onegentleguy: FDA commissioner, Steven Hahn minutes after President Trumps remark on the use of CHLOROQUINE as a panacea to COVID-19...
“Again, we want to do that in a setting of a clinical trial,”
...but Doctors in the U.S. are allowed to prescribe drugs for uses that haven’t been approved by the FDA, in what’s called off-label use.
On REMDESIVIR, an experimental drug from GILEAD SCIENCES, INC. President Trump said...
REMDESIVIR is “essentially approved.” Trump didn’t elaborate on what that meant. Hahn said afterward that the FDA has a responsibility to make sure drugs are safe, and work, even as it loosens regulation.
Hahn said that issues like dosing would matter, given that the disease are different.
...a brief;
GILEAD SCIENCES, INC(a coy quoted on NASDAQ) immediately pushed up in price. ...the stock is already up 2.81% currently trading @ $85.65 (a friend bought back then @ less $52) It may likely run up fast post global approval, so watch that space !!
Another is OWENS & MINOR, INC( a global healthcare solutions company, that's also quoted on NASDAQ). ...the coy was amongst 2 of those contracted to supply med equipment(including facial mask) to hospitals and care centres in the US, accross Europe and Asia. Saw this back then @ <$4/share. ...its currently trading for $6.80, up near 13% today. ...has the potential to rally a bit more. Also watch this !!
I also like ABBVIE, INC... yet another quoted coy on the NASDAQ.

Chibuking81: It will still go down, there is no remedy news for now, but crude oil war still ongoing. Until OPEC (Saudi Arabia) and Russia agreed to come back to round table and discuss of oil cut, the worse days are still ahead.
As for now, show of power and strength is still ongoing, Saudis are pumping more to flood the oil market, and other oil countries are doing likewise, but wishes that meeting should convey to address the issue. . How much is nigeria even capable of pumping? For a decade now they are yet to cross 2million barrels per day. Too poor |

Folks should know, all these events of last two weeks are largely based on factors that will settle themselves eventually - Convid-19 will be eliminated, OPEC+ will resolve their output issues etc. If all these events are a result of credit crisis, bank liquidity crunch, structural weaknesses (secular trend, peak demand, disruptive technologies etc), then I would be worried, but neither one is the case o! The world isn't coming to an end, but one thing for sure, new billionaires are springing up from all these, once over.... Nuff said! but what is happening now can trigger any of those maladies |

You reduce the impact of the virus by holding it down where you notice it. That way it either dies with the people or people's immune system resist it.
China has reduced. SOUTH Korea has reduced. I believe Iran should be redu
It is US and EU we are waiting for.
It is the economic impact that we are waiting for. The EU was already going into recession even without the virus. So that same medicine that they would have used then, they will triple it and supply to prevent a recession or reduce the effect.
Now it is the contrarian approach we are apply. gadam it! U know I have not been following the news. They have reduced from 2b to how many? |
