Health › Re: NAFDAC Says Ban On Satchet Alcohol Stays, Dismisses Fake Report by zang: 3:05pm On Feb 12 |
FreeStuffsNG: Only the less discerning ould have fallen for the lie.
I knew it was arrant nonsense.
From pevious thread that published the fake news https://www.nairaland.com/8616397/fg-orders-nafdac-suspend-sachet#138434859
You're ignorant. It's NAFDAC that has been helping them to stay till now and already been accused of enabling the public health nuisance the uncontrolled access to sachet alcohol is causing.
The SGF is obviously running his own agenda as it's clear that Federal Government has not stopped it.
NAFDAC has bigger issues and more lucrative sectors than small-scale merchants profiting from a social nuisance.
The SGF is a politician and being economical by suggesting that he's speaking for the Federal Government. He should go to Kano, Zamfara, Kebbi etc and go enforce his own version of alcohol policy since he claims to be speaking for FGN. Smh.
NAFDAC and the Ministry of Health called his bluff in December, this is February, they will still call his bluff again.
The policy didn’t ban alcohol production but insists that it must be from 200ml and above. NAFDAC will not issue license for any product that doesn't conform and anyone producing unlicensed product is committing a crime that the SGF cannot provide cover for.
The SGF, Senator George Akume, had similar problem with his Benue State Governor. He wants to override during process for political gain. He will not succeed in this one.
Ban of sachet alcohol has come to stay and instruments of the law enforcement and regulation will be used to hold everyone to account. Wetin this one dey talk?? So Alcohol below 200ml is not good for the health while the one above 200ml is good. We don’t yet know our problem in this Country. Nafdac is anti APC |

Politics › The Nigeria Armed Force: Take Note Of History by zang(op): 7:03pm On Aug 23, 2024 |
HISTORY ALSO BECONS, AND I'LL NOT BE SILENT: .....The Nigerian Armed Forces history of the unwarranted mass deaths of young and gallant fine officers, none of who attained the age of 40 years died buying from politicians what they could not sell. These military officers died as a result of bad politics from past Nigerian politicians. 1. In the North, there was Ahmadu Bello, Mallam Aminu Kano, Balewa, etc. 2. In the West there was Awo, Akintola, etc. 3. In the East, there was Zik and Sir Francis Ibiam, etc. 4. Midwest, Okotie Eboh & Obas etc. The same NPC government which gladly excised the Midwest out of the West did not deem it fit to attend to the agitation of the TIV for their own Region, instead having failed to subjugate them by the use of anti-riot police action. Sardauna started sending troops to quell the agitation in February 1964. This double standard showed to independent observers like the Army. Sardauna and Balewa government influence NPC not to govern Nigeria peacefully and progressively. But, sought to cut down their political opponents. The Balewa government manipulated the census figures and announced a fifty-five per cent population figure for the North, in other to perpetuate itself in power at the centre. The NCNC of Zik became furious and dissented. Akintola govt in the West as part of Balewa Govt then had cause to be confident of winning the next Federal Election slated for that same year. The TIV of Benue province who where the backbone of the UMBC became more articulated in demanding for their political right, which were denied them by the Sardauna govt. Riots became the order of the day. Sardauna simply used Force to suppress and intimidate them. The TIV people as warriors intensified their political war against the Sardauna government. In 1965, the political situation in Nigeria worsened until the coup of January 15, 1966. Major Kaduna NZEOGWU went for the military suicide bid and sacked the politicians to create room for total peace. Before then, the people of the West were loud and clear in condemning Akintola's government for publicly interfering with the results of the election. Thus"Operation Wetie", and there was total breakdown of law and order in the West. Between 1964 to 1966, more than five hundred military officers and other ranks lost their lives and the eventual start of the civil war between Nigeria and cessessionist BIAFRA. The war ended in 1970. Is Nigeria going this way again? Politicians against politicians, tribal abuses, ethnicity indictment and gains on insecurity. Will the Army allow themselves to be used once again?, another POUND OF MILITARY FLESH?. |

Racoon: I must say the main characters in this epic seat-on-edge film were really impressive especially Ramsey Noah and Chidi Mokem given that they have no military drill background except the ones acquired in the course of producing this movie.
Shot mainly @ Letmauk Barracks, Mokola-Ibadan, Oyo State; the cars, custume, social life and environment setting were just the ideal type given that it was the former 4th Battalion Barracks in the 1960-1970s Nigeria.
All the areas used for the movie were well familiar turfs especially the parade ground that is often used for the WASA ceremonies( I will do a thread on that one day) while my pop served with the army. Shout out to fellow barrack boys and girls folks all over. We rock! We are sons and Daughters of a fighter. Ojo barracks for life |
