Another Presidential Promise Fails In Less Than 24 Hours. - Peter Obi
I can't stake my ballz for any Nigerian politician. I've not seen one yet. Even this Obi of a man who always criticizes. If he were the president, same could happen and he wouldn't have done shi*t to avert it. Yes, I was in Anambra when he was governor and he wasn't close to the messiah some people are painting him to be.
CultureRe: Things That Were In My Parlour In The 1970s And Early 1980s. by zedman1(m):
Mirasteel:
The good lovely old days
I was expecting this comment, but when I look back, were all these things good compared to what's in use now? See, we even had the privilege of replacing the old black and white TV with a "colour" TV, but that one, there were some times we had to give it a hard slap to reset the colour - lol, a malfunction though.
Most homes then only made use of vegetable oils on special occasions because of the cost. Palm oil was what we mostly used.
Rice, not even the stone-free rice, was mostly prepared on Sundays and on special occasions. Most of us only heard about Uncle Ben's stone-free rice; we neither saw nor tasted it until the early 90's.
If you wanted to visit a friend, irrespective of how far their location was, if you or they don't have a telephone (Land line), just know your journey is a gamble, 'cos you might not meet them at home and you have no one to blame for that.
And to think that we didn't even belong to the lower class then. This was what most people in the middle class experienced. There are things I don't fancy when I look back to those days, particularly during the military era.

Well, as per security, there were more cases of house robbery and road blocks by robbers, yet we could still say it was better then than now, cos there were no bandits, terrorists or mass murder cases as compared to now. A single bad news was heard by almost everyone across the country, whereas today, people carry on like nothing happened even if hundreds of persons lost their lives in a day. There has also been a great increase in moral decadence now, with little to no empathy or sympathy.
In summary, like someone once said, things change, some for good and others for worse but our minds are conditioned to forget about bad thiings of the past more than the good ones. We remember the good ones more, hence the saying " the good old days". So in essence, there's no such thing as the good old days. We just remember the good times of the past.

FamilyRe: My Friend Brought Back His Promiscuous Wife by zedman1(m): 6:21am On Apr 05
adamkkk:
I have this friend that got married on time. It was because the woman was pregnant as at the time and the guy was still in school(200level). So he dropped out of school to become a full time husband. That was the excuse he gave back then.

The woman got him the first child and then the second. My friend was living minimal to support the woman, he even rented a shop for her and spent so much on her(I don't want to talk too much).

One day another married man far older than my friend, approached him and advised him to tell his wife to stay away from his family. Apparently, the woman was dating the other man and when the other man decided not to continue the relationship anymore, the woman(my friend's wife) started threatening him and his wife and was acting jealous. It was that same period that it became known that the woman was dating other men and has been promiscuous for years even though they were not helping her with money. It was devastating.

My friend gave alot to that marriage and just like that, he was betrayed. So after everyday quarrel, she left the house.

It been like over 8 months now and my friend has moved on, i assumed so because he was with another girl that nearly caused issues between us

All of a sudden, he wanted the wife back. I advised her against the idea, but she was bent on doing just that. Some people were telling him to take her back like that. The matter tire me sef. So whenever the discussion came up, i would jejely avoid contributing to the talk.

So to the shock of everyone, he brought her and her load back. I don't want to say what on my mind and what am suspecting and at the same time, i could be wrong.

What do you make of the situation and is there a probable expectations in the future ?

Please let me know.
There are only few types of relationship stories and this is one of them. You'd be surprised there are dozens of relationships with this same story you just narrated. In the beggining, I thought you were talking about my friend. Most men with cheating wives have this same story to tell.

sammiewrite:
Religious associations will not substitute the place of being the kind of human people want to relate with. I mean, religion will not fix a shitty person or a person with major character flaws.

The other five girls you are talking about, maybe you should have tried to start a relationship with one of them to really understand why they were single for that long. I was born into a Christian home and my immediate will be 30 by september without even a boyfriend let alone a husband. I tell you what, though, she is one of the most religious persons I know but with a major flaw: arrogance. She is always right. She don't listen to or take advise from anyone, not even her parents. She doesn't take correction. She never apologises! As a man, tell me how you want to have productive discussions or build with a woman like this.

To an outsider like yourself who don't know about this side of her, you will say my sister is still single because she is a naive church girl who got caught up in her naiveness of romantic relationships.
Yeah, sure. I'll state again, I was only responding to that guy who thinks being "good" is a criteria for finding a husband. It's why I gave that example of that family. The two who everyone gave up on as being wayward were the first two to get married. There are other criteria, one of such examples you've mentioned.

How can such random and unnecessary killings still be going on in this time and age.

How can people be killing themselves for no reason in this time and age.

Something urgent and permanent needs to be done to put an end to this. It's truly barbaric.

We supposed don pass this kind era!
I believe as humans, we have different species. Just like in the dog or cat families, you have varying species. Some are wild, others are domestic in nature. Not all humans you see are of the same species. Some are wild animals but just posses the human form.

See that's the mistake you all use to make, I could trust a hookup girl than a church girl . Trust has nothing to do with decency. Trust is all men needs to love you. If a man can't trust you , they can't love you. And that's why you see some men marrying runs girls... its a deep shit. Just be trustworthy, these church girls have the habit of talking to three men at the same time hoping that if one messes up , they can fall back on the other one , that is usually their number one problem but they wouldn't know. If you want to keep three men at the same time , I hope you have the nerves to tell the three of them about it, because if any of them finds out on their own , the trust is gone.
Perhaps you missed my point. I was only responding to that guy who thinks being a "good girl" is all it takes for a girl to find a husband. I for one never liked churchy or good girls while I was single, though I got married to the first and only one I dated. All I'm trying to say is that being a "good girl" does not guarantee that you'll find a husband. There are many good old single girls out there. These things don't seem to have a particular formular.

It's their making o .... It's impossible for a good lady to lack husband. The number of men looking for a good wife actually out ways the number of ladies looking for a good husband. That's a fact.
The saying " life no balance" appears simple, but there's so much meaning to it. For example, I know a family of eight, all girls but one boy. Now among these seven girls. The first two who got married were the only two who were not "holy" at all. Them tear eye no be small. The other five? They grew old at home with their parents. They were very decent good Christians. In fact, the first and 'holiest' daughter was the last to get married - maybe in her late forties or early fifties then- it was a miracle. Now, was it bad that the good ones were good?

I think many of us have come across some really funny or unusual names that make you pause and wonder what they actually mean.

Back in university, I had a friend whose name was Nigeria. The first time I met him and he told me his name, I was like, “Haaaaa!” 😄 I thought that was the strangest name I’d ever heard until I travelled to the South-South and started hearing names like Natural, President, Government, Manager, Ajalekoko, and more.

I’m sure these names have meaningful stories behind them for the people who bear them.

So tell me what’s the weirdest name you’ve ever heard?

TheWolfen:
who say itel no dey hang again?
I only respect itel for their battery strength
Among these three brands—Itel, Tecno, and Infinix—I started with Itel because of their sound quality while using an earpiece; I'm a music lover. It was far better compared to the other two.
When they refused to increase that 1GB of RAM and fix the hanging issue, I switched to Tecno when they finally improved their sound quality. I have never tried Infinix.
But with the recent improvements from Itel, I decided to give them a try.
I bought the Itel S24 Ultra at 240k two years ago, and I'm yet to see any fault with that phone- no hanging too. The design is so sleek that it always takes an argument for people to believe it's an Itel phone.
