GamingRe: Is Video Game Business Illegal In Nigeria? by yomickey(m): 2:25pm On Sep 08, 2011
I have operated a game lounge before and it was always very peaceful.

Never had the parents or police come interfere with our business.

I operated a no uniform setting.

It is a very rewarding business and I suggest you register your company and ensure you have your rules boldl written around the lounge.

I stopped mine when I got a job and found out people were stealing money from me. I lost the passion but will hope to revive it again soon.

I wish you success.

y are men always dramatic when it is a lady that is asking, ?
Because it is scary and we are not wired for such forceful approaches from ladies especially when curses and the likes are involved.

poster u have obviously dated this lady for sometime, it isnt like she kidnapped u and perhaps u knew what she craved for not "demanded" from the onset and obviously pretended you could give in, now u come painting her bad, that isnt fair man, man up your responsibilities. if she has given so much to "u" then crown it all by standing by her till die.
To stand by her is not the issue but there is always an underlying fator when an older lady wants you to marry her by fire by force. Be very careul mate, people in your shoes no dey find am easy at the end of the day.

if i was luck to find a lady 2-5 older than me when i was almost ready and she wasnt going to be liability financially, emotionally and physically i'll stroll down the alter happily.
Guy, leave story now.

Now I can understand your case much better. All well and said, all the best with your studies in the UK.

With kind regards.
Thanks Pataki,
Hope we get to chat or talk more later as we might be able to learn one or two things from one another.
Cheers.

Good for you. Are your sponsors in the UK or Nigeria? You are talking based on your own personal conviction. I am talking based on what I have seen over time. Both are mutually exclusive.
@Pataki,
I am just sharing a personal experience and what I have also seen over time. It does not mean that it will work for him but I am just pointing him to the option that worked for me. It is left for him to look at all points and decide which is best suited for his ownn kind of case.
My sponsor is in 9ja.

MJ2008,
It is best your sister attends the hearing when your case finally comes up. Appeals based on oral hearing have more better outcomes than paper hearing.

I wish you all the best as you patiently fight for your visa.
The appeal has nothing to do with whosoever is there. Ensure that your appeal is strongly worded and that you pass across your sincere feeling concerning the ECO's decision. Make sure you put all back up documents and enough evidence to justify that you have been wrongly judged.
Pray and hope for the best.
I wrote my appeal myself without an immigration lawyer, without anybody representing me, I won the appeal and I just collected my passport and visa yesterday.
All the best man.

hello everyone, after much connsultation i was told to appeal, i intend sumitting my appeal next week, Two options were given on where to submit the appeal, BHC lagos and directly to the tribunal, which of them would be the best to send my appeal to.

Thanks
Dont even consider submitting it to the BHC Lagos, just send straight to Asylum and Immigration Tribunal, you have limited time to get your appeal and all documents across to them.

Best of luck in your appeal.

Hmm. Your eyes did not see where I wrote Anyways you can't track an appeal status which was the answer to his question.
Hi all,
You can track your appeal process as long as you have the reference number, just call AIT and give them all required details, they will in turn give you the status of your appeal.
Cheers.

Hi Guys, I'm wondering if any of you could help, I applied for a visitors visa for my mum and younger brother last year and it got refused on the ground that my mum didn't have any proof to support her income, we sent the appeal form and the necessary paperwork back with a friend who assured us he submitted it, Its been more than a year now and we haven't heard anything back and all my efforts to contact the high commission in Abuja has been fruitless, The guy didn't come back with any paperwork as proof of submitting appeal, are u supposed to get an appeal number or a reference, I'm completely lost here and can't really reapply because i don't know if there's still an existing appeal going on. Thanks

Tara
@Tara,
A letter is supposed to have been sent to you detailing the name of appealant and the Reference No with which all correspondence between you and the Asylum and Immigration tribunal (AIT) will be done. Without the reference number, you can basically do nothing.
I don't think the said person has sent anything to them or maybe the address he gave in his letter is an address you donot have access to, find him and have him divulge all details to about the appeal to you. Also beg him to be truthful so you can approach this matter appropriately.
All the best.

The Entry Clearance Officer (ECO) had made unsubstantiated claims in his refusal.
So a petition might just be the turning point before appeal.
@dareno,
Remember that there is a time limit to appealing the ECO's decision and as such writing a petition and waiting for their reply will definitely have jeopardize your chances of writing your appeal.
Personally, I advice you get your documents together and write a very strong appeal.
Cheers.

If you have some schools that offer free tuition please kindly forward to me.

Try www.hse.fi/EN since you want to do your Master's in Business Administration. Remember that it is free tuition and as a result getting admission is very competitive. I wish you the very best. Let me know of the outcome.

If you were given an appeal based on irregular signature, i think you can appeal if your Sponsor is truly the owner of the account.

Your sponsor might just have to regularise his signatures.

The best way to make this faster is for you to send a number of mails to your advisor and they will tell you what you are suppossed to do and again if you had sent your transcript to them, make sure you contact your department to ensure that your transcript has been sent, otherwise you will not hear anything from them.for more info, call 08028359239.
Thanks for your reply.
I have gone to my school and I was told that they will be required to send verification for the transcript sent.
I am working hard so that the school can send the verification as soon as possible.

Best of luck to myself and others in my shoes.

hello every one.
DO i need to book an appiontment online before sumission of my uk student visa application? at lagos ikeja center? or i should just go there very early any day of my choice,

please help me answer if u just applied. thnks
It is better for you to book appointment at www.ukvac-ng.com before you go to submit.
I did for my sister at the VAC in Zenon House and submission was easy, if you did not book online before going, you will have to wait for those that book online to submit first before you can do yours.
I prefer you go to the one on the island as I hear the Ikeja is always so packed full of people and they are not organized.

All the best.

sholasys:
Frenchman, Let me give you a practical example. My immediate boss is a certified IT guy and major in security. He was employed from USA, Texas. He is a Nigerian. He has live in USA for 28yrs. He came back to work in an oil and gas company. He earns $4k per month. With Toyota corola official car etc. After six month he bought a 2bed room flat in Lagos. He was doing fine in USA but owns no property, he jst spend six month in Nig and he is making it. So It depends on the company and their pay. If you can get a job in Telecom, Bank, oil and gas, ICT Consultancy, manufacturing companies then i can advice you to come back and stop waisting your time in UK. I hv seen a senior lecturer II, PHD in Geologist that spend 10yr in Norway working came back to Nigeria to work as Geologist Officer in Exxon Mobil. Oboy he is rich. He collects $1000 per day on the rig. So get a Good Job first before coming.
I second sholasys strongly.

Like I said, I don't REALLY want to come back because though tax is high here, but opportunities are endless. I am being put under pressure by friends and relatives to consider taking a job back home, especially my parents who are in Nigeria.
Dont be daunted by what people say, if you have got the right experience and expertise, you can sure make it real good here.
All I will advice is for you to look for the job from UK, strike the deal and if favourable, come alone to check out the job for like six months, if you find the job and environment encouraging, then you can consider bringing home your wife and kids.

I work in the IT industry and I can say that, time and chance is all that matters in life. It is not all that rosy in the UK too and you can confirm that.

Try Telecommunications or Oil and Gas firms or Management positions in the Banking or other sector, you would haave weighed you options before coming home.

Last and the main issue- "Man, follow your heart and not what people want for you."

All the best man.
