Good Day To You All My Fellow Nairalanders.

I'm a Nigerian, still in my early 20's. I wouldn't like to bore anyone with unnecessary intro, I'll go straight to the main reason at which this thread is been created.

At the age of 19, I discovered how engrossed I have become searching informations on the Internet, everyone around me complained on how I'm always seen pressing phone almost all the time. the thing is that I love exploring websites, everything about Internet gives me joy, the Internet had made almost everything we want available to us at just simple click on our devices and site icons. my passion for Internet world grew by the day, I love searching for information and reading success stories of great men who out of determination and persistence brought forth inventions that had turned the world around and also made it a better place today. as the years went by I found interest in programming. I started by learning python because of it's simplicity, although I'm not perfect or close to being one in any way currently but my passion for Internet world lead me to try learning anything I could about Internet in other to make myself happy. after I struggle to understand the basic concept of python language through an online site that teaches python and also send series of assignments to members through their emails, I began to understand certain things such as, how Web pages are being created, how different languages works better for different websites and purpose etc. Then with time different ideas began to pop up in my mind, I began to imagine new things. this ideas came just like a thought which I smiled at but with time it kept coming back like a reminder and each time clearer, bigger and innovative.

There are two (2) Ideas that I currently I have but the problem is how to execute each of them due to the situation surrounding our country. learning programing in Nigerian University is like a Chinese man teaching you yoruba language, yes. it's as worst as that.

1. the first idea is in form of online market, or you could call it online shops. I wouldn't want to share much or go deep to explain how any of the two works because this place is a public forum, you can relate my fear with what happened to Facebook inventors.

one of my friend once tried to steal a song that I wrote, I actually showed him the lyrics and he demand I sing it to his ears which I did, he was damn amazed by the flow that he argue I wasn't the one who wrote it, later he succumbed that I was truly the owner when I did freestyle with him then he took the paper that I wrote those lyrics and tried to make away with it, we dragged for it, later we fought for it and squeezed it into pieces. after that event I made up my mind to be mindful of how I share raw ideas with a second parthy.

2. This one is in form of social media but of total difference with amazing features. I'm sure this one would be easier to achieve than the previous one but the first one is the main bomb.

In as much I'm excited and feel like sharing every atom of how this two ideas works, its features, uses and how it would work in reality I also have to hold them back to avoid someone else stealing it away from me.

I'm 100% sure of what those two things are but my problem is that I don't know how to start, where to start, who to talk to, where to go and how to go about it. I need someone to give me a lead, direction on how to take the numerous steps before me Accordingly. only if I had the opportunity to study programing abroad and gain strong knowledge and understanding in every concept of it to start writing codes for these two apps.

please kindly share your thoughts

You're a whole lot impressive.
It's quite thrilling to see someone as young and yet ambitious; on a forum where men of 25 yrs and above are shouting FTC, where you see grown ladies spending all the precious day fighting on expired BBN threads. While some of your equals open threads with chaotic grammar, seeking advice for their illicit relationships, and you see many adults rushing to give advice just because of the enormous fake likes people acquire on relationship threads.

As regards your proposed sites/apps, though you gave no clue about what they entail but generally for online stores, except you want to drop ship, you might be preparing for services like delivery, warehouse, offices, agents, staffs and other things. That's a massive, involving business that might not be advisable.
Why not create an online hub where buyers and sellers meet? A place where people display their goods, skills, qualifications, professions and so on. Anyone who needs an employee, lawyer, skilled services, labour, artisans etc in any part of the country can consult your hub. As time goes on, it might expand to involve the whole of Africa if it survives. You advertise, and users pay if they want their stuffs given special promotion.

As for the Social Media/online forum/app, except you have any new/catchy idea better/different from existing ones, it's 50/50.

If you want to go about achieving these propositions, you could hire people to do it for you or you create a team, but the latter is the best especially since you said you're already into programming. Best thing is to give your learning harder approach, so you can be the major player and do things exactly the way you conceived them, while you also keep to yourself things you don't want to share.
There's no need to rush, time is still on your side. Learn the appropriate things you need, list what you want, know all what it entails, plan, then you need financial support and helping hands too. Then start with rough/trial/small scale. Never launch into a big project at once or else there would be big problems. The initial launch is to observe how it goes, from there you notice the flaws, give it a better shot and expand.

No guarantee in life though, many people tried things, only the lucky ones make it through. Facebook has been here for long before it eventually blew. But then, if one doesn't start something, how would one know if it would survive or not.

If you continue to stay loyal to your dream and hustle, at 25 yrs, you shouldn't be here shouting FTC.

Wow! , sir I don't know you but your words hits deep, I read your comment more than thrice to digest all the advise and knowledge in it, honestly I felt like I sat with an elderly man with grey hairs who fill my mind with words of wisdom and counseling. I didn't want your comment to end, I wanted more because it's enriched in reality and honest.

