Jokes EtcTerrorist Alert! by yulad(op): 1:17am On Dec 12, 2010
A terrorist group known as Coalition for Massive Instability Co. (COMIC) is on the prowl. This is the greatest terrorist threat known to mankind whose ultimate goal is to destroy the world as we know it, destabilizing the socio-political environment in which we live and civilization as is.

For this reason, a joint task force comprising the world's most elite intelligence agencies; the French Agencie Justice Officiale et Kamikaze Extraordinaire (AJOKE), the American Gross Emergency Diversion Deployment and Infiltration Team (GEDDIT) and the Italian Legion Majore Aggravazio Organizaccione(LMAO) have brought together a team that has been on their trail and following their progress. It is comforting to know that the agents are on top of the situation and are capable of checkmating this threat.

The intelligence team led by Agent-in-charge, D. Tec Teef and his second-in-command, Doug Kacher has put together a list of the suspected terrorist members. In the Operation Know Off-handedly Your Enemy (OKOYE), it is the policy of the anti-terrorist team to embrace full disclosure and feel inclined to inform the general public to aid in the fight against terror.

By the way, there is a $10,000 reward for any information leading to the terrorists' capture and/ or foiling their plans. Do not, I repeat, do not attempt to accost them alone. If you have vital information, send it via e-mail at gotyourgoat@yahooze.com or call 1-800-242-4242 begin_of_the_skype_highlighting 1-800-242-4242 end_of_the_skype_highlighting (1-800-AHA-HAHA begin_of_the_skype_highlighting 1-800-AHA-HAHA end_of_the_skype_highlighting).
Elimination team
1. Awana Qillyu-(Libya)
2. Ashud Qillim (Iraq)
3. Asaid Layd Oun (Iran)
4. Shu Tin Gon (China)
5. Coq d'Ghone (France)
Evasion and Subterfuge Team
1. Rhone Fokova (Russian)
2. Clem A. Tree (Australian)
3. Ron N. Hyde (American)
Logistic and Support Team
1. Hewitt D. Bahdmein (Germany)
2. S. Sault and B. Terry (England)
Others
1. Abum Iswayad (Ballistics and Explosive Division) (Lebanon)
2. Hassas N. Ashun (High Profile Terminator) (Turkey)
3. Kum P. Tahaka (Cybernetics) (Japan)
Signed
D. Tec Teef
Management

P.S. You may be wondering why the list does not include a Nigerian. This is because Nigerian grown-ups find it inexcusable to wear diapers for any reason (the case of Mutallab being an exception rather than the rule) as it is a major blow to his/her dignity. The nickname, 'Ukwu Pampers'-loosely translated to 'diapers ass' is avoided like the plague.

Music/RadioCan Rapper M.i Quit Music For Movies? by yulad(op): 10:33pm On Sep 27, 2010
Whatever deal it is the shortblack boy just clinched that’s making him give up singing like he claims had better be fat and true because we’re beginning to tire of this popular stunt. Some of your predecessors have tried similar stunts (ask Tunde and Wunmi Obe) only to debunk over and over after a while and then release the next album. In the process, they occupy media space before announcing the next album release and then we find out it’s been a calculated move to stay talked about.
Last week, ‘news’ of the rapper called MI ditching music for acting in Nollywood emanated from his label, Chocolate city, confirming earlier speculations allegedly planted by same label. The release went as far as telling us that the artiste “jet out to Los Angeles last week to take shots on scenes from his forthcoming debut performance in the action movie which he is cast in”. The implication of this information, as now confirmed by his publicist, is that there would be a delay in releasing the rapper’s very anticipated sophomore album previously scheduled for a September/October release I’m not sure the media’s quite falling for this ‘news’ from your camp – until of course we see the movie trailer, and I advise the public to take the same stand.

PoliticsPrivatize Phcn, See Hell, Electricity Workers Tell Jonathan by yulad(op): 1:00am On Sep 16, 2010
Electricity workers in the country have warned that if the Federal Government goes ahead with its planned privatization of the Power Holding Company of Nigeria (PHCN), then, it should be prepared for the worst.
General Secretary of the National Union of Electricity Employees (NUEE), Mr Joe Ajaero disclosed at a retreat for officers of the union in Kaduna yesterday that the decision of the Federal Government to go ahead with the privatization of the power sector was not good for the development of any nation.

According to him, there was no where in the world where the power sector of any nation was entrusted in the hand of the private sector, pointing out that they were prepared to fight the government to forestall this even if it meant getting hurt in the process.

He accused the Presidential Adviser on Power, Prof. Bart Nnaji of trying to take over the power sector through the back door, insisting that as an interested party in the power sector, Prof. Nnaji’s company which was one of those licensed in 2005 had not contributed a single megawatt of electricity to the national grid.

He argued that none of the about 30 companies that were licensed in 2005 had been able to produce a single megawatt and today, they are trying to hand over PHCN to a few individual and “we are saying they should tell us where that is done in the world. But they have not been able to give us one example.”
Mr Ajaero argued that today, the basis for their existence as electricity workers was already being threatened and for the past five years, it had been the same way, adding that “we have decided to confront these issues of grandstanding by the government head on.

“We won’t be surprise if we get hot or bruised, but if we fail to fight, we will die and if we fight, we will survive. So, if there is need for us to fight, we will fight. Part of the problems we are facing is that other organizations that were confronted with this problem did not start the fight. If they had started the fight, we would have been able to consolidate.

Note that I am not in suppourt of such a union. I am just not clear on the grounds for carrying out the prosecution. I mean we have been having this sharia vs Nigerian constitution for a long time. And this obviously is not an isolated case. I even doubt the Nigerian legal system has clear cut provisions for such a case as this. This is justanother case of doing somethin just to appear busy--like, say, running to work on a trampoline!
PoliticsRe: Yerima To Face Prosecution ! by yulad(m): 10:04am On Aug 06, 2010
I think we should all give it a break already.

What really are they prosecuting him for? Contracting a marriage with a minor with the consent of her parents? I think this is a case of Nigerians trying to prove more Western than the West, like the ill-fated move to legalize gay marriages some years back.

Granted-- the man is el grande douchebaggio. Granted-- this makes me feel like socking him a good one in the gut. But to prosecute him--hah!. Even some states in the U.S. still have marriages with minors (13-17) legal with parental consent
