US and Israel really underestimated Iran. Before they could realise Iran was no pushover, it was already too late.
Now trump is asking the US congress for another $200 billion to continue the war. The issue is why start an unnecessary war in the first place? why kill several of their leaders overnight (that's an insult and also extreme bullying). What happens to diplomatic discussions if you want the petroldollar so bad. You just walk into any country kill their leader and leave them in extreme disorder. They did it to Libya , Venezuela, Iran (sanctions Upon sanctions B4 the bombs) . It's annoying. |

owobokiri: Why should Nigerians allow Dangote, the federal government and the compromised media houses to fool them nonstop on fuel pricing?
How is it that a commodity that we have in abundance locally, together with experienced local hands that have worked in the industry for ages, is being sold at costly international prices?? Why should we use western benchmarks to set petroleum pump prices here??
Somebody is going to quote me and talk as if he is a professor here, but it is all bullcrap. It is a very simple issued made complex by industrial scalle corruption. We don't need to import crude for Dangote to refine. Dangote commissioned his pipelines feom the Niger Delta to his refinery years before the commissioning of his refinery.
So if the crude is local, the labour is local, the refining is local, why am i paying American and European prices I mean Nigeria does not even export up to her OPEC quota! So why can't the cheap labour used to extract hydrocarbon in Nigeria help to lower the final pump price
It is cheap in Qatar, cheap in Libya, cheap in Kuwait. Why must Dangote make it outrageously costly here the same way he did with his cement? We used our crude to collect backyard loans. We don't have crude. It belongs to other people |

Politics › Re: We Want “Electronic Transmission” -- Not Just Uploading Photographs Of Results by zeestone99(m): 7:28pm On Feb 09 |
Gajagojo: The truth is that people are motivated by dishonesty
All this noise is because people want to push a narrative that Obi won and he was cheated because of the technology
I actually believe the technology worked very well last time and that was probably the best election since 1999
Whatever rigging happened was not down to technology
How come neither Obi nor Atiku came to the tribunal to say
See what out agents brought see what INEC published see discrepancies
If you look at the election results of Jonathan in 2011 YarAdua in 2007 and Buhari 2015 there was massive rigging
At some point Jonathan got over 20 million votes Buhari 12 million
Yaradua they did not even bother to give breakdown they just said he won
Then in 2023 total presidential votes 22 million or thereabouts
So that is a good system
About real time transmission. I support that but when you say MANDATORY the question arises What is the consequence of failure to transmit? The logical answer has to be cancel and rerun
Knowing Nigeria that can happen , happen several times then what?
If I know I am losing electionor I cannot win then I will clamour for that
If I can cause glitches leading to failure to transmit and cancellation when it is clear I cannot win I might be tempted
So MANDATORY is just Nsobu Nsobu talk By those who want to scatter the country and who feel bitter about 2023
Let us assume they are totally correct and 2023 was rigged and Obi won
Is destruction of the country the solution
Let Tinubu do his 8 years and go
There is nothing so special that Atiku or Obi is going to bring For Obi it is aboutbethnic belonging nothing more
The real rigging is vote buying and intimidation
The solution
Personally I do not believe Western election style democracy is for us India has good elections China is a dictatorship Which is doing better? We need something more autocratic but not military That can only work when we have one ethnic group and so the solution is to break up
Why was the north silent for 8 years of Buhari? Suddenly they know what good governance is
The same with the Ibose they would have absolutely no problem if Nigeria is as it is now with Obi in charge
So there is your solution split the country or go to a genuinely federal arrangement with decentralization I agree with most of your points but not all. |

Gajagojo: Can starlink Manipulate the process if they wanted to?
The real question no one has answered is this
Did Atiku or Peter Obi when they went to court bring Election results from their polling agents to say the result INEC released was different?
Election rigging happens and all candidates rig but it has little to do with INEC transmission
at the poling booth in an area where a party is strong , there can be vote buying, compromise of party agents , violence and even compromise of INEC staff
My theory is this The government will allow people to make noise about transmission as a means of distraction from the ways that rigging actually happens
Vote buying Violence and disruption in opponent strongholds Strategi. Sabotage e,g officials coming late inadequate materials etc
Those things won't show on Starlink but are real
Money makes a huge difference on Election day Violence does too The chief riggers are the police and security forces They are not neutral
People will complain there was violence we didn't vote but that will never lead to cancellation I understand your point, vote buying is a big issue and people will sel, also violence. What do you suggest can be done |
Politics › Re: We Want “Electronic Transmission” -- Not Just Uploading Photographs Of Results by zeestone99(m): 11:28am On Feb 09 |
fergie001: Unfortunately, we can't force the NASS. Protests, anger and that's where it all ends.
E-transmission of results will be very difficult, though not impossible to implement. The network operators and our telecommunications people have said it's not something they can 100% affirm as we speak. I will also say it is difficult to implement first-hand at Presidential level. We have off-cycle Senatorial and Governorship elections, we can try this then, but to do so at this level is risky.
Getting Polling Unit agents is still the surest and most potent means to curb this. The Polling officers sign and give a copy each to PU agents & the Police. One thing we also forget is that manipulations is usually at the Ward and LG levels, that's where it happens. So, once you have trusted agents, you have started computing before it starts, you already know from the field whether you are winning or losing.
Hope Uzodinma is Governor today, because of the lack of spread of PU agents of his opponents. Anywhere, you don't have PU agents, it will be manipulated for sure. If you don't have PU agents, the Polling Officer will still enter in the "manipulated figures' as they wish. So, put boots on the ground! Is starlink a good substitute for the network operator problem? |
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: I Want Entertaining Football Over Trophies At Liverpool - Slot by zeestone99(m): 10:09am On Feb 05 |
GpSarz: Liverpool manager Arne Slot has said that producing exciting, attacking football means more to him than simply winning trophies at Anfield.
The Dutch coach reflected on last season’s Premier League triumph, explaining that the manner in which his team played brought him as much fulfilment as lifting the title itself. According to Slot, success is not only measured by silverware but also by how enjoyable a team is to watch.
He said a manager may win major honours such as the league, domestic cups or even the Champions League, but creating football that excites supporters is, for him, the ultimate achievement.
Slot acknowledged that some fans may not completely share his view, but stressed that his philosophy remains firm. He explained that he wants his teams to dominate possession, play with intensity and give supporters something to enjoy every time they come to the stadium.

