Though the possibilities are that you may score higher or lower if you rewrite
If the later repeat itself, that will be a waste of time and most importantly MONEY.

My best advice is to allow your wife take the IELTS exam as she doesn't need to score that high to fetch you your extra 5 marks.

That was what happened in my own case. My documents were received on 27th sept. and got evaluation completed email on the 1st october

damkollins: You should get your ECA completed latest middle of the month from experience...Congrats.
Get an affidavit to explain the closure of the bank...in the same affidavit,state your job descriptions,annual salary,entry and exit dates,working hours e.t.c
get supporting documents like employment letter,promotion letter,payslips and any documents that can link you with the company....and submit them with your package.
Also,write a cover letter to support your claim.
You will be fine with these.

damkollins: The verification request is a standard procedure been carried out.I wouldn't know why your school will ask such payment for verification request response.
Nigerian school?
They are not suppose to ask....all they need do is just to respond to the request from WES.
For me and most applicants that I know,no fee was charged.

damkollins: It depends on the verification request response by your school which is where you still have a role to play.As soon as your transcripts and degree photocopies gets to WES,they will evaluate it and send a verification request to your academic institution....If they are the responsive type...Good for you.If they are not the responsive type,you need to help them.
WES normally send the request to them by email,regular post mail and fax...and most time,these mediums are not well checked by Nigerian school so you need to tell your school that a verification request has been sent to them(WES will notify you once this request has been sent.
This exercise can take between 2 weeks and 12 weeks depending on your school's response.
a big role for you....try to silently follow up.

Be rest assured that WES have an established contact medium for your school....email or post office box address to your school depending on previous dealings with your school .You can personally contact WES to use courier to send the verification request to your school but the cost of the courier service will be on you.
