Hello Nairalanders,

Please, I need advice regarding my cousin’s visitor visa application. She applied in October 2023 through an agent, but since then, there has been no update. The agent keeps saying “nothing yet” and refuses to provide her login details for the IRCC account.

Is there any way for her to check the status of her application herself? Can she recover access to the account or request GCMS notes to know what is going on?

Any advice on what she can do at this point would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!

I hear, visa stamped passport can no long be collected in person. But by DHL ( courier ) and the fee is about N20k.

Who can confirm if this is true.
What if you submitted in Person and based in Lagos , Can you collect in Person ?

. It’s a lie you can collect in person. I submitted mine in person and I collected it in person

. I might be wrong thou But I’m not sure there is a way you can contact them aside from raising a webform and maybe Emails too

I was once denied a visit visa to the united state. Does this has an infect on my student visa application to Canada. I've been so disturbed by this really.

. No it doesn’t affect your application in anyway . I was once denied a b1/b2 America visa visa twice and I still got my student permit visa approved last month to the glory of God .

Eligibility started earlier I think third day after submission of my documents

Biometric updated 8th May
Upfront Medical passed 22th May
Background check running since 29th April
Eligibility Review: Not started at all.

Yeah I used the new portal to apply on April 26 got medical request on the 10th of May did my medical on the 19th of may and it was updated to pass May 22 bvl dropped May 24th then Ppr May 26th new portal
