rawpadgin:Like every other loan process, though they prefer applicants with businesses that makes daily revenue. You just apply through their loan application website. If approved, the loan is disbursed instantly. After that just go to any branch near you for documentation. |
rawpadgin:Very annoying bunch! Had my account with GTB for more than 12yrs, but won't approve a small loan of 300k, requesting a salary account like its everyone that is a salary earner. I applied to Sterling Bank and was approved within 24hrs. I moved all my transactions over there, no need maintaining an account with a bank that can't offer me small loan facility when I need it. |
1stbest:With the recently policy of the CBN forcing them to lend, a lot of them have started giving out. You just have to call or mail your bank to find out if they have any such facility. |
It's no news that most Nigerian banks are not very supportive of small and individual businesses. While they claim to have products for SMSE, the conditions to access them are usually not so straight forward. The truth is, there are a lot of young Nigerians with legit small businesses who just need small loans say 300k-500k to manage and grow their businesses. Young people who have no parents, family members or friends to raise them the needed funds to just keep their businesses running. Youths who believe in legit hustle, who have made up their mind to stick with genuine business than get involved in unwholesome activities. One would think the Nigerian banks would be more youth friendly considering the very high unemployment rate in the country. Our banks can certainly and should do better. I recently received a personal loan offer from one of them, not even my main bank I should say. So, which bank offers the most friendly personal and small business loans? Have you gotten any loans recently? Pls share your experiences. |

Tiffbuxas: Tbh I need another job.... I'm thinking of starting dis POS mobile banking stuff buh I really dunno how to go abt it Walk into the nearest First bank to you, talk to a marketing executive, express your interest to run the business. They will sign you up for FirstMonie and give you target of 60 transactions per week. If you meet up consistently for 2-3 weeks they'll give you a POS terminal. Hope this helps. |

Sorry I didn't see your comment sooner. What you need to consider to get started is; 1. Get a good location. An environment that is busy, with good economic activities. Preferably somewhere not to close to a bank. You can start with an App POS, because getting a physical POS machine usually takes some time to process. You can install Kudi Bolt from Playstore. Sign up and you're good to go. After that you can then go to the nearest first bank or any other banks to you and request to speaker their marketing staff. Just tell the person you want to apply for POS. There's also the option of buying POS too. Usually cost between 75k-95k depending on the company you're buying from. I hope this helps. Ifeconwaba: |
The way the US is going, this might just lead to WWW III because Russia and China won't just sit idle and allow the US destroy all their investments in Venezuela. And those saying Russia can't stop US, they stopped the US from toppling Syrian President, so they can stop the US again. |
This is a coup through back door. The Venezuelan President was duly elected by its people. America does not care about Venezuelans, they are only after installing a President they can control so they can access their crude oil. Venezuela has the highest proven crude oil reserve on the planet, more than even Saudi Arabia. All they want is to install a puppet régime. If you know you know. |
For real bro? Pls how did you go about it? Leonardoreel: |
Lol |
But this is Nigeria |
joyousever:Of course not, you can. I only related my own experience. The 250k he has is very sufficient to run the business. The key is a good location. |
Here's my own 2kobo advice; Start Agency Banking Business. I'll share my own story to help you get a better idea. I schooled in Delta and served in Kwara. After service I simply stayed behind cos I knew I had nothing to go back to in Delta. My PPA then happened to be so far from main town, with transportation cost averagely about #700 to and from from the town. So, I saw the opportunity in this, which was; 1. No banks in my PPA community. 2. Tfare to and fro from the nearest bank in town is about 700h 3. Good power supply in the community 4. Free accommodation as per I was a good Corper during my service year so I had good relationship with the school I served and the indigenes. Hence, I rented a shop. 1,500h per month, bought 3 plastic chairs, printed 2 banners and with my Android phone I was in business. Next I registered as an Agent with several agency banking companies, installed their App and started doing Cash Withdrawals/Deposits/Transfers, Dstv sub payments, Airtime sales, NEPA prepaid payments. I don't even have POS machine yet oo, just using my Android phone for now. In all I spent about 30k to setup, and with savings of 400k, I had enough cash for those coming to withdraw. Right now I make about 3k daily from service charges and I work even on Sundays. I hope this helps. It's 3:30a.m here so its back to bed now. I'll be happy to answer any questions you might have. |
