The Kano State Hisbah Board has arrested 648 suspected beggars in Kano metropolis over an alleged violation of street begging law. The beggars were arrested around various Kano streets from February till date. The Public Relations’ Officer (PRO) of the board, Malam Lawan Ibrahim, disclosed this in an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Kano on Wednesday. Ibrahim said that the suspects were arrested at the Bata Area Murtala Muhmamed way, Nasarawa Hospital, Railway Station and Yahuza Suya junction in the city. The savings generated from capital formation can be used for further development purposes; increased rural income may generate additional demand for industrial products. COVID-19: Kano govt to emback on prudent spending, slash 2020 budget by 30% as IGR decline Kano State government says it will adjust its 2020 budget by 30 percent decrease to ensure accomplishment of ongoing projects. The governor of Kano State, Abdullahi Ganduje, made this known during an interactive session with newsmen. The decision followed due to the decline in Internally Generated Revenu (IGR). Kano State Government in its quest to fight Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic has requested a support of N15b from the Federal Government. The application was revealed by Kano State Governor, Dr Abdullahi Umar Ganduje on Wednesday on a Channels Television program, Politics Today. The governor maintained that federal government has not yet support his state with a dime to fight the deadly virus. According to him, the N15bn would be use in paying the voluntary health personnel who’re employed by the state to support health workers, to provide personal protective equipment and also to establish other testing centers. Kano State Road Traffic Agency has announced that tricyclers in the state can now board two passengers at thesame time, this is against the spread of coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic in the state. Nigeria Centre for Disease Control has established Coronavirus (COVID-19) testing laboratory in Kano State. The statement government announced that henceforth all suspected COVID-19 cases of COVID-19 will be tested in the state. The Chairman of the Task Force, Who’s The State Deputy Governor Of Kano State, Alhaji Nasiru Yusuf Gawuna made this known when he inspected the centre at Aminu Kano Teaching Hospital, AKTH. This inspection was contained in a statement issued by the Chief Press Secretary to the Deputy Governor, Hassan Musa Fagge on Thursday and sent to Newsmen.
