@poster, to my opinion, i fink bosses being difficult sometimes depend on d attitude of dat staff toward his boss or how he discharge his/her duties might not be to d satisfactory  to dat boss, ok now if i know my duties n i do it  meticulous, so der is no room 4 d boss to scold me, or better still maybe d is trying to see if she can work under pressure or ve a good plan 4her, neva can telllllll,

I would say the most directly relevant certifications to EE are the Cisco certifications. There are Cisco tracks in data internetworking, wireless connectivity, voice over IP, and unified communications.
If you go this route, you are likely to encounter fundamental EE stuff, particularly in the telecom area. And they are certifications you can build on, to pursue a career in telecoms.

Most of the MS and Comptia stuff are more relevant to computer engineers, and are related to support of computer hardware and software, not really EE stuff.
