Family / Re: The Diary Of An Unborn Child. . . by Zenakoboko(m): 12:42pm On Jul 13, 2011
May God give us the grace to realize the enormity of our actions.

"Thou shalt not kill" , means exactly that!

Abortion is murder, we have various means of preventing conception, use any! But aborting a zygote, foetus, baby, etc. shouldnt be encouraged (so many people are out there looking for a child, they will bless you all their lives if you let them have this baby that you do not want). Yes, in our society 2day you may encounter opposition, aggression, probably suffer some stigma but remember the Almighty (who watches over us all).

Please recognize the right of the unborn to life, we shall all be answerable for our actions or inactions.

Pls let us pray for our generation, our values have changed cos of our time, fashion, beliefs, hobbies etc.

NYSC / Corpers Set To Smile As FG Reviews Monthly Allowance To 19,800 by Zenakoboko(m): 8:41am On Jul 12, 2011
Oga Presido Ebele Jonathan has again shown interest and recognition for the youth of our nation by increasing the NYSC allowance (allowee) by over 100%. The former allowance was 9,775 and the new allowance will now be 19,800.
This increase is retrospective to March 2011, so the batch B corp members who have just passed out in early July would be paid theirs in arrears.

Yes, it can't happen without collateral damage and I don't care whether you and me are part of sacrifice. Nigeria can't continue in this direction of self-centered. Bomb Them All.

We refuse to be part of that kind of radical and senseless misdirected sacrifice by those cave men (boko haram).
Na ur papa compound dem go bomb next, since innocent lives mean nothing to you.
Family / Re: I won't marry you cos your mother has "Cancer" by Zenakoboko(m): 2:45pm On Jun 16, 2011
before this post becomes a free-for-all fight, let's begin again by going back to the basics (begininning by asking fundamental questions):

1. Did he r, ape her or were they having consensual intimacy?
2. Were they just having unprotected consensual intimacy without knowing the implication? Didnt she know there could be a child and no marriage plans?
3. Did he promise her marriage or did he say he wasnt ready and she decided to trap him (get him ready) instead of losing him?
4. Did he accept responsibility of the pregnancy or did he just invoke the parents gist?
5. What is his say in all the events and development so far?

Loving under duress, can be an arduous task for both the loved and the lover.

Our police and military should be on high alert for these archaic people who call themselves Boko Haram. They want to take this country back to their own ancient times. Fighting to keep Nigeria in the dark. For dem, nah backward ever, forward NEVER!

Career / Re: My Cousin Is Being Compelled To Resign Her Job Due To An Unfriendly Bank Policy by Zenakoboko(m): 9:57am On Jan 25, 2011

@poster
- did she get to read her contract before she signed it?!
- didnt she know at the time that her brother had been working for 3yrs already for that same bank?

She read the contract properly and there was no section, sentence or clause on non-employment of relatives. This policy is an addendum (update) on the previously existing bank policy on marriage which was in place as at the time of her recruitment so her brother working in the bank did not matter to her at that time.
Family / Re: Husband Slapped Me Over An Argument by Zenakoboko(m): 4:55pm On Jan 24, 2011
Well, sex is not the only problem, it is the last problem, the main problem is his anger as he usually twists my arm whenever he is angry and thats a pattern, sometimes he hits me when he is angry, not in a manner that might bruise me but its humiliating nonetheless. And he is angry whenever i complain for a long time and try to argue for long time (say more than half an hour),  long accusations make him so angry that he loses all control

You have to STOP nagging. All men hate it! Just grow up my dear, this is marriage; 'tis no longer boyfriend and girlfriend kind of relationship. angry angry
Career / My Cousin Is Being Compelled To Resign Her Job Due To An Unfriendly Bank Policy by Zenakoboko(m): 11:44am On Jan 24, 2011
My cousin works in Skye bank and she was home for Xmas. She has been highly depressed as she is about to lose her job. She has to resign though unwillingly from this her current job based on an addendum to an existing policy in the bank which states and I quote:

“The bank shall not employ relatives. A relative is defined here as father, mother, sister, brother, husband, wife, son, daughter, grandfather, grandmother, grandson, granddaughter, nephew, niece.”

According to her, a recent email reminder states that this policy would come into enforcement from January 2011. She actually has a biological brother who is married and works in a different region of the same bank. She has worked for less than two years while he has for over five years. She has neither received a query or a warning and she is quite diligent with her work. She has widely consulted amongst her colleagues and there seems to be no other solution in sight.

Please, while I hereby solicit assistance/help of any kind including advisory and guidance for her.
I would also like to ask:
What does the bank plan to achieve with this unfriendly policy in a country of 150million people?
Has she any legal window to escape and ensure the enforcement of this policy does not affect her (as she repeatedly said that she cannot remember being asked to sign any document that enquired about having a relative at the point of being recruited/inducted)?
