Couldn't have said it better. We love to enjoy better amenities, but we dont want to pay for it. I am sure there are other alternative roads people can take if they dont want to ply the super highway. But for anyone that values speed, convenience, and time value of money, I am sure this is a no brainer! EponObi: 2 Likes 1 Share |

And how has this improved your life ? *shaking my head* Brother (and I say that with all sense of respect), look at things critically and see forum like this as a way to learn not just catch cruise. I learn from everyone. And I am learning from your response as well (on how not to engage in civil dialogue). 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 |

HarunaWest: @Harunawest I commend your objective explanation and comprehension of the core matter. You perfectly understand how trips like this works and many add-on activities that try to capitalize on the main official visits. It frustrates me sometimes to explain simple things to those who are just fixated on a confirmation bias. This is not about party affiliation its about critical thinking and improving our reasoning so we can improve our lives and not be gullible to every news. Tinubu would govern and go, someone else would be in that position in the next upcoming cycles, but what do we do as individuals to rule our lives and the quality of our reasoning? There in is the core problem of naija. 1 Like |

Lexusgs430: I laugh because, If you look at the official FDI trend, you would miss this point. There are people (and I am one of them) carefully analyzing the trends and snapping up key prospects in different sectors with future growth opportunities because Naira is now cheap. Its all about positioning, delaying gratification and understanding the points of inflection. There is money to be made in any market whether upturn or downturn. if you know, you know. 1 Like |

Its only short sighted people that would take only myopic and emotional view to what is happening right now instead of taking an investment position to make a killing at the right time. 1 Like |

Additionally, it's essential to approach document interpretation with objectivity, because when we let sentiments rule our reasonings, they cloud understanding. I scrutinie the document carefully, and it certainly reveals that, it has nothing to do with Tinubu core official visit in itself and its not about Tinubu being snubbed, but its specifically involve certain activity by an arm of the govrnment or an association looking to collaborate with a ministry in Qatar. We all fall prey to the first intepretation that makes sense, which may not necessarily be true. We must learn to reduce this blindspot, and the importance of discernment, as intuition and emotion alone, when higher than objectivity can lead to deception. 2 Likes 1 Share |

Leaking official documents is unacceptable, irrespective of political leanings or the party in power. Such actions aimed at sabotaging the government must not be tolerated. They underscore a civil service that has grown excessively large, lacks discipline, and fails to uphold confidentiality despite its role. Honestly Heads should roll for this. 2 Likes |

Indeed, prioritizing power fixes would have masisive effect but it doesnt mean mean neglecting other pressing issuess well. Addressing years of decay isn't a straightforward task; it's multifaceted and cascading. Just as one can multitask, tackling various challenges simultaneously is possible. We must acknowledge that Tinubu cannot simply wave a magic wand to solve everything; turning this massive ship around will take time. Boldideas: 2 Likes |

What some term 'Trial and Error, I see as data collection, trend observation, and adaptation—a hallmark of seasoned professionals confronting multifaceted challenges. Despite the mess he has inherited, Cardoso endeavors to right several years of rottenness and burying our head in the sand. Yet his boldness in addressing longstanding issues is absolutely commendable. Orubebe01: 1 Like |

I typically try not to criticize others' perspectives, but respectfully, I find it essential to challenge the notion that equates being unmarried with being a failure in life. The prevailing narrative that considers marriage as the "greatest achievement" seems outdated and limiting. It's crucial to broaden our understanding of success and fulfillment beyond traditional societal expectations. I believe people have diverse aspirations and life paths, and their choices should be respected. I've encountered individuals who have consciously chosen not to pursue marriage, and they lead fulfilling lives, making significant contributions to society in unique ways. Their impact and fulfillment defies the stereotype that marriage is the sole measure of success. It's high time we shift these narratives and embrace the diversity of life choices that lead to personal happiness and meaningful societal contributions. Some individuals, due to societal pressure, were desperate to get married and had to bail after a horrible experience. "No gree for anybody" to pressure you, "dey your dey." G00dharddick: |

No, but citizens should learn to do things the right way instead of bending the rules. The normalization of bending rules is widespread, and we often criticize the government for not behaving well. However, it's crucial to remember that the government is not imported from other countries but is formed by citizens of the same Nigeria. We are essentially what we complain about. So far, there hasn't been any report of the owner of a demolished property presenting any form of approval documentation. We always think about how we would get away with it, not the consequences of our action if it goes sideways. I am not saying other countires are better, but its action like this that may people even in the developed countries to behave: *consequences* Hanndye: 1 Like |

Where were they ? I dont think that;s the right question. In a huge state with over 21 million people, the government can't be everywhere, and that's where we come in as citizens. Keeping an eye out for building violations is key – if we spot something, it's crucial to report it so the government can step in. I listened to the news and the enforcement came as a result of communities seeking government help to address the flooding in their areas. Even in fancy developed countries, issues, building construction (and codes) violations are rampant and it may take months or years before such people are brought to book. PHIPEX: 1 Like |

Totally agree with you. When acquiring something like vehicles that requires maintenance, it's crucial to factor in the total cost of ownership. Otherwise, it's akin to someone getting all excited about getting a puppy without realizing the ongoing commitment of feeding and caring for it for years to come. She's spot on from that perspective. Politics / Re: Babachir Lawal: CBN Governor Cardoso Has Patch-Patch CV by ysg4real(m): 8:48pm On Nov 09, 2023 |
This Babachir of a man is clearly expressing bitterness. :-D :-D. Have you had the chance to peruse Yemi Cardoso's impressive resume? I can attest, based on insights from some of my senior colleagues who worked with him, that he has consistently stood out as one of the most professional and astutely structured technocrats, particularly in the fields of economy and banking. He was Citibank in the era when Citiban was the gold standard for banking in Nigeria. It is highly plausible that Cardoso implemented measures to curtail the loopholes that cabals, such as Babachir, may have been exploiting. This man is bitter, simple. |

This goes to show how "our" problems are multi-dimensional and it takes courage to surmount it because there are many players within the environment that can frustrate the push for value production. If this is happening to the dangotes of this country, you can imagine what the nameless are facing in their push to create value. however, we do not give up, we keep pushing and hope the dams would break and all the barriers would be systematically and surgically addressed. 1 Like |

Religion / Re: Pastor Refuses To Wed Nigerian Man To His Canadian Bride Because No Papers (vid) by ysg4real(m): 10:29pm On Jul 18, 2023 |
Nonsense! Here is my take and the most fundamental information: The pastor is not an immigration officer!! Simple!!. What is his business with immigration papers if 2 consenting adults have decided to marry and they are willing to go ahead, being aware of their immmigration situation? There is no law that prevents 2 consenting adults from getting married even if they have no papers. While marriage can strengthen the immigration application, the admissibility in canada will be ultimately determined by an immigration officer based on requirement review. Not his business in my own opinion. He should have counselled them and if they still insist on getting married, then so be it! |

Political sentiments aside, Oluremi Tinubu is a really beautiful woman. I can imagine how she was in her 20's - 40's. Her trajectory to serve God is also worth studying. What led to it ? Was it voluntary or she was beset with challenges and only God was abe to help her. I love to study peoples' lives and update my model and way of thinking. You can learn from anyone - either through their achievements or mistakes. bennybuhari: 1 Like |
