Stark22: I don't know where to begin but post this with a sad heart. Before I started my course, I had this feeling that I wasn't meant to be in that department. I was encouraged by friends and family members to continue that I'll have interest later on. My results kept on getting bad but instead of it motivating me to work harder, it changed me entirely and I am doubting myself cos I know how good I was compared to what I keep seeing on my results.
Does fate really prevent progress or what?
300 level sitting on 1.1 something and I don't expect it to improve cos I think my mindset is really affecting it; meaning no matter the amount of reading I do, it won't really work.
I thought a lot of guys and they're doing pretty well, don't know what's wrong.
it's appalling when people who look up to you are doing better than you.
What if I switched departments back then? I believe things wouldn't have gotten to this stage.
I just need counselling from you guys.
it's really serious and I'm sad.
Even people who used me to brag back then would be shocked to find out about my current situation. You don't know how to write Nigerian exams It's very common Don't be dismayed |

brainpower: Though people will call my comment hating but still I'll say it. We know her wealth came when the oil well was given back to her and so far we have not heard or seen any major enterprise or investment she's done to prove that she's actually a "business mogul". It's either she doesn't have good business minds around her or she's keeping it quiet. Either way, I wish her goodluck and hope she does something good with the money she's getting now. My reason for this is, what if the oil well is taken from her now and awarded to someone else. Has she invested enough to make sure it doesn't affect her badly in her finances? Based on stories we have heard, seems all she did to get the oil well was knowing IBB's wife. I appreciate your objectivity and succinct nature But she is a business mogul She didn't lease her oml out Rather she invited expats to develop and staff FAMFA but kudos to her for knowing the right people |
Politics › Re: Era Of Free, Easy Money Is Gone For Good – Buhari by youngice(m): 9:21am On Jul 14, 2016 |
blueto: But it has been about 13+ months since you have been elected president and why should you keep blaming the past govt for your present and foreseen failures?
The past govt was already diversifying the economy when the gullible zombies voted you in and you came and obliterated the good efforts by the previous govt.
through the comprehensive Agricultural Transformation Agenda program of the previous govt, they recorded many landmark achievements. Through agriculture they created thousands of jobs across the country. The provision of inputs in 10 Northern states enabled dry season farming; and profitably engaged over 250,000 farmers and youths even during the dry season.
Through the comprehensive Agricultural Transformation Agenda program, inflation fell to 7.8% in October 2013, its lowest since 2008, as a result of higher domestic food production.
they launched the Growth Enhancement Scheme to provide targeted support for seeds and fertilizers to 5 million farmersper year or 20 million farmers within fouryears. Through the scheme, they were providing subsidized inputs to farmers via an e-Wallet program. In fiscal year 2013, an estimated 4.2 million farmers received subsidized inputs. As a result, in 2013, they produced 1.1 million metric tonnes of dry season rice across 10 Northern states; and over 250,000 farmers and youths in these states are now profitably engaged in farming even during the dry season.
they launched Staple Crop Processing Zones to support investments in the entire agricultural value chain. there are significant private investment commitments from agribusiness ventures such as: Flour Mills of Nigeria, the Dangote Group, Syngenta, Indorama, AGCO, and Belstar Capital.
In 2012, 2.2 million metric tonnes of cassava chips were exported, exceedingthe Agricultural Transformation Agenda’s target by over 100%, while the 40% substitution of cassava for wheat has been achieved through research and collaboration with the IITA and Federal Institute for Industrial Research.Similarly, there has been a decline in wheat imports to Nigeria from an all-time high of 4,051,000 MT in 2010 to 3,700,000 MT in 2012.
About 200 women in Benue State were trained on how to make compost for farming and 360 farmers in the same state, were trained on climate change adaptability in agriculture. The environment and farming in Benue state got a boost from about 600 men and women in Benue state who participated in training on how to be environmentally better farmers.
they established community woodlots of 10 hectares each in Plateau and Kogi (10ha) states. they restored 10 hectares of degraded forest in Achareni Forest Reserves in Kogi state and rehabilitated 10 hectares degraded forest reserves in Niger state. the administration also launched Presidential Initiative on Coastal and River Bank protection on flood in Asa River (Kwara State). they established two skill acquisition centresto train people on the fabrication of solar -powered grinding machines in Kaiama and Baruten in Kwara State. and so on!
What policies has Buhari projected to diversify the economy? he is rather depriving private stakeholders of economic policy-making participation and turning Nigeria into a Socialist economy instead of a Mixed economy. Are we in a communist state?. Clapping |

chigoizie7: Do the right thing, obey all the rules and u will never have to bribe them.
I have escaped them many times.
Once they stopped me because of fire extinguisher( I have one, I never knew it was empty, because I have never used it for once, I only removed the pins)
I dragged it with them that I have fire extinguisher, I even brought it out and tried to press it, but nothing came out, the young guy just laughed @ me and showed me the metre like something that has clocked zero. I was made to understand that once the pin is removed, it wouldn't take time the content will evaporate even if I have not used it for once.
My mouth was agap because I was very surprised to learn that. I guess the guy realised that I never really knew it has finished. He allowed me to go and advised me to buy the ones that comes in canisters(spray). When coming back, I bought it, and when I go to their check point, I stopped and showed the guy the new spray. Anytime I pass that very point, I am never stopped by any of them, because d 1st guy made me know many of them. Once I get to their check point, I always slow down to hail them +my sister is a 3star officer. That's all |