About the online market app. sir, it's not what you thought, yes of course. you advised me with reference to the ones you're familiar with because it seems there's nothing one could do that will be "NEW", at the quoted is what made me call the idea invention. it's definitely knew and I guess I took my thoughts out of the box.

Then the social media app, Hmmm. this one shouldn't be called social media completely as its features extends into other areas such as blogging and many more but in one packaged app. I took in ideas to add things that would give users the "NEED, URGE AND REASONS" to open up the app every minute of their life.

What would it have that the others won't, how would you manage encryption of data, how would you manage rendering services. Lastly don't seek help from Nigerians, go to somewhere like stack overflow and search. Nigerians only think about money not innovations (the true fact). Tried asking for help with a programming language I got nothing. I can't even ask for help with my dream of building an OS.

It was the hottest app, everyone was using it, if you were not on 2go you were not a cool kid, I got my first feature phone (java phone) around 2008, and was instantly addicted to the app.

The funny part was I didn't even create a new account, I bought a used phone, when I opened the 2go app, I found the previous owners account and just started using it. Looking at the craze that surrounded the 2go app back then, it could have been the first African owned successful social network, well. It was for five years, but after that it became a child's app

"we agreed to meet today. he replied displaying the address in his hand to the thug who just glanced at it.

The thug was partially convinced that Loretta must have knowledge of the visitor coming not because of what Leo said but due to Loretta's handwriting he had seen on the address the guy waved at him.

"Give me few minutes, the thug said and left.

"Leo!, Cole called out as soon as the gate was closed.

"You're a fool man, Leo retorted.

"chill bro, I just want to let you know that they have dog.

"Where? how did you know that...Leo paid attention to him now, but the thug opened the gate and motioned him to come inside before Cole could replied him from the other side..

"Hey! Who's that, are you guys together?.. the thug asked pointing at Cole who's now walking hurriedly towards them when he saw that Leo is been allowed to go in..

In as much Leo wanted to deny ever knowing the idiot, he also remembered that his company is still much needed in other for him to feel confident and comfortable inside the building he decided to let go.

"Yes we came together." Leo said with a brief smile that disappeared almost immediately.

"Man, how come you stood over there? the thug asked Cole as they walked into the large compound.

" Oh don't mind me, actually I'm an architect. I was taking clearer look at the building from there, I guess I would love to do something like this in the future. Cole lied"

"Really? why stress your eyes from that far when you know that you will still come inside and get better view of the whole structure. the thug answered innocently.

"No sir, as an arc I have to stand some distance away from the building in other to see all curves, bending and settings of the building . Cole made his lies more professional

Leo was just staring at Cole, the more Cole lied the more he suppressed the bowl of laughter that seeks it's way out of his belly. the idiot sure knew how to lie and lie and lie again

" I guess you knew your work better then, the thug concluded as they got to a section of the compound with small building that house different large empty but well decorated bars.

"over there!, the thug said pointing at a wide spaced guest bar, with different expensive chairs and table arranged in a fashionable way, there were also wines and all sort of expensive drinks arranged in a big transparent showcase, it took a closer look for Cole to know that it's a fridge.

"They both sank into a double seater sofa, the softness of the chair made them wonder if the chairs were made with bread.

"make yourselves comfortable, Loretta will join you in a jiffy but while you wait let me call a maid to entertain you. the thug said and walked away into another section of the compound leaving the two friends alone.

"Cole, Leo called out looking around like a child who just saw aeroplane flying up.

"Yes....

" We're in this together remember, so if you blow, I don blow too... Cole explained still turning his head 180 degree to see everything around the building

They were carried away in their little moment of laughter and didn't notice when a young lady walked in baring a tray containing glass cups and wine in it

"She cleared her throat in a playful manner in other to alert them of her presence.

Cole was the first to notice the figure and stopped laughing

"Good day sirs, you're having fun already I could see that. please my boss will be here any moment, she apologizes for the delay. I brought some drinks for you. the maid said and bent over the table to drop the tray..

"Leo and cole's eyes bulged out in amazement of the beauty before them, her two elegant melons popped up as she made to bend and drop what she was carrying.

you're a maid? Cole asked the girl as she was about to walk away ignoring the stares she have noticed from them when she looked up after dropping the tray.

"I must take my leave now, she said and walked away taking her steps gently while her huge hips swayed in rhythm to her steps .

"Jesus! ..Cole exclaimed, blinking his eyes repeatedly as if to be sure that what he just saw was real.

Leo wanted to say something but kept quiet when he noticed a familiar figure stepped out of the house from the main building and started walking towards them, he recognized her instantly...Loretta he gasped.

"Guy you don't know how to describe beauty o. this babe na goodness nau, see curves, hips....

"Guy shout up, Leo cautioned Cole who was trying to describe all qualities if Loretta who was now almost at the entrance

they both stood up as soon as Loretta got to the mini bar where they sat.

