a written representation to the Consulate via VFS within 10 working days. Pls I need advice.
I applied for a visiting visa proposed June 28 to July 15

Thanks

Someone should please respond to this query, can you just walk in and submit at VFS Lagos or the online appointment is compulsory ?
Yhamo:
Good day house,
I am planning to submit an application at VFS Lagos, and i have been trying to book appointment online but there are no available slots for the rest of the month. My guess is that there might be some technical issues with their online booking platform. Can i just walk in to submit or the online booking appointment is compulsory? Please anyone that submitted recently should please respond to this.

Thanks

Good day house,
Is it advisable for a mother to include a child in a study permit visa application? What's the probability the study permit will be granted especially if the mother is married and the husband is not going with them ?
What is best way to apply for a study permit and include a less than 2 year old child in the application?

Please what do you mean by markings? You mean the Visas on the passport ??
MissMa01:

No need for blank pages. Upload stamps and markings on your old passport, stamps, markings and bio data page of your new passport

Hi Everyone,
When you want to upload your travel documents post ITA , what does the multiple in bracket means ? Do one have to upload all past/expired passports as well, including all the pages in the passport ? or only the current valid passport is enough?
Lastly is it compulsory to upload all blank pages in the passport, even though no stamps or visa on them?

Thanks guys..

Aside the confirmation of employment attached, did you add any other document(s) to evidence the other inflows? was there activities like outflows on the account? its not about the balance BUT strong evidence of source of income tho! because those small small deposits would appear to the embassy like the applicant is being crowd funded to migrate! that's what they mean by "Bank statement Transaction lacks credibility" .

hence in the future....try and prove any payment in account you intend to use! one amongst the many ways to do this is by presenting 2 separate account. 1 as a salary account and the other her side business account.....(as you already said she's a fashion designer/trainer)

hope this helps!

Thanks for this tip... But yes, there was outflow of money as well.. But you are right , I think the logical explanation should be to separate the salary bank account from the business account... or in the future, just declare she's self employed backed by the business registration certificate and submit only the business account bank statement...
Not sure if I'm making sense..

They just don't want to issue her visa. Covid 19 is seriously affecting them. There has been a lot of rejection lately.
I reckon as well... I wonder what to submit to convince these guys now..

Can you please elaborate on what you mean by it's a generic response? Why would they say the bank transactions lacks credibility? What could have went wrong with the statement ?
Are you saying that 1.9M balance is not enough? if you travel out of festive season, I believe one should still get a flight ticket of around 300k.. ......

It's a generic response
1.9M bank balance is enough to support your family trip, flight tickets alone will half that money and what will the family live on after travel expenses

Good day house,
I recently applied for Visitor's visa for my wife and a year old son to visit SA. The application was packaged in such a way that my wife is working with a salary of about 200k naira per month( Salary was deposited in her account for more than three months consecutively) and a letter of confirmation of employment was attached, it was also declared that she is a fashion designer(that's her main job anyway), and she sew clothes for clients on weekends when shes not working, she also has some students she trains as well, hence, there were inflow and outflow of small amount of money(4k, 5k, 10k, 15k, 20k etc) frequently in her account. The balance in her account as at the time of submission was around 1.9m naira accumulated over time.
The person that invites her have a Permanent Resident in SA with good job and good pay as well, bank statements and even payslip of the person was submitted.

The application was rejected on the ground that "Bank statement Transaction lacks credibility" .

What could have went wrong with this application and what can one do in the future to avoid this?

Thanks guys and complement of the season to evryone.

Good day everyone,
I recently received an ITA with the Nov 25 draw with a score of 470. I am planning use a Fixed Deposit certificate as my proof of fund. The account i want to use is a newly opened account.
My worries which i need some answers/suggestions to are;
1) Can someone use Fixed deposit certificates as POF ? If yes, the fixed deposit should be of what duration? will one year FD be acceptable?
2) Will the fact that the account is a new account have any impact on the credibility of the Proof of fund and the application as whole?
3) Apart from the FD certificate, do I require additional letter from the bank ? or is the Fixed Deposit certificate alone sufficient to be used as POF?

Will be looking forward to all my questions being answered by the geniuses in the house.

Complement of the season to everyone.

Just to clear some air around ESCA, the new procedure is you take all documents you intend applying with to an organ in Centurion, for verification and validation. There a slip will be given to you which you will come along with to their office at Bruma Lake, Johannesburg. When I did mine this procedure wasn't in place then but now due to forgery of certificate the process has been intensified.
On the other hand, don't always expect to get a candidate engineer even if you hold a B. Eng. You might be called for interview, I was called, terrible because they were asking me to write some equations which I can't even remember the sequence of the formula but explained what it was used for. At the end I was offered a candidate Technician. I decline it and asked them to review their decision which the process is currently ongoing. I hope is comes out as what I wanted, not looking for a job though just wanted the right recognition.
So how did it turn out bro?

With regards to critical skills, if you obtained your first degree from a Nigerian University not on the Washington accord, be prepared for and interview. I was interviewed but to be honest I can't give an accurate answer of all they were asking because I have forgotten many of them, like writing formula of a topic I did in third year. Also asking how many lecturer in the department, equipment we have and all sort. Defended my B. ENG project before the three white guys. And that was in December. Up till now I haven't gotten any feedback from them. Moving forward, with regards to critical skills, you still need a letter from a recognised body here in South Africa that your have worked for five years, which ECSA won't write for you. So before you submit ensure you have all documents as required. A friend did submit with all documents except the letter stating he had over five years experience which is deemed critical despite presenting ECSA candidate engineer certificate and a mail stating that he can apply for professional if he so which. His application was denied but with a condition to appeal if he can provide the said letter. The question is who will write that letter?
Hi bro, av u now heard from ECSA after d long wait. Hope u were registered finally. Am asking ds cos I did my interview yesterday but couldn't ans some of their questions correctly too. Just a bit worried. Can't dey deny sumone registration base on dat?.

Hi guys, please can anyone help me on dis one. I just had my interview today with ECSA for certificate evaluation, but I think I fumbled cos most of the questions they asked me I couldn't ans dem correctly cos av already forgotten most of dem, defending my final project I think I did well in dat dou dey didnt ask too much questions on it. My question is dat hope I won't be denied registration based on dat? And how long dos it take before they get back to u after d interview. Please anyone dat is registered with ECSA should help out on ds.
