In as much as I don't like calling people out, what Captain777 gave us here was a cock and bull tale. Without being apologetic, that guy looks like a pathological liar with the way he framed the story and majority of us swallowed it but many thanks to those with the scrutinizing and probing minds. So many candidates with similar or more intimidating credentials are yet to be called. That sounds like a generalization but to be specific, I know a candidate here that studied all on full scholarship: B.Sc(1st class) , MSc (Distinction) and PhD (in view) and interview was very tough and great (aced almost all the questions).

Back to the headlines for today,
I just want to state emphatically that Mr. Shakur and his team have an hidden agenda. "If truly he fought for the commoners in this recruitment and he sacrificed another 100 slots to the stakeholders just for the masses as widely claimed.
Why has he failed to notify all the successfuls (long-legged and merit) concurrently? Considering the fact that it is possible to notify and even instruct the merit successful to come in 2weeks for APL collection and that gives us assurance. I want to believe there is no justification for the delayed notification after all the 'gods' have been appeased with 50% of all the recruitment slots. Logically, it is either there is no merit list at all or the list is very close to the carpet waiting to be swept.
I totally agree that our voices must be heard but we must be strategic (timeliness, information, media).
Finally, thanks to everyone (Nerverdown, Pressurization, Marvel, Dozylala, Acmilan, Ferguson, HRTech, Wiz, etc) for their information and contribution.

I have just collected my apl at Maiduguri zonal office of Dpr. I don't care if you believe it or not. For your information, 3 of us receive it this morning at the zonal office. I overheard one of the staffs[b] saying "this boys are gurus ooo.." the statement caught my attention so after collection I reached out to the other two guys to ask them few questions. Both are GTs, 1st class students with masters both. And both received the same calls almost the same time yesterday. Let me tell you few things about myself personally. I also finished with 1st class, had Master's and currently running my PhD program. I have registered with two professional bodies. The Aptitude test was very easy for me, I am very sure I scored more than 95%, my interview was tough, they asked me too many questions and I was wrong in some of them.

I wish to say more especially what happened at the zonal office today with photos proofs, but too many negativity in this room. So yeah, believe it or not, it's your cup of tea. Thank you. [/b]

This afternoon around exactly 2:32pm I received a call from Dpr to come and pick my appointment letter tomorrow at the zonal office. I was very shocked because my interview was tough. I didn't answer all the questions. I don't know even the gate man of Dpr. Infact reading your comments that stakeholders have collected makes me totally loose hope. Because I know the son of a common man will not succeed In a competitive recruitment like this. Alhamdulillah I give all thanks to Allah. And I hope others receive the same call. I will reveal more after I collect my letter physically from the zonal office. Allah Nagode maka, Allah yakarawa annabi daraja.

This recruitment is marred by an unacceptable level of unprofessionalism, discrimination, disrespect and bias . The DD Corporate Services and his team did not try at all.
A few connected candidates got their APLs via the backdoor and even 24 hours later, there has not been any official communication to other candidates. This alone demerits the whole process. Even if I get the APL now, the fact is that DPR has tagged me a 2nd class citizen in my own country.
Then, we can infer that the tests and interviews were just to fulfill all righteousness when in actual sense the vacant positions had been allocated to the 'anointed' candidates long before the advertisement of vacant positions. So, why take everyone through the rigor of test and interview when they will not count. The least I can say is this is needless and baseless.
