FYI the children of Legal permanent residents prior to 2012 or 2015 I believe were granted citizenship because of the permanent status of their parents. Your xenophobic Home affairs DG and Minister ran to the courts to stop this and the courts ruled per articles in the constitution at that time that citizenship of the child should follow that of their parents until they reach the age of Majority at which if they choose could apply for South African citizenship .

You are taking a wrong angle, Chidimma's mother does not have legal documents to be in south africa.
Forget about citizenship or permanent resident.

But i understand, in Nigeria law does not work. Chidimma competed without Nigerian document, she even jumped the process of joining Nigeria miss universe. I feel pity for Nigerian girls who wanted to be Nigeria miss universe.
