my mum recently found a bonus share certificate of nigerian breweries issued in 1980,which she believe she bought in mid 70s.am a bit confused on how to go about this,with my calculation on the various bonuses issued by NB from 1980 till 2004 this bonus unit issued in 1980 has amounted to serious serious money.

1. the name on the bonus certificate is in her madien name.
2. she once tried to locate this share certificate sometimes in the mid 2000s at their registrar office but was told they cant find it because they only started keeping computerised records.she was then referred to a senior management boss but after waiting for 3hours she left the office without seeing him/her.
3. she also remenbered she sold some of her NB shared in 2006,some certificate with her madien name and some with married name.
4. also she never at anytime did a changed of name to any of her shares.some more NB where bought after she got married so she had NB with both madien and married name
5. she uses a broker with no client online service and last made contact or went to the broker office in 2006.(i have checked NSE and this broker is still an active broker on NSE.)
6. she has a CHN with the broker she uses.(am thinking of opening an online access for her with CSCS)
7. she cant get to remenber her madien name signature.
8. she has always sold her share from any company with a share certificate,which means for her to still find this at home,it was never sold.

My question thus is this

How can we locate all her shares in both her madien and married name with NB?
Is it truely possible for a registrar not to locate a shareholder?


Please house how can one resolve this?

just got back from my interview and was highly disappointed i didnt get the NI visa.my advise to the US consular office,i believe it is best you guys start reviewing documents and not just outrightly denying pple visa,saw couple of pple that couldnt speak english well that were denied.i planned on travelling with my family this christmas,my wife and kid already have a visa and have been to the usa twice all paid by me,have never applied for usa visa before (in my entire life) although am not a first time overseas traveller.

i have 2 neice in the usa doing their masters degree fully paid and sponsored solely by me so how come i cant get a visit visa to the country i already spend thousand of dollars in without even stepping into and yet others that counts on my financial sponsorship gets the visa.With what i noticed today,you guy do have a problem with selfemployed pple or businessmen cos i fall into this catergory and was denied as well as most f the other selfemployed guys.You guys should try to understand how most businessmen operate in nigeria.everybody cant be in paid employment.

Also i think you should include in your applicationforms space where pple can write additional information(most advance country do have this part in their forms),so as to explain a little more since you dont look at documents and spend less than 2mins with each applicant.

Honestly am really pained,shocked and felt insulted,Yes i know your country visa isnt anyone right but i strongly believe a lot of pple you deny do deserve it.

Anyway apologies for my rant,here is my question can i apply again this week as we have already booked tickets and paid for disneyland,although have vowed not to apply again till my daughter graduation from uni(she is just 2yrs old lol) but my wife has been on my neck to reapply.my condition is the same but i believe the VO today didnt ask me the right questions to warrant the issuance of the visa but i believe i have enough ties,multiple business interest that employs over 10pple currently,landed properties,and most importantly my family ties in nigeria.

Is it adviseable to reapply?dont want to look desperate.

My question is this,most of my documents till when i was in secondaryschool bears john titi victor,but i decided to stop using the titi name cos i felt it was a feminine name and used sam, so i used john sam victor in all other documents.eventhough recent documents still has the titi name(like recent properties acquired through my parent still has the titi name,cos my mum loves to call me titi),Incases like this where they ask have you been know by any other name,should the answer be yes.bear in mind i didnt have any name change as all names are still my legal names stated in my birth certificate and i still have documents in both name arrangement.

my current international passport has john sam victor.although i used to have previous lost/expired passport when i was much younger with the titi name only used once to europe when i was 5yrs old over 30years ago.
