One of my embryo was Mosaic & after my pregnancy turned out negative, the IVF Dr advised me to have the mosaic implanted. The chances of miscarrying the mosaic embryo Is higher but it’s almost a normal embryo (from the genetic counseling I got). I declined cos I wanted the Dr to do more egg retrieval before I can just settle.

Imagine how cheap IVF is in Nigeria. We paid $33,000 in the US. PGT test on the embryo was $6,000. They only test 4 embryos with that $6,000 paid not like if u have 10 embryos, 6k covers it. Total is almost $40,000.

I’d tell anyone that wants to do IVF to just come to Nigeria & save money. 750,000 Naira is like $1000. Imagine!!

And these American drs are not as good as our Naija drs. From what I’ve read on this page, Nigerian drs know their drill. I will leave my IVF experience story for another day.

The fact remains that it’s cheaper in Nigeria than other places. What’s cheap to someone is expensive to someone else. Generally, IVF in Nigeria is considered cheaper, even japa people come back to do it here. Y’all should stop roasting her. It is cheap.

Well, my own personal experience is that we dated for 11 years, married for 2 years now, both AS and we don’t even talk about having kids 😂 she’s a wonderful person, I don’t think I can be with anyone else. So I’ll advice you go for the person you believe in, life is a risk, there are no guarantees. I wish you luck.

So back to the matter, from a medical point of view I would advise you to do selective IVF, the good think about this is, this procedures are available in Nigeria and far cheaper than Canada, meaning you could marry your girl and try the IVF here in Nigeria.


Also the first options are very very possible and you both can exploit it.

In summary, if you see her as a wife you want don't allow genotype dissolve it.

Let me ask this, what if both of you were AA and after marriage she was unable to get pregnant will you not opt for IVF?

Most of the people running from the IVF will still end up doing it even if they marry AA. Nigerians have a wrecked mentality towards issues like this. PGT that is being done randomly abroad to check for genetic disorders and choose gender.
