HOW many MEN DId DAVID TOOK FROM NABAL?

2 Samuel 8:4
And David took from him a thousand
chariots, and seven hundred
horsemen, and twenty thousand
footmen: and David houghed all the
chariot horses, but reserved of them
for an hundred chariots.
1 Chronicles 18:4
And David took from him a thousand
chariots, and seven thousand
horsemen, and twenty thousand
footmen: David also houghed all the
chariot horses, but reserved of them
an hundred chariots.
Except for a couple of point mutations
(copying errors seem the most likely by
far), they are close to identical. It’s hard
to believe they were independently
written as opposed to one being
copied from the other, or both from a
third source. Nonetheless, let’s
consider your explanation that “If
David took 7000 horsemen, he
certainly took 700, and if he took 700,
it doesn’t mean he didn’t take an
additional 6300.” And that, as a result,
no contradiction exists because he
didn’t say “that he took O-N-L-Y 700.”
You seem to be saying that if someone
uses a number in a sentence without
the qualifier “only,” then the number
could mean any amount more or any
amount less. But that would mean that
the number means nothing at all. I can
understand that resolving such a
blatant contradiction requires just such
violence on otherwise plain language,
but consider the logical consequences:
I tell someone I will bring 5 people
with me to a party. When I get there I
have 50 people with me. The host
angrily accuses me of misleading her:
“You said 5!” “Ah,” I point out, “I didn’t
say O-N-L-Y 5. By bringing 50 I certainly
brought 5; and by saying ‘5’ I didn’t
mean I wouldn’t take an additional
45.”
This hardly seems in the spirit of an
inerrant Bible: at best it’s wildly
misleading
1, you cannot increase the ram and hard disk without considering the laptop board and processor. it might not be compactable and you cannot increase the processor without considering the board which means the chances are very thin it will hardly work.. why do you want to increase anyway. i dont think it worth it. replace the key board alone and sell it. to do that cost below 6k. and you buy high upgrade used laptop. you should hold around 60k to 70k or more for good one.
Thanks bro. I wud change the Keyboard. Also where can i get a good keyboard here in nigeria.

2. Are u sure of the price been 6K? I asked at one of the store and i was told 17K. Though i doubt the guy. Cuz hez an igbo guy.

Note its a Compaq laptop

Take a look at SHERATON in Nigeria

Politics › Nigerian Architects and their lack of creativity - Sheraton In CHINA by Ymodulus(op):
For a long time i have held to my stand that architects in Nigeria are not creative. On-like their counterparts in other part of the world.

At times when i look at the so called Nigerian mansion. i have nothing to say than too laugh at my fellow Nigerians. come see what you get in other part of the world.

In Nigeria the best designed house you see are those with concrete facial, and the normal POP.
In-fact POP has been BASTARDIZED in this country that it has lost it value. ---e.gLinda Ikeji recently put up some pictures on P SQUARE so called ongoing MANSION in lekki. i Was surprised with the praises linda showered on the houses. i couldn't wait further but to read the article my heart dying to get a view of the building. only for me to see POP BASTARDIZED BUILDING. I expected Linda with her exposure in New York to know what better houses are. * back to my writing

Nigerian Architects still give designs of 1998. In school i do blame my fellow architecture colleague in the environmental faculty but i found out that their lecturers where to blame as any building that is not square in shape would be taken as a stupid work, and i understand everybody wants to pass in the uni.

But looking at the architects who are now graduates i expected them to now put in that creativity since they are no longer within the four walls of the university as passing exams is not of utmost priority but truth be told i still don't see them doing this.

I believe in the usual saying Old habits Die hard.
Cant NUC/ASUU/ NAAS or any body responsible tackle the issue of course outline in Nigerian universities especially wit respect to architecture?? believe me am loosing it. !!!!!!!

Its not only about allowances

Take a look at this.

Christianity Etc › Religion Does Not Instill Morality. --- Christopher Hitchens. by Ymodulus(op): 5:18pm On Aug 19, 2013
"We keep on being told that religion, whatever its imperfections, at least instills morality. On every side, there is conclusive evidence that the contrary is the case and that faith causes people to be more mean, more selfish, and perhaps above all, more stupid.” - Christopher Hitchens

I love this piece.

The most potent study that highlights this for me is a study done by psychologist George Tamarin: He presented Joshua 6:20-21 to 1,066 school children, ages 8-14, in order to test "the effect of uncritical teaching of the Bible on the propensity for forming prejudices (particularly the notion of the 'chosen people,' the superiority of the monotheistic religion, and the study of acts of genocide by biblical heroes)." The children's answers to the question "Do you think

Joshua and the Israelites acted rightly or not?," were categorized as follows: "'A' means total approval, 'B' means partial approval or disapproval, and 'C' means total disapproval." Across a broad spectrum of Israeli social and economic classes, 66% chose "A," 8% "B," and 26% "C."

In contrast to the established difference between boys and girls in propensity toward violence and approval of violence in general, with regard to biblically commanded genocide Tamarin found that "Contrary to our expectation, there was no difference, concerning this most cruel form of prejudice, between male and female examinees".

As a control group, Tamarin tested 168 children who were read Joshua 6:20-21 with "General Lin" substituted for Joshua and a "Chinese Kingdom 3000 years ago" substituted for Israel. General Lin got a 7% approval rating, with 18% giving partial approval or disapproval, and 75% disapproving totally.

megaplaza: Recursion over Iterationhuh? It depends on the use case. Write a recursive factorial function that calculates factorial of say 1billion or 500million and lets see if you wont have stack overflow error. Recursion is not memory friendly and once you have a problem that involves recursive calls that runs into thousands you are bound to have a problem.
running such on your browser with a mistake will lead to a prob? I dont get where u coming from. However i love Iteration better.
