Politics / Re: I Am Nigerian And A Feminist. by YouthAdvocator: 2:36am On Oct 09, 2016
It will be pretty hard for feminism to thrive in Nigeria.

Feminism will never thrive if:

-Majority of Nigerian girls prefer having guys foot the bills on a date.

- If Nigerian girls continue to aspire to be first ladies, instead of aspiring to become a Governor, Senator or President.

- Majority of Nigerian girls still affirm the Bible as the word to live by.

There are too numerous reasons why feminism won't work in Nigeria.

This guy will you make a good creative art director for Fanta, this is just exactly what attracts both children and youths who happen to be the major consumers of Fanta.

If Fanta gives this guy a chance, he will amplify their brand image, they should sponsor him for a start.
Politics / Re: Fayose Gives Cash And Cars To Teachers In Ekiti (Photos) by YouthAdvocator: 3:12pm On Oct 07, 2016
dumebiifeanyi:
Governor of Ekiti state, Ayodele Fayose is truly passionate about making sure teachers in Ekiti are well taken care of.

At the annual Teacher's day celebration held in the state a few days ago, Fayose gave out cash prizes and cars to the best teachers in the state. In the secondary school category, Mr Jeje Thompson from Ara Community High School, Ijero-Ekiti won the Best Teacher Award and went home with a Kia car, while Mr Ajayi Michael Oni from Ogunire High School, Ire-Ekiti came second and was given N200,000 consolation prize.

Mr Ajayi Isaac Kayode of Ikere Comprehensive High School, Ikere-Ekiti came third and was given N100,000 consolation prize.

In the primary school category, Mrs Adesina Modupe Bosede from Ikere came first and won a Kia car, while‎ Mrs Olofin Yemisi came second and won N200, 000, with Mr Aniobi Olagoke Femi was third and was given N100,000 consolation prize.

Fayose also donated a sum of N50 million to teachers in the state, adding that the schools that produce the best teachers at primary and secondary school levels would be given total facelift/upgrade by the state government.

Speaking at the event, Fayose said;

“I am the happiest person today. I really appreciate the teachers for your efforts. The most valuable investment is in education. You don’t need to be a professor to know that you must take good care of teachers. They are the ones moulding the character of our children. Our young ones spend more time with them too.If I did not win in 2014 they would have sacked most of you, but thank God I won and we are here today celebrating your day. We will continue to enhance your performance by training and re-training you the modern day way.‎ All your demands, I will look at them critically. ‎Anyone that I can attend to immediately, I will do so without delay. If I am good to you, I am only good to myself. The Parents Summit is to complement the efforts of teachers and it will be chaired by the Oluyin of Iyin-Ekiti, Oba Ademola Ajakaiye, who chaired last year’s Education Summit,”

Politics / Re: No One Can Force Any Senator Out Via Protest-Senator Ali Ndume by YouthAdvocator: 4:53pm On Apr 27, 2016
Nigerian politicians don't understand peace, all they understand is Violence.

Let Boko Haram decide to occupy NASS, by now headlines would be flying around about how Nigerian Senators are flying out of the country.

Politics / Re: Soldiers Shoot Olajideide Sipe In Festac (A Lawyer) - Gaphic photos by YouthAdvocator: 8:02pm On Apr 26, 2016
Most Nigerian soldiers are animals in human skin, they are quick to attack harmless civilians but they begin to 'tactically manoeuvre' when confronting Boko Haram members.

The same soldiers that Nigerians are praying for in volatile regions are the same soldiers coming back o brutalize Nigerians.

Some say it's the training, the training is not an excuse to behave like beasts,by the way,Nigerian soldiers training is not even half as hectic and tough as that of the Navy SEAL team in US.

This is the kind of stuffs we should encourage, this is a challenge for all youths out there, the next change in Nigeria wouldn't be of the old folks,it will be a youth revolution.

The youths should start joining political parties with an aim of contesting for positions, there is little online gangsterism can do to help resuscitate Nigeria from her dying state.

lofty900:
This is why I will never join any protest. My life is too precious to waste for nothing. If only she knew it would end like this, she would've stayed back in her room. See the kind of sorrow and pain she's caused her mom. Good luck Jonathan was never part of the Niger delta struggle but he was the greatest beneficiary of the struggle. You don't have to be part of the struggle to benefit from it.

Your thinking is myopic,if all Nigerian youths think like this, who would turn up for the Occupy Nigeria protest?,it is stuffs like this that make Nigerian politicians confident of looting without fearing consequences,so you want others to struggle, while you show up from nowhere to benefit, things are not done like that, the struggle is a collective one and should be done as such.

It is the rotten system that the masses have refused to protest against that is responsible for her death, whether we like it or not, evitable deaths like this will continue to occur until there is a total overhaul of the entire system.
