Chelsea’s premier league season started with new signings set to strengthen the team. Mourinho sold a number of players, loaned a few that raised eyebrows. Mata’s sale was a shock sell.
Chelsea bought Costa to bolster their attacking force and brought on Cesc Fabregas to put some spine into their midfield, something he brought. He linked up so perfectly with Costa, Chelsea went on to dominate the league.

They went 14 straight games in the premier league without a loss, until that run was ended by Newcastle, who they lost 2-1 to. Chelsea recorded their second loss in the premier league, when they lost big to Tottenham by a 5-3 scoreline.
Chelsea’s hope of ever securing a treble was dealt a major blow when they lost to Bradford by 4-2. A match that had Mourinho saying he was ashamed. Nevertheless, their 21 games with no loss in all competition is still fresh in our minds.
Chelsea didn’t go far in the Champions League either, as they only made it as far as the last-16. Chelsea did not lose any of their Champions League matches though.
With the season coming to an end, Chelsea have one hand on the trophy and look set to lift it if they win against Crystal Palace later today.
