Atiku has not hidden his feeling that Nigeria's presidency is his birthright. Since 2007, there is no presidential election Atiku has not expressed interest in. In 2011, he aspired as the Northern concensus candidate and lost the ticket to Jonathan. In 2023, he had the best shot. He mismanaged everything after the primaries. His campaign could not directly attack Buhari as he feared backlash from Buhari's followers. He had no campaign theme. He supported Emefiele's naira repainting scheme. He deleted a tweet condemning the murder of Deborah Yakubu. He picked a lackadaisical running mate who had zero value to the ticket. He sidelined Wike. Atiku needs to learn how to work with the enemies depending on who has value. That is an art Tinubu has mastered.

Going to 2027, does Atiku think Wike and those he influences will hand him the ticket in PDP? Right now, Wike's men are controlling the party. If not, why has the party not disciplined Wike?

Atiku may run in Labour Party with Obi or use another platform. He may not get PDP ticket if things continue like this. He needs to seize the party. And he needs to do it NOW!

PDP lost the presidency because of Peter Obi, not Wike.
Wike was inconsequential. If he had supported Atiku, Tinubu would have still won.
If Obi had stayed in PDP and supported Atiku, it would’ve been a different story.

PDP messed up.

First they refused to guarantee an Igbo presidency, which kicked off the train of problems that led to Obi going to LP. That meant the loss of a large portion of southern and middle belt votes that hurt PDP badly.

Second they brought back Atiku. It's not like the guy was even that popular. Party split widens.

Third, they refused to offer an olive branch to Obi while there was still time...same mistake that was made in 2013 with nPDP.

Fourth, they let Kwankwaso go. That lost them 1.5m votes that could have forced a runoff which could have guaranteed a PDP victory.

Fifth, they had no answer to the issues at the state level in many states.

And now, there is the Rivers issue

Anyway, that's how we do politics in this country. When PDP was in charge, the oppostion too was a mess, until they woke up and people started to make sacrifices. I don't know if people are ready to make sacrifices to get APC Out in 2027, when all we see is a divided oppositon.

Love or hate Buhari and Tinubu, in 2013, they both woke up and stopped playing lone ranger. That is how we got APC In 2015, while PDP was busy re-fighting the Nigerian civil war over presidency with TAN members on one side, and nPDP members (some of whom were Buhari symphatisers) on the other side.

Don’t be naive. Atiku was the only chance for PDP to win the election in 2023. He just needed a little support. Look at this 👇

-Wike cannot win the presidential elections if he cannot win the party’s ticket.

-Obi took away PDP votes to LP, so he will still be getting the same number of voters if he had stayed.

-Kwankwaso doesn’t stand a chance, never!

-Atiku is bigger than all of them. That was why it took him nothing to knock them off in the primaries. Remember, they were heavy weights in the party before Atiku arrived.
They all ran away when they should be supporting him as Tinubu did to Buhari in 2015.

- Politics is not a game of sentiments. 2015 was supposed to be the turn of the South but Tinubu stood down because he knew Buhari was his best chance to become President in 2023. He didn’t even accept the vice.
If Tinubu had contested in 2015, both he and Buhari would’ve lost.

PDP has no obligation to hand Peter Obi the presidential ticket. They still don’t.
Even though I hate Wike and still do, at least he fought for the party one time and deserves the ticket more than Obi.
Atiku is the only person that can welcome him back to the party because the loss in 2023 was solely on him. Let him go and continue his campaign to be president in another

I wouldn't say Nigeria is overpopulated since we're not even among the top 5 most populated in the world, the only issue is that we have a comatose industrial sector and there's not enough commercial activities going on.

If we had stable power supply with thriving industries, even foreigners would join the work force despite our population.

Also, government regulations aren't helping matters. A lot of the entrepreneurs trying to provide jobs are being frustrated by poor government policies and multiple taxation, that's why some bosses are frustrated and their staff are not enjoying benefits. If you observe, most of the people complaining here were working for small businesses, whereas they don't know the struggles their own bosses are going through to stay afloat, but I don't condone a toxic working environment.

Our average number per square area is alarming.
