Career › Re: I Asked For My Promotion And I Got A Transfer by Youngzedd(m): 5:06pm On Aug 22, 2016 |
Sllime: Hello nairalanders, i need your suggestions. I work with one of the leading paytelevison companies in Nigeria. I might not be able to mention name for image sake. I got the job few months after my graduation and i can say i put in more than a 100% in the job. I worked with a team of young graduates and our branch recorded the highest decoder sales ever made by the company.
Fast forward to 2016, i reminded my boss that my promotion is due and he pulled the trigger.I arrived work on this faithful day and saw a letter, with joy i opened the letter expecting the obvious. I was shocked to the bone marrow. I have been transferred to the company's worst branch. Infact, the company had considered closing the branch down last year. With anger and frustration, i stormed into my boss office to know why i got a transfer intead of a promotion letter, he told me the comapny has charged me with a responsibility of reviving the branch after a year. If i do this successfully, i will be made the branch manager. Upon enquiry, i realised that the branch manager was sacked due to fund and mismanagement issues. I have accepted the offer but on arrival i realised that the condition was far worse than i anticipated. Therefore i seek advise on the following pressing challenges because i believe when we share ideas, we help each other:
1. How do i improve sales: The sales is so bad that days will pass by and no single decoder sold infact, you can count the number of people who entered the office.
2. Coperation from staff: Unlike the young talented team i worked with, what i have here are unmotivated staffs who believe you cannot tell them anything because they are older than you both inn age and in the business.
Any suggestion will be highly appreciated. Thanks Firstly, tell yourself that you can do it. |

For crying out loud this herdsmen are into their business, why should government use our scarce money to build them up? Is cattles the only agricultural enterprise that demands FG attention?
How many poultry farms have the FG Built for poultry farmers nor fish ponds for fish farmers? This is impunity and corruption in the highest order! |

Kaybaba5: Glo speed depends on your location So 80% of GLO subscribers should move to your location In the year 2014 I use to get more than 1MB per sec here, but now to get 300kb per sec is war. GLO simply sucks. |

dejavubobo1: CBN or no CBN, its a discretionary act, the bank can release ur ATM upon evidence of ownership presented by the customer Bt at an event whr the customer can't provide any, the card ll be destroyed
this is as for bill of exchange, which I believe an ATM also belongs to this class.
Abi, make I go check my banking law books make I no confuse OP d more. ... its been long The policy was introduced long ago. Bank workers cannot be trusted, that's why CBN came up with that policy. These guys can take your card and clone it, even shop online with it and you will battling with your bank about debit alert. Too many crocks in the banking industry. So it's a right decision, even though my card haven't been stucked into an atm card before. |

Ancient chipset, interpolated camera and the display will really not look nice.
Lack of 4G network.

Belosconi: All you bashing Infinix on the quick release successions should know that Tecno is the king of that and not even Infinix.
Is it not all in our eyes this year that we were looking at Tecno launched Tecno L8, as we are about to check the features if L8, they dropped Tecno L8 Plus.
As we turned again to scrutinise the L8 Plus, Tecno immediately launched Tecno Boom J8.
People were still complaining, they dropped Tecno W4.
Ok, we thought that it will be their last, they quickly launched Tecno W3.
Not even enough, the moment we all turned back, we saw Tecno Camon C9.
Ok na Tecno e don do na for this year, Tecno say no, they quickly and secretly dropped Camon C7.
Now tell me, which other OEM can beat this succession? Tecno, Infinix and Itel is owned by same parent company. So if you like buy Infinix, Tecno or Itel, the money is entering the same guys pocket. Don't be deceived with their market Jimmy Jack. |

The one we have been paying what have they done with it Nigerians shouldn't be paying any tax because they will loot the money there. |

sapiosexual1: This is a man, teaching our tight fisted Nigerian billionaires the true value of wealth. We have the Babangidas, The Buharis (whose wife is a billionaire buh he is a pauper), The Danjumas, Obasanjo, Dantata, Our billionaire Men of God, etc etc all of them in one country, yet it's a total stranger who would teach us what it is to be humanitarian. There is something about being black , it makes you over value the worthless things you have. The last paragraph killed it. Kudos |
