The drive back to Anthony's house quiet. Jake was confused as to whom to choose between Maureen and Angel because he wanted them both. He looked at Angel, down to her flat stomach and sighed. The past couple of years had been tough for her. Losing her father, tradition demanded they stayed behind to Mourn their parents. Three months later, they were planning to return to Nigeria when she got summon to court. Her step brother had claimed that their father's will was tempered with. It was a ridiculous accusation and Jake was accused of helping her temper with her father's will because he lived on her. It was a serious case. Angel was her father's only child from his first marriage. He had remarried Kofi's mother after Angel lost her mum at the age of one. Most of her father's wealth came from her mother because, he was nothing when he met her. The poor man had left the company to Angel, since her mother's money built it and the shared the remaining wealth among his other children.
They kept appearing in court and Jake had to proof her step siblings wrong by showing them his bank statements. the brother's had still insisted that the money was given to him by Angel. That was when Jake revealed to them whom he really was and whom his family were.
'I don't need Angel's money. I am wealthy, in my own right', he had told the court.
It was obvious that Kofi had bribed the judge and they were really intending to cheat Angel because she had no one to help her.
At last, Jake was angry he had to threatened them all in the court.
'That will is valid. if you try to cheat her, I will take this case to court of appeal. I may not know much about court cases, but back in Nigeria, my younger sister, Tara Nicholas owns a law firm. You may have heard of it, 'the Glamorous law firm'. I will not rest until justice is served'
'Are you threatening us?'
'I am advising you'
Finally, Angel had won the case. She was more grateful to jake by standing by her. Jake didn't want to let her go, she was an orphan and Jake was the only person she trusted. He couldn't just bail on her now.
Henry drove into Anthony's house. He watched as his brother slowly alighted from the car and holding Angel's hands walked into the house.

In his room, Jake gave into his pain by drawing Angel to him and kissing her. He was trembling and she could feel it. She needed to reassure him. He unzipped her black dress and helped her out of her bra.
'Jake...'
'Angel, please, not you again'
'Not like this Jake. Not like this. Get hold of your self first'
He tried for a few seconds but couldn't. He ripped open his shirt and looked tenderly at her. She was silent.
'Angel, I love you', he told her
'I love you to Jake. Please be gentle, don't hurt our baby'
He captured her lips with his and carried her to the bed, as gently as he could. He ripped of his trousers and reached out for her pantie.s. She wasn't ready for him but he slowly pushed into her. A tear slipped from her eyes.
'Angel, sweet Angel, I am so very sorry'
He leaned forward and kissed away her tears. So intent was he on finishing his duty that he didn't hear the footstep at the door. A knock sounded and the door was pushed open. Angel panicked, she quickly covered her face with his chest. Jake looked up and it was to see Henry, he couldn't stop, wouldn't stop.
'Henry get the hell out of here', he shouted but Henry was already gone. Jake lurched forward, cradled Angel's face in his arms and gave in to the passion and pain he felt. Afterward, he laid on top of her, breathing heavily. Finally, what he had done hit him like a thunderstorm. He felt so ashamed of himself.
'Angel?'
She was crying now. Her body shook as she cried. She couldn't look at him, wouldn't look at him. He left the bed, picked a rope and covered himself and then returned to the bed.
'Baby, I am so sorry'
She kept crying and he felt like shooting himself. He had never knew he could hurt her so badly. It was all Maureen's fault. He opened his arms and she went into them, hi cupping.
'I promise never to hurt you again. I just got upset'
'Will it always be like this whenever you fight with Maureen? You will keep seeing her, because you two have kids between you. I don't care, but will I always be the one to bear the brunt?'
'No. I promise you it won't repeat itself'
'I can't face your brother. Not after what he had seen'
'Listen Angel, he is my only brother and I assure, what he did wasn't intentional. He might have thought you were in your room. Don't ever be shy of him, I know he will never hurt you'
'Its Maureen they all wanted, not me'
'As soon as they hear about the pregnancy, I'm sure they will'
'But Jake...'
'He had seen Maureen's uncladness once, she was so furious with him she refused to talk to him for months. So just forget him, pretend it didn't bother you, he really is a nice person but I will talk to him to always knock before entering'
He helped her shower and into bed. She would sleep with him today, his father can get mad for all he cared. She smiled at him and he kissed her forehead.
'I need to go talk with Henry. Can you wait here for me?'
She nodded. But they heard a knock on the door. She panicked again.
'Hey, its Henry. You are doing nothing wrong. Just get used to him'
The knock sounded again and Jake bid Henry to enter.
Henry opened the door, He saw Angel lying in bed and Jake hovering over her like a hawk. She was uncomfortable but he needed to clear the air.
'I am so sorry Angel, if I had known, I wouldn't have entered the room'
She sat up and held the sheets to her chin. She managed to smile at Henry.
'No qualms'
'Can I talk with Henry privately please?'
'Sure'
She looked at Jake, forgot the sheet she was clutching and ran into the bathroom. Unclad. Henry was smart enough to remove his gaze from her as Jake followed her to the bathroom. He heard her throwing up her dinner and wondered if she was pregnant. Slowly, he retreated to the living room, where he would be waiting for his brother.

