What is the right way? Someone might find it useful
first focus on developing the soft skills and hand skills together, project yourself publicly, create demos even if you don't have a job, write about your skills development process make it trackable with your pictures and evidences, study potential employers and carefully curate weekly content that will get their attention, build a highly compelling portfolio and then shoot your shorts, you can start with volunteering. Check out for industry events online and offline and attend.

The noise about tech got into my head and I quit my 8-5 job. Though the 8-5 job was becoming stressful and toxic, I couldn't cope and had to leave.

I had saved some funds and learned data analytics. Now here is where the issue lies.

I've applied to more than a thousand jobs and I keep getting rejections.

My hope was to get a remote job but I'm not seeing it coming.

Is tech all about noise or it's just saturated?

While learning , we were told a data analyst earns 30k USD annually. I'm just getting tired and frustrated
they are not hard you are going about it the wrong way
Politics7 Things Many Don’t Know About Cocoa House And Chief Obafemi Awolowo by Ynix(op): 2:24pm On Feb 14, 2025
Most Nigerians have heard of Cocoa House in Ibadan, but do you really know its history? This iconic building is more than just an old skyscraper—it’s a symbol of vision, leadership, and the power of agriculture. And of course, behind it all was Chief Obafemi Awolowo, one of Nigeria’s greatest leaders. Here are seven things you probably didn’t know:

1. It Was the First Skyscraper in West Africa
Completed in 1965, Cocoa House was the tallest building in West Africa at the time. Standing at 105 meters, it was a big deal in an era when even some European countries didn’t have many skyscrapers.

2. No Loans, No Foreign Aid—Just Cocoa Money
Unlike today, where governments take endless loans for every little project, Cocoa House was built entirely from cocoa money. The Western Region under Awolowo made smart investments in agriculture, and the profits were used to develop infrastructure. Imagine if our leaders still did this today!

3. Awolowo Was a Master Planner
Chief Awolowo didn’t just talk—he planned and executed. As Premier of the Western Region (19521959), he focused on selfsufficiency. Cocoa was booming, and instead of wasting the money, he used it to build roads, schools, and industries. Cocoa House was just one of his many achievements.

4. It Was the Tallest Building in Nigeria for Years
Before Lagos started building its modern skyline, Cocoa House was Nigeria’s pride. It remained the tallest building in the country for years and is still one of the most recognizable landmarks in Ibadan today.

5. It Survived a Major Fire in 1985
In 1985, a fire gutted the building, and many thought that was the end of Cocoa House. But it was later rebuilt and is still standing strong today. That’s resilience!

6. Awolowo Never Became President, But His Legacy Lives On
Despite being one of Nigeria’s most brilliant leaders, Chief Awolowo never made it to the presidency. But his contributions—free education, modern governance, and economic planning—continue to inspire. Many believe Nigeria would have been much better if he had ruled the country. What do you think?

7. Cocoa House Still Stands as a Lesson for Nigeria
Cocoa House is proof that Nigeria can succeed without oil money. The Western Region thrived on agriculture and smart policies. If our leaders today had the same vision, imagine how developed we would be!

Cocoa House and Chief Awolowo’s legacy show us that with good leadership and proper planning, Nigeria can achieve greatness. But are we learning from history? Let’s talk—what are your thoughts on Awolowo’s legacy and what it means for Nigeria today?

Cocoa House... That is a symbol of what I call cocoa house sickness...its my economy theory of what is wrong with Nigeria

Cocoa house sickness - when a country or state use huge chunk of money to build feel good or legacy project that is not economically viable just to show off

Especially when their re other economic pressing issues... And most times it's done with borrowed money
sincerely you no get sense, do you know why it is called COCOA HOUSE, because it was revenues from Cocoa that Awolowo Government built it with, meanwhile majority of other projects were built from borrowing from World Bank, IMF among others e.g Kainji Dam, National Assembly, Federal Secretariat among Phase 1 to 4 others, our roads etc. But Awolowo buile OAU, Stadium, setup many industries that has packed up because of mismanagement and bad leadership even the then roads with proceeds from Cocoa

Nice one but why can't yoruba muslims fill the gap and create their own sultan in yorubaland instead of following the directives of the sultan of sokoto who only sees yoruba muslims as conquered slaves who are not even allowed to lead prayers in any mosque where the fulanis also worships?

Just imagine Elon Musk playing with our intelligence:

"Musk’s attorney, Marc Toberoff, confirmed that the bid—backed by Musk’s AI startup, xAI, and a consortium of investment firms—aimed to take control of OpenAI and reinstate its founding commitment to serving the public good rather than operating as a for-profit enterprise."

Someone that turned a Twitter that was serving the public good into a for-profit enterprise is now saying he wants to turn an OpenAI from a for-profit enterprise into serving the public good.

ELON MUSK IS A CON MAN, DON'T SELL TO HIM.

Elon Musk is only good at acquiring already established businesses to boost his fortune, the only business he started from scratch TESLA electric cars is currently doing poorly. Elon Musk ain't a selfmade billionaire abeg, He is just an opportunist.

Yoruba calls it Imole meaning dangerous teaching, then they planned how to harness opportunities from it without having anything to do with the dangerous sides. When it comes to wisdom give it to Yorubas

The muslims won't tolerate Christian courts or traditional courts around them, so why should people of other faiths tolerate islamic sharia courts?.

I like the way Yorubas have put sentiments aside and how Christians, muslims and traditionalists have all come together to reject the sharia nonsense on Yoruba soil.. ordinarily Yorubas should not be taking orders from a Fulani Sultan, it's like that act is making Fulanis see themselves as overlords of all muslims in Nigeria.
We love ourselves irrespective of religion.. I don't want to see a situation where Yorubas will start turning to extremism, killing their brothers and sisters over what some mad imams preach and say in mosques or in sharia panels
If you read the deep history of Fulani, the main goal is conquer, divide and rule just like what vikings did in Europe. Their goal is to claim power, just like every Arabs, religion is just a means towards achieving that
