Chijudy1: Exactly, that was what I suppose but I couldn't secure acceptance in any school for the kid. So I used both my own institution DLI, address and name in place of the child.Then other details of the child can fit in. With this the forms can be fill successfully.. All the best. |

tnex: The visiting or open work both depends on the PA's study visa for a continued stay. As long as the PA is still having valid study visa,then maybe PGWP after study any dependants ( be it open work or study or visit) don't have issues before ultimately applying for PR. tnex: Any child above 5years can start a school and would require a study visa to come while below five is pre school or creche and requires a visiting or travel visa. I actually filled study visa forms for the two of them but at VFS in Lagos we were so advised (Infact they didnt collect the study visa form for the age below five) so we had to fill another form for travel visa (TRV) for the child as against study permit. 1 Like |

Thank you everyone. Documents Submitted: All Ircc required forms Passport and Visa copy for me. SOP Stating why she needs to be with me in Canada for moral support towards my studies. I stated the purpose which is to go along with me,highlighted financial part ,home ties using our parents and properties. I actually applied for them 2 weeks after I got my study visa while still in Nigeria,so I wrote the letter in anticipation of approval so we could go together cos I have seen it happening here before,so we had to make it so persuasive kind of. My admission letter,scholarship offer from my university in Canada. My employment letters,certificates etc The SOA used for mine which covers their living expenses for a year like 4k for wifey and 3k each for kids since the scholarship already covers my own expenses. These comprises of fixed deposit funds and current account balances in my account. We did not submit police report even during my own study visa as well. We did not also submit any family pics of us together cos I heard vfs dont take pics sometimes ago but don't know how true that is. I would have love to add some to prove relationship had it been we use Online application but we did paper. I could not also secure admission for my son for school in Canada (Above 5 years) while in Nigeria cos they are asking for lease/rental agreement and I am yet to even travel then. For the child that is less than 5 years,we applied for visiting visa while wife is SOWP Spouse documents: Employment letter,work ID and training certifications and School certificates Statement of account,just to show she is earning salary not necessarily with any significant closing balance Marriage cert,birth cert for her and children Change of name affidavit and newspaper publication I think its just the basic documents. Then we trust God for grace and the application was progressing well from eligibility review,medical request(They did not do upfront medical),medical passed,bvl and approval exactly 2 days plus the 14 weeks processing time when we applied in July 26th 2019. Hello everyone, Words of encouragement for all hopefuls.. Don't give up yet please. I never did, though very very though. I was in such situation before, denied first time,second time and got approved third attempt. No one would imaging what I went through in these periods of my life! Interestingly, in those two denials I never knew what God has in plan for me fully. It was at the third attempt that the funding and scholarship opportunities came,which I never explored before or rather gave up quickly. I landed in Ontario on Sunday,got my study permit at the POE before leaving for Winnipeg and its been all good and interesting. Even met my supervisor yestaday in U of M and the new journey has just begun with lots of joy and excitement. This is someone that has never traveled before, you know! My encouragement is this,don't give up,send those mails,follow up with calls if necessary to prospective supervisors, be diligent in using Google to know useful information relevant to your course, for those that needed to defer admission and order GCMS note, do so,read previous threads to observe and master relevant pattern from CIC that may be useful in terms of timing,above all be prayerful and tell God,yes He knows it all. God knows every details about our lives and circumstances! This forum largely helped my pursuit and so I felt I should say this in my own little way, giving the recent rate of denials. Program: MSc Biosystem Engineering, University Of Manitoba(Fall,2019) This is my 3rd Application after 2 previous refusals and I have been a silent reader on this forum: Application timeline Route – Paper, processed in Nairobi Kenya Applied 15th May 2019 Biometrics not required as the previous one is valid. I was able to link it online on the 26th May and then Background check already running. Eligibility review 12th June Medical Request 14th June Medical Done 17th June at IOM Ikeja Medical Passed 20th June BVL-July 9th Approval- July 10th Then I got a text message late evening on Thursday 11th July from VFS Lagos that Passport is ready for pick up. Passport pick up 12th July 2019(Within 2mins at VFS counter in Lekki, which was the fastest of all the waiting process from the beginning of the application) Documents submitted: Academic Qualification B.Eng Degree in Agricultural Engineering Msc Admission letter Transcript from the University CV O Level Cert Proof of Financial Support Personal statement of account comprising current account balance of N3M and Fixed deposit of N3M Reference Letter from the Bank to support SOA Letter of Sponsorship as Postgraduate research assistant with funding of CAD18,000 for each year of my study. Tuition is CAD12, 400 but also got an IGSES Scholarship of CAD5, 400 which is usually applied on the Tuition to effectively reduce it to CAD7, 000 Other documents IMM Forms Passport photo Police Clearance Certificate was submitted during the first application so didn’t bother doing it again. NYSC certificate A work ID, Promotion letters and introduction letter from work Landed property with Survey and Deed Of Assignment Marriage cert and kids birth cert Wife's passport biodata page SOP and LOE address previous refusals in details A few of my success stories and testimonies: I first applied for a study visa to Canada in April 2018 and was refused June same year with Purpose of Visit. Second Application was in Feb 2019 and was refused the same month with Purpose of visit and travel history. In both cases, I used the services of an agent and I applied with the M.eng (One year course based) admission letter Shortly before my second application, I contacted Frankrobbn to assist proofread my SOP. Despite his kind assistance then with every effort put in place, I was still delayed. Then after my second refusal, I contacted Bracha who encouraged me not to give up and assisted with part of my SOP correction. Sometimes in Jan this year, I had thought of switching from the Meng to Msc but getting supervisor was the issue. After a series of emails with usual "no funding, no space" responses, God finally came through for me and that marks the turning point in my Canada journey. I got a Prof willing to supervise me and provided the Stipend that fully covers my study around April and then I decided to reapply for the 3rd time in May 2019. This time around,Qudkom came to my rescue. We talk extensively, exchange emails and I had to even travel to a neighboring city to meet this wonderful and kind guy that I didn't know from anywhere just to ensure I get it right this time. Anyway, no more agent as I am prepared to take all the advice of the gurus to do it by myself. Few days to my submission date, I had to literally go through all of Franks past post to ensure all my T's have been crossed and I's dotted. My special appreciation thus goes to Frankrobbn, Bracha and Qudkom who positively influenced my application in a way or the other Every other guru: Makano, Justmellow and so many Monikers I may not mention. God bless your selfless efforts on this thread. I need to also mention that I am advanced in age and I have never traveled outside Nigeria before and I also graduated university in 2006 with about 11 years working experience. Married with 2 kids but I decided to apply alone first. This is to encourage someone not to really give up. Nevertheless all human efforts, IT IS NOT OF HIM THAT WILLS, NOR OF HIM WHO RUNS, BUT OF GOD WHO SHOWS MERCY....