As soon as Jake entered the room, Henry rushed at him with a blow.
'What's that for?'
'That's for forcing yourself on that poor woman'
'How dare you come in without knocking?'
'Father told me you guys don't share a room so I didn't know she was with you. I'm sorry'
'Well, it better not repeat itself. You embarrassed her'
'I know. Now tell me. Is she pregnant?'
'Yes'
'Oh'
'You know you have to choose between and Maureen, don't you?'
'I don't'
'You still feel something for Maureen, I saw the way you looked at her. What you felt for her isn't completely gone'
'Who is that Man?'
'Who?'
'Edward'
'He is a cardiologist. I think since Angel is carrying your baby, you just have to let Maureen go. It will be good for both women and the kids'
'And have that man raise my kids?'
'yes. You decided to let another minute raise your kids when you couldn't be stable'
'I...I'
'Spare me Jake'
'Henry, I will go to court and have them order Maureen to hand over my kids'
Henry looked surprisingly at his brother. He let out a long laughed nd clutched his stomach.
'What is funny?', Jake asked
'You want to take Maureen to court?'
'Is there anything wrong with that?'
'Don't be silly Jake. No court would listen to you. You and Maureen were never married, you've never paid a dime as bride price on her head'
The full implication of everything hit Jake. He sat down on a chair and his heads between his palm.
'So?'
'I tried to marry her. That brother of hers...'
'This isn't time to point hands Jake. First, you need to make peace with Maureen. She may have pity on you and let you see your kids once or twice in a month. She may even allow them spend some of their vacation with you'
'They are my kids. I pay for their upkeep'
'It doesn't matter. You have to be at Maureen and Joel's good side. And then, you have to make another difficult choice'
'What?'
'You must relocate over to this place. The more you disappear and appear, the more you will loose your kids and the more they will become strangers to you. You have to be here to see them grow'
'Henry'
'Father hasn't forgiven you for allowing another man take Maureen from you. I don't think he will ever forgive you. The least you can do is stick around them.
Finally, you shall not buy a house Jake. You and Angel must live with father'
'No'
'He is old and we both know he loves Victoria more than all his grand kids. You staying here will accord father more time with the kids whenever Maureen allow them to visit'
'I can't imagine Maureen with another man'
'Get used to it. But first, do all you have to and make peace with her. You two must sit down nd talk and you must apologize to her for all you did to her and her kids'
'my kids, can they be ever happy being with me?'
'We have to find out Jake. You've lost whatever trust they had for you. You have to earned another again'

Hey, I remembered you from my previous threads. I started this story over a year ago. All went well at first until I discovered that immediately after posting it here on NL, some retrieve it and repost in their blogs and site. Some even make money for a story I post here free.
Some readers, seeing the problem advised to remove some parts of the story in order to avoid a repeat. I removed some parts of the story and abandoned the work for over half a year. But then, I continued because I knew there were some that still follow, hoping I will one day conclude it nd here we are today.
Unfortunately, this is the only story in all my stories that is unavailable. I am really soory but getting access to this story is very hard, I need you to put yourself in my shoes. And understnd that this is done for security reasons