EponObi: Alex Otti is not a top tier governor. You can see this with the quality and types of projects he did in Abia.
The issue is Abia was getting zero, literally zero, governance for decades so much that Otti's bare minimum governance seemed like heaven on earth. Their last governor was proud to say on national television that his administration gives 500 naira to nursing mothers after deliveries - Abia had it that bad. So a new governor coming in to construct street roads looks like he's a messiah from heaven.
Otti is not among the best but he's far better than his predecessors. I see. |

And again I say, if there a car, it's to be used by the family, and let me say this, no matter how careful one is, if an accident will occur, it won't be because you're careful or careless!! So whether it's the man or wife, it may happen! Why deprive yourself or family?? What if the car is dangerous for the family and can put them in danger. Is that a good reason or you will still go ahead and find out? |

jaszplus12: Sir your arguments are logical, but we all know that good or bad drivers still get involved in minor to major accidents but does that mean we shouldn't drive again? No, if you follow my statement, I blamed both sides but like I mentioned, IMHO, I'd rather my family are in a car than on okada...no, I never said the man is poor, we all have our priorities and I speak as a man with vast experience... Whatever reason the man had for taking away the keeys we respect that but I still say, leaving the keys are better than going away with them. Just my opinion... All you said is true but you have not factored reality. Any small bashing in this economy is money. Money that would have sorted other bills. When you look at it from the angle of a family that's just doing ok and can't afford any gbese. You will understand. |

jaszplus12: Hmmmm...have we said so? So because he or she had lived without a car in the past, he or she should also not drive the car regularly? Then they should continue to just live without the car! What's the point buying one when you will then resort to using your feet or okada!! If you own a car then you should know there many reasons for such situations. Are you married? Do you have kids? It's easier to talk about marriage as a single man or woman. The man must have his reasons best known to him. What would you have said if the wife have an accident with the car and injuring the kids. The only reason a man will take his keys is if you are a stubborn person. I use to be like that. I could drive but was not perfect, I drive my dad's car when I was still a sec school student decades ago, at first he warns me not to take the car and I still take it anyway and bring it back with small small scratches until I hit the corner of the fence while trying to enter the compound. I didn't pay a dime in maintenance or repair. Not to talk of this present age, I won't allow U drive until you are good enough or I have the funds for repair or pay people that you got Thier car damaged by hitting them. If he had such funds he won't be driving a corolla. |
Family › Re: Woman Defends Husband After Critics Slammed Him For Traveling With Car Key by zeestone99(m): 9:39am On Oct 03, 2025 |
jaszplus12: Give her a break, for me I see two things here, the man no matter the circumstances should leave the keys behind just in case. There may be a fire, or situation that warrant the car being moved to avoid loss. Warn the woman to make sure only moved in cases that's emergency. He may think he's saving cost but i don't know how much he will save if something happens while kids are riding on okada to school...safer in the car being driven by their mum if she's able to drive. Why risk your family on careless okada. My first car was for wife to drive kids to school while I hustled to obtain mine. For the woman, it's just embarrassing that she can post this about her husband. Even if she's from a broke background and never owned a car, levels have changed and she is posing and posting, unfortunately not in positive light if I may say. So it's all about them, but to me, the man should leave keys behind anytime he's travelling, one day he might bite his tongue in regret. The way y'all are talking it's like there's no life for family without cars cos how would they save themselves. What if they didn't have the car, the children and wife will not live good life? |
Family › Re: Woman Defends Husband After Critics Slammed Him For Traveling With Car Key by zeestone99(m): 9:36am On Oct 03, 2025 |
We4all: The man is selfish for allowing his kids to hop on a bike when he has a car. What stops him from teaching the woman how to drive or even getting a driver to do the job in his absence?
The woman is stupid for posting about it to her followers and then make a u-turn to defend the man. What if there is a medical emergency that requires one of the kids to be taken to the hospital at midnight? If you provide and pay for a driver, it's not bad. Show workings |
