Thank you for the warn welcome sir. pls at what stage do one prone ugu, I was told its important so as to bring more and better leaf(I don't no how true) and how do one sell I mean is there a specific measurement and the average price because I no it will be differ due to location and lastly what the best way to market it. looking forward to your swift responds( from all the gurus in d house ooo) Thanks

First, let me say we should endeavour to learn whatever will help our business to succeed however the cost...this is a bitter truth.
My candid advice is to first consult the expert, they will show you how and where to cut so as to give room for more development without having to kill it. Online explanation may not be satisfactory.

From my little experience, we learn everyday.....once your ugu has a minimum of three long branches of an arm stretch, they are due....watch out for where they show a greater branch off....CUT...out of the say the three, cut from two......

There are no precise sales measurement or average price...prices are subject to law of supply and demand......you can find out whats obtainable in your community.....

How to market.....my style of marketing cannot be the same as yours....but generally, visit the ugu market and find out how best you can penetrate.....there are different categories, those who buy lorry loads directly from farm, those who buy from the big buyers and those who retail.......

We invite interested farmer to join our suscribed group which kicks off in April, together we can achieve more and solve our perculiar challenges.

Investment / 4.5% Savings Interest by youngzoologist: 5:51pm On Jul 31, 2017
Hmmm...working into any banks in Nigeria, my first point is their "rate board"...indicating daily currency rate...
Down the board is the saving interest which in most banks reads 4.5%..
But in my many years of banking, I'm yet to see an alert showing such despite my daily, weekly and monthly balance...
Please, when exactly does the bank pays this interest....on what terms and conditions do they or not pay..

It is no longer a debate on the reality of unemployment mostly prevalent amongst the graduate youths.
Survival of many young Nigerians now depends largely on the skills they possess. Converting such skills to ventures is a great challenge due to lack of funding for start ups.
As an organisation, we've been able to help few out of this critical stage with our meagre resources, the stage many bigger organisation feared the most.
Nuturing new start ups and assisting existing one to scale up requires more funding.
Consequently, we seek for investors/ partners to reach our goals.
Interested, leave your enquiries.
Thanks.
[quote author=youngzoologist post=58907948]Nigeria with its current economy hardship is forcing quite a number of Nigerian youths to engage in various activities to survive due to lack of funding to start up a legitimate business.
A pilot project carried out shows that with as little as fifty thousand naira, many of these youths both men and women can start a small business with good mentorship and mentoring.
This we have proven in the last two years...
Consequently, we are inviting interested investors/partners to support our mission in empowering these set of Nigerians to reduce unemployment and poverty.....

I still wonder why some very intelligent, young agile and good character personified Nigerians still wanders the street in search of a job when they can simply build a career from a humble begining.
Today, the most attractive jobs every young graduate aspires are banking, oil and gas, telecommunicstion, etc.
My experience in two of a Nigeria commercial banks today prompted this writeup as each of the bankers(cashiers) lamented the nature of their jobs as against monthly take home.
One was curious enough to ask me how easy my job is...and i simply told him I'm an entrepreneur in the non-financial sector. No job is actually easy but some comes with a lot of ease and satisfaction.
To meet target, banks sends out their marketers to woo depositors whereas as an independent marketer you can as well get such depositors and determine your weekly/monthly wages with a redefine technology at your disposal.
All you need to kick start this is a pos machine and an ATM....
Work into any Nigerian bank and request for them....or chat me up on 07088628484 for more details.
I cannot promote banks for free on this platform

Dear nairalander, please help out.....
I noticed last month that my bank.....charged me a monthly fee on my Master card....I approached the customer care desk and was told it was a directive from the CBN but would be reversed.
Shockingly, instead of the reversed, I was again this month charged for the same ATM. I do not understand if this is applicable to only Master card users or cut it across....Its unimaginable the ridiculous open and hidden charges the banks subjected Nigerians bank customers to.....When will the policies of the Central Bank of Nigeria ever favoured the Nigeria customers. What justification has the CBN after a customer has paid for his/her ATM.

Romance / Sex Denial????? by youngzoologist: 3:32pm On Jun 07, 2017
Today, many wonder why men, most especially the married one, engage in extra marital affairs....study shows that, most married men in dare need of intimacy with their legitimate wife are often time if not most time denied sex with the later(wife) giving varying excuses, forgetting an oath of for better for worse....
Have you been a victim of such....how did you calm down......

Good morning compatriots and fellow farmers.....I'm an admin of three whatsapp group since last year and I can no less agree with your position on such social platform....indeed it has its merits but most often times does not really address the specifics....some Adkins created whatsapp for their selfish intentions, some whatsapp members joined for their selfish intentions.......it takes God and a sincere, passionate and committed agropreneur admin to manage such platforms....
In addressing some of such limitations.....my network though not specifically for ugu will support every move to see your idea comes through....we are over 50 registered members across Nigeria......should we be able to get it right in consolidating our efforts....it may history in the making.......
Below are few pics of ugu farns visited yesterday for survey and data collection......
God bless Nigeria Agriculturist/Farmers....
Ejulafarm:
You are so right on point. But about passion and implementation, I believe we don't need crowd of people to actualize it. Doing the course of running this thread, I have come across people with like passion as yourself and I. What we just have to do is create an enabling platform to help us achieve our goals.

I intentionally did not want to create a whatsapp group. I have seen some loops in using such medium as some are just there to feed on their knowledge bank without contributing an iota of input to the group. It takes a lot drive for one to follow a nairaland thread and POST.

Believe me, I have related to persons and there's enough drive to achieve Ugu Farmers Association (UFA). We can't start letting all the geese out of the bags yet. The password to any info for UFA is PASSION and COMMITMENT.

Try discussing on both threads, so we can fish out the genuine ones. I believe the present youths in the country are yearning for a platform with great minds. Let's make this happen.

Some info you deem it's not fit for the public eye can be shared to my email. If I or you see other commitment individuals, please do let us know.

We need Commitment and not Crowd. The Crowd will fall in place in due time.

It is critical we build a structure and a thorough objective for UFA.

Looking forward to working with you and other committed fellows.

Regards,
Ejula Farm
