@ejula...well done brother....I'm yet to have your whatsapp contact...
I'm using an hectare of land for ugu farming in Lagos as a group project which is also in phase...the entire land area is 3.5hect...but this is our first time and we decided to phase it to see the result....we can guarantee regular supply should we get this right...

Out of the Box Thinking

Preserving Ugu Leaves:

This area is yet to be really understudied considering our lack of interest. An harvested Ugu can still retain its freshness if stored in the fridge. But for how long, I am yet to ascertain.

Is there an opportunity for this area to yield great return no matter the invested capital? Considering building a cold room gulp up huge cost.

Or is there a more cost effective way in achieving this?
Hello ejula...please kindly leave me your whatsapp contact.....Thanks...

The preservation of Ugu leaves is a huge bearing branch in the value tree of Ugu farming and this can be felt by everyone doing the dry season pricing.

This idea can help one out there if you have the time and tenacity to study it.

I will update of my progress soon by God's grace.

Good morning

Please house i have hatched this fish on 14 october i am now worried about their size becouse this is my first time.
Is the aize ok for 4 weeks hatchlings? What about the their popilation in that tank? Are they not too many for the tank?
Thank you.
I like to congratulate for the successful hatching....good job....first, I think their sizes @4weeks old is undoubtedly smaller than expected size at 4weeks and this may be traceable to overpopulation......coupled with other factors...I could see shooters in their already.....
Their sizes can improve tremendously if you can provide more ponds to accommodate them and proper management....

please house I have flair for ugu farm but don't know to get people to buy them after growth ....I reside in Benin city ....CONTACT/WHATSAPP :07063358986

thanks
However successful your farming was....if you cannot sell your farm produce profitably then its no longer a success.....two options you have....either you have middle men coming for it or you scout for your direct customers.....either way you need to do some market survey....1. in terms of pricing and quantity...2. vegetable markets in your area....3. price differentiation using direct or indirect sales strategy......
All the best....

Average of 60 seeds per big pod.

Yesterday, this is the range I got from 9 pods.

Minimum seed per pod - 42
Maximum seed per pod - 101
Thanks greatly great agropreneurs....I have no doubt in my mind that with time this country will change for the better most especially at the leadership stage.....I'm also working on an hectare of land for ugu as a group this dry season...will equally share the success stories.

My view too is that it is not pH issue cos they hatched and survived till at least three weeks.....my question is how do you manage your fries in your hatchery....this is another major area of concerns....like they've said....flow through....but it isn't enough cos Artemis settles down at the bottom of the pond and fries tends to hide underneath it....how often do you siphon your feed sediment.... The floor of your hatchery must be clean and freed of feed waste.....

this is my story, am into furniture and interior decoration needed to expand my reach, i contacted renmoney for a loan of 50000, it was declined. Not until i have 15people on my pay roll imagine that for just a little sum. But for a salary earner is job is a colateral
first let me say this....this thread is not just for loan issues...so, I will appreciate other factors that militate against our business success to be discussed....let's learn positively from one another.....@Zionwinn....the bottom line is that the ocean is big, wide and deep enough for marine animals to swim....ocean is just one of the waters....we have the lagoons, estuaries, rives, streams....believe you mean, if indeed you think their are no best option to raise that #50k than resulting to loan....then check other financial instituitions...you don't stop at one....but honestly....you need to understand your revenue income...with that, you can convince anyone

@eph12...exactly....most entrepreneurs fails in organising their business from the very inception....but honestly, their is need for us to learn from the successful entrepreneurs globally...how they started, the challenges they faced and how they are over coming these challenges to stay at the top of their businesses...

where is the hope in this country when you want to secure a loan as an enterprenor the requirement is not here, some require that you should be employed, while others want you to pay on a weekly basis. The system is so design that it favors the rich
You are my discussant...first why do you need a loan....and honestly...getting loan is not as hard as its been painted but the truth is....many seek for loan when they are in financial distress, desperation without any good financial record.

Business / Re: Profit Sharing Ratio Between Business Partners by youngzoologist: 6:43pm On Sep 24, 2016
Whaoo...sometimes, I just love to read through threads on nairaland without making comment...their are ingenious guys in this country....my candid take....every contributions is a product of individuals experience and mindset. As an entrepreneur who equally engages in investment business arrangement...I've realised that the major factors in any investment partnership are, TRUST, TRANSPARENCY, ACCOUNTABILITY. These are rare factors to come by in partnership.
My submission in line with many other views....partners must understand models that best works for them....Nigeria market is unstable market because of the dollar index which determines the prices of goods per time....
We must understand that, the one with the idea is bringing in two assets either classified as tangible or intangible.... One "idea", two "labour"...these must be factored into the cost....the one with the idea must understand its financials well ahead....a realistic net income must be proposed.....there after...he can now offer either of these two models to his/her prospective investors
1. Return On Investment based on net profit realise or
2. Interest based on capital invested for a period of time.
For the Investor, his/her only asset is money.....so, such as to examine so many investment options that can bring returns in either short, mid or long term...taking into consideration risks or no risks...
....Hope to continue next time....nice thread anyway....love to chat me up for how my model works.....my whatsapp is 08077523538
