Value Joe Akhigbe is a serving corps member (who was supposed to have passed out on the 13th of December, 2018) in Jos south LGA, Plateau state. He was an active member of the drama and dance CDS group. The sad incidence began on the 10th of December, 2018. He left his lodge (as testified by his fellow colleagues) and that was the last time he was seen or heard from by both family and friends.

On the day of his passing out parade, his family members were expecting him to share pictures and clips of him at the POP ceremony but he didn't. His family tried to reach him but were unable to even after several tries. On the 18th of December, 2018 a representative of his family (Akhigbe Jerry - his elder brother) came down to his PPA and local government to find out what was going on. He properly laid a complaint with the NYSC OFFICIALS (Jos south and the state coordinator pleatue state) and the Nigeria police jos south division. His complaint was received and the body (NYSC - pleatue state) promised to carry out a proper investigation with regard to the whereabouts of Value Joe Akhigbe. The aforementioned authorities failed to carry out any investigation or report to higher authorities. Dissatisfied and disappointed by this gross irresponsibility, his elder bro revisited the NYSC Jos south LGA in Plateau state on the 29th of December, 2018 where he lamented bitterly that he and his family had not heard anything concerning Value, and no progress had been made. The police had not made any arrest nor had any one been brought on for questioning. In fact, the Director General of NYSC has not been informed at the time of writing this petition; February 16, 2019. The police (Jos south division)  was pressurized by the family, hence they claimed that the nonchalant attitude of NYSC Plateau STATE in providing funding was the reason they could not carry out their duties.

This is gross negligence of duty by the NYSC PLEATUE STATE BODY and the police. We are petitioning the National Youth Service Corps and Federal Government of Nigeria to take responsibility for their actions and disregard of human life; the life of a Nigerian youth who is their responsibility. Based on their inaction and actions, it is apparent that this may not be the first time they are acting in such an irresponsible manner. We call on well meaning Nigerians to sign this petition against the NYSC body so they will take responsibility and swing into action in order to find and bring Value Joe Akhigbe back to his family and friends.

You are paying for the experience and not the knowledge.

However, you have to draw a line between different skill levels, the guy is talking more on soft skills and vocational skills. They are very much attainable online, that's why you have so many online learning portals like Udemy, Alison, Lynda capitalising on it in.

Specialised skills like driving, flying, medicals, law, etc can be simulated but like you mentioned, will need professional guidance to fully integrate.

I'm telling you, bro. Most people just sit at home doing nothing. Many people don't know the of knowledge obtainable on YouTube.

My colleagues were paying about 80k to learn web design and development. I used Mtn N25 for 500mb (before it changed to N50) plan every night to download video tutorials on Web coding. That was how I learnt mine, with less than N1000 ( though I'm still learning and practicing).

It was also from YouTube I learnt how build and increase my own power bank capacity. I also learnt how to do some plumbing works, print and customise tee-shirts using household tools/materials.

Many people are so narrow-minded they don't even bother to 'think outside the box'.

I spend more than 10hrs online reading and finding out new things every day. (Yeah, I have a phone with very good battery and monster power bank to help too).

Exactly bro, what has been sustaining me are skills I learnt and enhanced using online medium. Many of my friends I encouraged to do same are doing a lot with less. YouTube is not just for funny videos or movies or music, there are a lot to learn and I have capitalised on it.

My sister learnt both hair making and make-up on YouTube. She's cashing out big, use your money for data subscription (3g will be enough to download lots of make-up videos) and buy make-up kits ... Learn it on YouTube and practice with a friend's face .

To achieve pressure sensitivity using pen tool on mouse;,

*Use pen tool to do your tracing.
*Choose a normal basic brush.
*On the brush preset menu, check "shape dynamics."
*Go back to your pen tool, right click on the work and select stroke path.
*Then check "simulate pressure" on the pop up that follows. Then click ok.


I used pen tool to outline the boy and the man illustrations below. The cartoon character was outlined on flash.
The signature on the illustration was created on coreldraw with mouse ...

It can be done by freehand, you have to set your brush well.

The other alternative is the use of pen tool, this will work well if you are very conversant with using pen tool .

Other ways I explored is with Corel draw and Adobe Flash. They have brush smoothening functions that make your strokes more fluid like a pen pressure. Sometimes I create my outlines over there and save as PNG to work on Photoshop.

I use Photoshop for my outlining. But for the pen pressure settings in illustrator, follow the instructions ( I copied it from a webpage)..



Step 1
Connect your graphics tablet to your computer. Launch Illustrator.

Step 2
Click the brushes icon in the right-hand toolbar to open the Brushes palette window. Double-click the brush you want to use to open its options window.

Step 3
Click the "Diameter" drop-down menu and click "Pressure." Click the "Angle" and "Roundness" drop-down menus, and click "Pressure" for each, if desired.

Step 4
Click "OK" to close the options window and turn on pen pressure in Illustrator.

Tell me if it helps.

Floyd Mayweather has taken his next fight, but it won’t be against a familiar UFC superstar.
Floyd Mayweather’s next crossover fight won’t be against Conor McGregor or Khabib Nurmagomedov.

The undefeated boxer will take on Japanese kickboxing sensation Tenshin Nasukawa in what’s being called a super bout challenge.

The fight was announced early Monday at a news conference in Japan.


Boxing, MMA, kickboxing?

Rules for the fight weren’t announced. We’re not sure if the fight will be MMA, kickboxing or boxing. Mayweather said in the news conference that those details are still being hammered out.

“As far as the weight class and the rules, we’ll get that situated in the next few weeks,” Mayweather said.

Fight to take place New Year’s Eve
What’s not being hammered out is that a fight of some sort will take place between two undefeated fighters.

Mayweather is 50-0 as a boxer with 21 knockouts, and most recently defeated McGregor when McGregor transitioned from the UFC Octagon to the boxing ring.

Tenshin is 27-0 as a kickboxer with 21 knockouts.

The fight will take place on Dec. 31 at the Saitama Super Arena in Japan.

Guy I pass through that road on a weekly basis and what they have in front of the hospital is actually interlocking stones and not coal tar like your image is depicting.

Also those two centre man holes were removed as far back as 4 to 5 years ago sef.

That's not an old pix. The black stuff you see is black dirt from the gutter. I live at Idiaraba and I work inside LUTH sometimes.
The interlocking was done by chapel of transfiguration Anglican church inside LUTH. It reduces the traffic gridlock there but it can't reduce the flooding.

We already know.....it ain't rocket science.
