If you want a super SMART Transformer based inverter, you need spend the money to get it because they do exist.

Some transformer based inverters being sold (mostly the old models) are nothing but just TRANSFORMER + Power Transistor e.g TIP31C (or MOSFET) and a small fancy analogue or digital display.

I have built lots of inverters back in the days that it takes me literally a few minutes. In fact there had been times I did some without a breadBoard. Even at that, should I package it well enough, One could mistake them as imported.

Issue is the so Called professionals we have are after the money, not the knowledge which takes time. Reason I call them HUSTLERs. rarely do they even think outside the box.

I really don't need this lecture, I have more knowledge about all these. Maybe I should clarify myself.
My argument was that transformer based inverters are as efficient as the hybrids based on idle consumption, that's if you get the right one. That's why I quoted him
I don't know the origin of your hybrid vs standalone battle, maybe I chipped in halfway.
I repeat my only argument is some transformer based inverters are now as efficient as hybrids and gone are those days of standalone inverters consuming 100w to 150w on idle consumption.

The fee has been reduced very very significantly from 0.5% to 0.005% (almost zero percent!) in order not to throw away the baby with the bath water and help FG deliver on the purpose meant for the fund.

0.005% on N100k (one hundred thousand naira) for example is a paltry N5 (five naira) and N50 charge on N1 million naira so it makes absolute sense, low and fair enough in my opinion. Most transactions of the poor range between N1k and N100k so the highest a poor person will pay as cybercrime fee is N5 and lowest is 5 kobo!

There's so much at risk so there must be deliberate effort to sustain the security architecture around this crime.
