Zaheertyler: Lol Nigerian hunger is caused my human mistakes and we are solving it sir by Gods grace we will overcome the temporary challenges
It’s not like your own country is perfect ooo Solve the hunger problems in your own country My friend hunger in South Africa? , you are joking. You must wake from the dream. All government schools in South Africa have feeding schemes and community members are allowed to come and eat if they starve. |

Kindly may you advise South Africans with what they can donate to help their fellow brothers and sisters. Your responses will be published on South Africans online medias. |

Gerrard59: When Nigerians write the bold, they mean that black people cannot develop a functioning society. Is that what you think? If I were a South African, my response to that narrative would be: how come you people, the most populous black nation, cannot develop your country to put to shame the narrative that Europeans developed South Africa? Wow wow, what a good response. I really like what you just said. |
Politics › Re: Why Nigerians Like EPL By South Africans by zhike(op): 9:03pm On Oct 12, 2024 |
Gerrard59: Abdicating blame needlessly. How come South Africans did not abandon their league for the EPL since Multichoice is an SA company? It is also an Anglophone nation with even stronger historical ties to the UK/Europe than Nigeria. So the excuse of language is out of the window.
The English are better advertisers. Let's accept that fact. I agree with you. Although English are better advertisers, Nigeria govt must push back. In South Africa one of the main reason south Africans are not following Epl is simply because govt pushed back. Is rear to hear government radio stations and TVs talking about EPL in SA. |
Politics › Re: Why Nigerians Like EPL By South Africans by zhike(op): 8:58pm On Oct 12, 2024 |
Gerrard59: Simple: The Nigerian league has football teams owned by various governments, and structures have not been put in place to allow seamless operations as in South Africa. As a result, private companies are not interested in investing in a league where state government teams participate and the Ministry of Sport has a say in its affairs. Lastly, South Africans have higher disposable income than Nigerians to indulge in outdoor sporting activities as spectators.
Solution? Privatise the league. Ban government owned teams. Have an independent body heading the league. Most importantly, Nigerians have to be rich. Thank you for the nice recommendations |

South African universities are one of the best universities in the world. SA universities have lectures from all over the world because their intentions is to be able to produce the best research.
The problem is that most of the South Africans after their degree, they are able to get good jobs and most of them don't continue with school until PhD. The problem is that to be lecturer you must have PhD and due to that universities are in demand for lectures.
Unisa VC Mrs T Meyiwa thanks Nigeria for giving South Africa more lectures and she is still asking for more lectures from Nigeria. Let's build Africa Guys |

zombieHUNTER: You can't root out corruption and infrastructural decay only in sports.. that's not possible
It has to be an all out war on corruption in all sectors by the authorities, which Nigeria is very far from under the present administration..
We are stuck with a president whose jobless wife and son donates 1bilion naira for school landscaping and trailers full of rice 🤣🤣🤣🤣 I agree with you, but we must have a starting point. One step at a time. Where could be our starting point to make Nigeria a better country. As Nelson Mandela said Africa needs a working Nigeria in order to prosper. |

weslay: Nigerians love football. Most Nigerians go out to watch street football in their area on Saturday mornings, watch football across European top leagues, but won't watch their own local league. The reason is corruption and mismanagement. The last time I went to Ogbe stadium in Benin to see a NPFL match, the referee gave three unjust penalties against the visiting team who were leading 1 nil at the 90th minute. Two of those penalties were converted and the home team won 2 goals to 1. All the protests from the away team fell on deaf ears and they were bullied out the stadium by the home supporters.
This is the reason why most Nigerians don't know the top goal scorer of their local league this past season, but they know the top ballers in their hood and the top goal scorers across European leagues.
A lot has improved since that time but our perception of the league hasn't changed much I like your honest truth. Missions of Nigeria should be to root out corruption on local league, so that local league could be better and have many sponsors, jobs will be created in Nigeria. |

Medipharm: Before nko, is anything European not better? If you believe otherwise, you are deceiving yourself. Only bitter souls like South Africans will argue otherwise. We are not complaining, even with that we are not doing badly in continental competitions, are we? Face your self centered county and leave Nigeria and Nigerians to whatever taste they decide, it's a personal thing. Meanwhile, FYI, An average Nigerian epl club fan has a Club in Nigeria he or she loves more than how he loves his EPL club, Fact. For instance I love Liverpool FC like there's no other club in the world but You see Enyimba fc, that club is like a Culture to me The problem is that we must always put economy first, if Nigerians are not investing in their economy, Nigeria will be poor and they will be a burden to South Africa. |

Difrent: Is it not your South Company, Multichoice that spoiled Nigerians with foreign soccer? Like someone said, before EPL became so easily accessible Nigerians troop to local stadiums to watch local matches but with the advent of Satellite tv, Nigerians went crazy for European football for the main reason that with little amount you will have access , those that's can't afford a decoder have numerous viewing centers they can watch from with little money
NPFL is not a bad league, it just needs professional managers if not it's products won't go on to become world class players when they get exposed to foreign leagues I like your perception. All South Africans have access to EPL via dstv or internet, but because government is pushing of local league people opted for local league. Yes, you can learn from EPL and implement on Nigeria league and very soon you will enjoy your local league. The problem very soon you will be crying racism with the league you sponsor with your money. Let's build Africa guys. |

ednut1: Before EPL became easily accessible Nigerians went to stadium to watch shooting stars, abiola babes, ranges, Bbc lions of gboko etc. how easy was it to watch Nigerian league vs EPL
South Africans are able to watch their league on DSTV easily plus they have good investments there. How come none of our billionaires have invested like the likes of Abiola and others did in the past
Plus Nigerians league today is not interesting, kick and follow football by muscular men, shitty stadium etc. You are correct. one of the big investment to local league is to watch it on TV, TVs will make lot of money on advert and fund the league. What Nigerians should do is to go to stadiums, watch their league on TV, sponsors will follow. |

Patrickker: You won't tell Nigerians what to love. Nigerians go for standard (whatever is good, better or fashionable). The EPL is arguably the best league in the world. From TV coverage to sponsorship to organization to financing to fanbase to passion, name it. Africa still has a long way to go. VAR introduction for instance, greets us with that gap I am talking about. We put our money where are hearts are. Thank you. Here is the ordinary thinking of Nigerians which is wrong and need to be corrected. If you watch EPL by paytv, you are making it more rich. Now in Nigeria there is hunger because you are taking money that should develop industries in Africa and you give it to England. Next time you will say English are rich and forgot that you funded them. The moral of the story if you believe and support your local league it standard could improve and be better than EPL. South Africans are well taught to support local although they all access to EPL, they opted for their local league. |
