Google Reader Gives Its Users Till July 15th To Extract Data


Hello,

After Google announced the 'death' of its popular Google reader, it shook the internet with many webmasters and internet users running all about to save their documents.


The Google reader "passed away" with lots and lots of data belonging to you and me.

However, do not be heart broken as Google reader team has provided more time and means for its ex users to get the remaining stuff contained in their data base before July 15th before they finally get deleted from Google's store.

The means provided by Google reader team to help perform this extraction is by use of Google Takeout

So, I plead with you all to please spread out this message to your friends and fellow webmasters before the final closure of Google Reader

Sim Deactivated After June 30? Go Register And Retrieve Your Number Before Sep 28

I know some of us, as a result of strong headedness, being busy, were not able to register their lines before the June 30th deadline announced by NCC.

Lots of people complained that they had their lines deactivated as a result of not registering or completing the sim Registration exercise.

Don't panic!

So now, Affected subscribers can reconnect at any registration point as the Nigerian communications commission has given about 2 months grace again.

Pins, can you compare linda's blog to the likes of TMZ, perezhilton, Thehollywoodgossip and or even Bellanaija and so many others that do just same thing she does but do it better? Although they copy one another, you can still see d uniqueness and creativity in their post. Even some of linda's readers know she does copy and paste. Linda is good at what she does and I aspire to be better than her even!

Facebook Hash Tag Now Working On Facebook Mobile

Remember my post on How To Use The New Facebook Hash Tag ? Maybe I will call this the continuation!


Facebook has finalized or almost finalized its introduction of the use of hash tags. Recently, I noticed the hash tag links on my facebook mobile were clickable and when I tried posting a new post or update, I used the hash tag # and guess what, it worked.

People are beginning to use the facebook feature very much and my facebook timeline almost seemed like I was viewing my twitter link.

It is really a welcomed development into facebooks way of trying to seize and control social media.

Are Our Nigerian Artistes This Stingy?

Nigerian entertainment industry has really grown and many musical acts are ripping the benefits of their labour as it seems, because of the lavish lifestyles they exhibit.

Our Artistes are now being called more often than before for shows and endorsements and have been receiving lots of accolades from their fans and followers.

Not only do they perform in Nigeria, they have also spread their musical tentacles to Africa and across the oceans too, meaning, MORE MONEY IN THE BANK!

Wizkid buying a Porsche... crashing it and then buying another one, Dbanj wearing a $25000 suit for his DKM concert, Don Jazzy sipping on a $1.2M wine, P square chilling in a N400M mansion, M.I cruising in his new Bentley, 2Face taking his wedding anniversary to Dubai...there are so many examples we wouldn't cite in this blog post.

We are not trying to say they shouldn't enjoy their money got from years of hard work but here is the thing, a colleague of theirs, a popular Nigerian producer, OJB Jezreel is needing medical attention as a result of damaged kidneys.

According to OJB, he said the hospital were the transplant will be done needs $100,000 for the kidney transplant procedure to take place.

Before now, a popular Nollywood actress was sick and her Nollywood colleagues couldn't do much to assist her financially but she received medical attention as a result of the donation from the Government of Lagos state...Imagine that?!

Now, people are calling out to Artistes to help save OJB Jezreel and almost a week now, the so called successful artistes are finding hard to raise atleast N10M out of the N16M required for the procedure.

Some artistes have responded after lots of criticism from their fans while we are still waiting for the 'others' to respond.

At first, when I heard OJB needed the medical attention and N16M was required, I was like ''damn, its OJB...he has his fellow goons to help raise the money...that ain't no f**king problem''. However, we are still in shock that the medical procedure hasn't kicked off yet.

Recently, Juliet Ibrahim, although beautiful on the outside seems very dumb on the inside as she recently came out to say kidney transplant can't be more than $50,000, so directly or indirectly saying OJB and his team are just exaggerating the cost of the transplant. How dumb of a statement was that?

Anyways, I hope you artistes can learn to be more generous as we have helped and promoted you guys by attending your shows, buying your albums and giving you endorsements worth Millions.

But still, shout out to those who have already donated, the likes of Don Jazzy, Davido, P square, Iyanya...

