What your first degree in, what work experience do you have and how many years

I am still not convinced MBA opens any door in UK . .lol . I would rather do a masters in an area that you have relevant work experience

I have an MSc in International HR & 3 years work experience in the same area. Decided on an MBA because I was told I can only apply for an MBA or PhD. Something about showing progression. Why would you think it doesn’t open doors?

Good morning everyone. So I’ve been on the University rankings for more than 2 days, trying to get an affordable prestigious school to apply to for a specialized MBA. It’s been crazy to say the least. The VERY prestigious, high up the ladder schools are outrageously expensive (for me). The ones down the ladder are not exactly very prestigious but affordable. The ones in the middle offer generalist MBAs & cost between £21,000- £28,000. Something’s got to give! Do I go for a generalist MBA in any of the prestigious schools in the middle & shun specializing for now, or do I go for just any school that offers MBAs in an area I’d like to specialize in? I’m torn. I’d appreciate suggestions mbok.

Thanks, but in my case this will be my second masters(General MBA) , my first masters was in operations and production management. Do you know how marketable operations management is in the UK?

Considering the fact that I studied business Administration for my first degree.

I’m sorry. I have no idea.

You may spend a bit of time going through this list of business schools in the UK

https://www.eduniversal-ranking.com/business-school-university-ranking-in-united-kingdom.html

Will do. Thank you.

Can I ask this, based on your experience in the UK is the generalized MBA not marketable compared to the specialised MBA.

ALSO, does having certification in business analysis and IT open doors faster in the UK.

Generalist MBAs aren’t as marketable as specialized MBAs, not just in the UK but globally.

I’m afraid I don’t have an answer to the second question.

Try University of Bradford school of management.

Checked already. They don’t have any of the specialized MBAs I want.

Good evening everyone. Please I need help. I have an MSc in International HR from the UK and I’m interested in going for an MBA next year by God’s grace. I do not want to go for a general MBA & I’m trying my best to avoid London. So I’ve been searching for schools outside London that offer specialized MBA in Management, Strategy or Operations. I haven’t been able to come up with any. Does anyone have suggestions please? I would really appreciate. Thank you.

Good day everyone. Akwa Ibom State ministry of Education has a relatively affordable French language center. It's 9500 the first month & 5000 for subsequent months. The 9500 is inclusive of study materials. They have morning and evening sessions. The class starts every quarter & lasts for 3 months. You also have the option of paying for private lessons at 30,000 a month.

Just thought I'd put this out here for someone who might be interested.

Delete it. You will be required to provide a reference letter if you state his employment in the work history section. You should state it in your personal history instead.

See this.

Thank you! Just saw the response you gave to someone else. Will delete it immediately.

Good day everyone. Please I've got a question about an accompanying spouse's NOC. He worked in an organisation as an assistant accountant before moving on to do his own thing. So I chose NOC 1111 for him. However, he doesn't have the relevant accounting qualification. Do I just completely delete the work history & leave it blank? I don't want trouble o! Lol

You are welcome amongst us.

Pls take a few hours to read through the 30 odd pages of this thread for more info....how long, tips, study materials, how the points are calculated arc....

Following this I'm sure any one of us is a available to help with any additional questions.

It all depends on your prior level of french and how much time and resources you are prepared to commit ....anything between 3 months to 12 months....is my guess

Thank you. I appreciate your response.

Hello everyone. I'm new here and I'd like to make an enquiry. My CRS currently sits at 440 but I'm afraid I'll lose 5 points in a few weeks. So I'm considering TEF. I need about 20 points from TEF. There is a French language center in my town that I used to attend sometime ago.I don't mind starting all over. However, please, any idea how long it would take to get properly prepared for TEF? I'd appreciate suggestions and pointers. Thank you
