Giwa LGA, Kaduna State – Tension gripped communities in Giwa Local Government Area on Thursday morning following an attack by suspected bandits who reportedly stormed parts of the area at dawn.

Residents said they were awakened by the sound of gunshots as the attackers moved through the community, forcing many families to flee to safety. While full details regarding casualties or property damage remain unclear, locals described the situation as “chaotic” and “frightening.”

According to eyewitnesses, the incident occurred in the early hours of the morning, catching many residents unprepared. “People started running as soon as the gunshots began. We didn’t know where to hide,” one resident shared.