Please help save OJB now because if he passes away, MAY THUNDER FIRE ANYBODY THAT DOES ANY OJB TRIBUTE SONG. Our 2cents

Top Five Nigerian Music Websites In Nigeria 2013
Nigeria has really grown a very large presence on the world wide web. Lots of people have gotten popular because if the internet. Many individuals, companies and brands have harnessed the power of the internet.

The Nigerian music is also growing really fast with collaborations we never thought of and I can proudly say I listen to our songs because they now seem to have something to offer ranging from smashing lyrics to ground breaking productions.

Also, Our videos seem like they are second to none. When I say videos, I mean the music videos!
I just decided to share with you all my Top Five Nigerian Music Websites In Nigeria 2013 and I based them on various researches on their alexa ranking, page ranks, domain authority, ease of downloads and uploads and how fast they spill out new music!

As a music lover that I am, after going through my top websites searching for good Nigerian music to download, I usually end up on google search engine to search for any free Mp3. nobody is saying linda should stop blogging on gossip or its likes. All I am saying is that everyone respects her so much so even if she steals posts word for word, people wouldn't actually know because they think she got it first meanwhile she didnt

People call linda linda. I wrote a post on nairaland.com why linda would have failed if she started blogging 2013 and many people attacked me as if I shot the president.

I hope you know linda also copies some of her posts? however, in some of the copied posts, she links back but some she doesn't and no one castigates her Because she has been in the blogosphere.

I respect Linda but for some time on nairaland, what has been reigning is 'why copy and paste'. But no one cites Linda copies some posts too.

Why Linda Ikeji Would Have Failed If She Started Blogging 2013

Blogging! A nice profession indeed if I am permitted to say that. So many individuals enter into 'things' because the other person is doing it and making big cash from it...

Check it! 19 year olds starting their "music career" Because of the likes of Davido, Justin Bieber, Wizkid and others little or above that age range who are known to have made it very big at such a young age..

Same thing in blogging. People are starting blogs because weheardall.com, linda Ikeji blog are all making it.

However, I am here to talk or rather, write about Linda Ikeji. I believe very well that Linda Ikeji is hardworking, smart and most especially...beautiful!

According to Linda, she said she Started making good money from her blog in the year 2011 although she started Blogging earlier than that.

I think some blogs created in the years 2012/2013 are even better than Linda's blog but many of them are still trying to make head ways with their blogs while Linda is raking in big cheques.

However, There are few reasons why I feel Linda would have been a failed Blogger

1. Linda was an ex model! Yes! She tried her hands in modelling and really did well at it. Her modelling career gave her a lot of exposure as she got to meet lots of people, opportuned to be invited to events and all that. With her modelling career, Linda already had presence in the entertainment industry so...

She said she left the fashion stuff after she figured she was getting old and had to give the 'younger girls chance to try their hands in modelling too

In Linda's words

"I started modeling at age 17 in 1998 and quit in 2005.

I modelled for every designer who was actively involved in the Nigerian fashion industry. I travelled to all parts of Nigeria and some West African countries for shows. I featured in several calendars, billboards and TV Commercials."


2. Linda started Blogging when blogging careers all over the world were just starting out. There was not a lot of competition back then. Right now, its no news that almost everybody is trying his or her hands in blogging and all are delving into the entertainment niche even though they can't even speak good english and are not even entertaining at all. They end up copying posts and pasting them on their blogs unedited which is very unhealthy.

3. Linda doesn't write her posts to be targeted by search engines. What I mean is that I am not sure Linda knows anything about search engine optimization. She writes three lines of a post and it receives heavy comments. But now, you can't just write few sentences and expect to get traffic from search engine. I am very sure linda doesn't get much of her traffic from search engines.

4. She has lots of friends in the entertainment industry and so, she is able to get exclusives there by getting back links from other sites which in turn also makes her seem like an authority in the entertainment niche.

By the way, these are not excuses why you shouldn't be a king or queen in your niche even though it were to be the entertainment niche. You can apply some of the things mentioned above and use it for your own improvement.

Linda, I respect you a lot by the way! I respect you for your hardwork. Keep up the good works in your blogging profession! Just saying my mind
