In football, the team that finishes third often feels more celebratory than the one in second place because they ended their tournament with a win, while the second-place team finishes with a loss. However, that doesn't necessarily make third place better than second. "Feeling like" something doesn't necessarily mean "it is" that thing. The boys truly gave it their all and put in a tremendous effort.