"Hello, I'm deeply sorry for delaying you guys. Loretta voiced out, her voice was so angelic that their brain took some few seconds to differentiate it from music.

she was dressed in a pink designer gown that barely reached her thighs thus showcasing too much fresh, her hips stood out firmly while the gown displayed all her curves and model shape, the top of her gown was designed with flowers and the arm was free with a simple design but beautiful. she walked to Leo and they shared quick hug and peck

Leo wished the hug could last forever but it didn't, he watched her walk to Cole who was already bracing up for a hug, they shared slight hug as well and Cole spoke up immediately

" Wow! you're such a goodness I must confess, I'm Cole nice to meet Ya. Cole said to her immediately they broke the hug.

Anger filled Leo's heart at that moment, he hated his friends composure, confident and smartness. the idiot is even speaking correct English with phonetic..He thought to himself

WHAT MEANT TO BE ADVENTURE FOR THE TWO TURNED OUT TO BE A BATTLE OF SURVIVAL, BLOODY QUEST AND THE TWO WOULD DEFINITELY LOSE THEIR LIVES EXCEPT THEY PLAYED WELL AND BEAT HAND OF TIME.

FIRST CHAPTER

"Guy you sure sey Na this house The babe Yan for the address so? Cole asked Leo with bit of fear in his voice. they were both approaching a magnificent building, decorated with expensive marble ties, honestly without being told one can easily deduce that the occupant of the building is stinkly rich. Leo on the other hand wasn't sure of the address either, He equally understood cole's plight as cole's fear had now suddenly found its way into his nervous cells, His two legs were now moving at a very low pace now.

"Cole, Leo called out almost in a whisper.

Cole glanced at Leo's face and little lines formed on his face as he smiled on noticing his friends change in composure. "Wetin happen?, he replied.

"Bro you dey see Wetin I dey see? hope this chick didn't play fast one on me, he stopped walking. guy I no fit go further again. Leo said blatantly"

"Guy why you go dey talk like woman? abeg stop being a sissy and let's go knock the gate.

"which gate? Leo retorted.

"this place Na Adeleke street lekki phase 1, she told you that her house was No.3 and even a blind man can easily see that "3" boldly written on the gate over there, Cole replied pointing at a huge Gate with number 3 inscribed boldly on both sides.

"Leo swallowed hard and began to walk towards the gate, Cole was making it more difficult for him, He took a closer look at the gate again and was marveled by the architectural structure and beautiful design of the whole building, everything about the house was like intimidation to his father's tattered bungalow, he had only seen such house in movies but now he was on a suicide mission to go and visit one of the occupants of the house whom he was sure is a daughter to the owner of the house.

Leo got to the gate with Cole tagging closely behind him and placed a gentle knock on the gate. He could hear his own heartbeat and his brain saying to him " Bros dey go inside, I go dey wait for you outside" then the gate opened and he saw his skeleton ran out of his body to the side of the road for safety.

" A heavily built thug dressed in black bullet proofed jacket and jeans trouser opened the gate and stepped out, Hello Mr how may I help you?. the bouncer voiced out..

Leo was expecting Cole to talk but after 3secs without noticing any movement beside him he turned back only to see Cole standing at the other side of the road, it was then it dawned on him that it wasn't his brain speaking to him that time neither was it his skeleton that ran to the other side of the road, it was his friend Cole.

"Hello Mr, will you talk to me or continue staring around? voice of the thug jabbed him out of his oblivious state.

"Ye..yes sir, I'm here to see Loretta.. Leo managed to say

........FLASHBACK.... 3DAYS AGO.........

Leo was in his mother's restaurant where his junior sister also worked as an attendant, he sat at a corner browsing through websites when he noticed a young beautiful lady sitting adjacent to his position, she was so pretty that he couldn't help but admire her beauty and rich look, she really has taste for quality things as it could be clearly seen in her dressing, Leo decided to play smart so he pretended to be a customer and moved closer to where she sat.

his sister immediately understood his plight and decided to play along

"Hello please attend to me quickly I'm in a hurry and I didn't park my car well. Leo said blatantly making hand gesture to his sister to be quick.

his sister smiled and the pretty lady gave him a charming stare that could make him exchange his mother's restaurant for her kiss.

"Customer, his sister called out. you too dey change car o, see the kind of car you brought today. "She said pointing at someone's Range Rover Sport parked outside.

"Yes, I got tired of that my Lambogini and my mother went out with my dad's venza so I decided to use my mother's rang Rover. Leo answered.

His sister couldn't hold the laughter so she ran to the kitchen section of the restaurant and blasted it out leaving Leo and the lady alone.

Leo sized the opportunity, he sparked up conversation with her, in no time he was already brain washing the pretty lady with new version of lies that devil is yet to discover, luck was on his side as the said girl wasn't proving hard to get, she talked with him cheerfully.

everything was moving smoothly till when Leo's mother walked into the restaurant and saw him with plate of delicacy and chatting away with a lady

"Leonard!, his mother called out, Na only to dey chop like mumu you know, even the customer you're talking to have finished eating and you can't clear the dishes away. anyway hope you don comot the moi-moi for fire?
