DonUwaski:
I found the contact of a young entrepreneur online that helps his mum sell packaged dried catfish. He is based in Ibadan and the packaging as well as the fish looks great.

He said it is smoke & sand free and can be shelved for up to 2 months without spoiling. It is also very affordable and seems like a very good business prospect if one can be supplying eatries, supermarkets and retail shops on a regular.

I have negotiated to be a distributor in my environment but I just wanted to find out if anyone here knows how profitable this can be and if there is good demand for this dried catfish.

Please all your comments will be appreciated. Thank you.

The ideal of exportation is quite good but getting the potential buyer is a major challenge. The branding and packaging has to be more explained than that when exporting. At least you can start on a mini export of 30kg and above to a countries where their custom policy allow importation of foreign foods and beverages. You can add me on whatsapp let see how can work together.

I am very sure that you are aware that CBN has restricted the using of Nigeria mastercard card from international payment. The only option I will suggest to is to sign up for paypal and link your card with paypal then make your payment through the card. I can make the payment for you at a black market rate.

I'm not going to blame anyone of you, either you or your brother and his wife.My advice to you is to go back and summit yourself I mean total humble and forget that devil mind which keep on telling you“no gree,no gree” beg him and his wife then after everything has been resolved try and get yourself engage even if it selling of recharge card, income made by yourself matter most, stop been lazy and put all the pressure on your brothers head.It is not easy at the time of Buharinomic.

I do don't do sea freight and according to my colleague in Apapa it always to ship any goods below a full container but I would suggest if you can go to Apapa,Tinca yourself and make your findings maybe you could see any shipping company that can offer groupage.

Alternatively,if you can bear the cost I can give you a reasonable freight rate to the two countries.Check my signature for contact.
