Most Nîgeriàns don't dream of going abroad.
Most Nîgeriàns just like every hûmañ being on earth wants to travel and see places not going to stay abroad.
I for one has ÑÈVÈR harboured the dream of going to live in Europe, America or any other part of Africa.
Comparing football leagues is another lame form of statistics.
Do u know the quantity of Americans that watch EPL as compared to their MLS?
Does that mean they want to leave America?
Brazilians watch their league with passion does that mean Brazil is far better than England?
Sports development is d difference.
Let’s teach you, sports makes lot of money from tv rights. The more lot of people watch Nigerian soccer, the more Nigerian league will have lot of money.

Don’t lie dreams of most Nigerians is to leave Nigeria, how many Nigerians are held hostage in Libya and other European countries in search of green pastures.
How many Nigerians are attacked in India, China and South Africa but they refuse to go back.
Stop lying and accept Nigerian problems.

But u come on Nairaland everyday?
When u guys talk u give the feeling that the UK góvèrñment is a bunch of saint that gives the people alot of hope whereas reality is that many people crîtîcîze the government on daily basis.
If u can't discuss Nigèria u shouldn't be on Nairaland.
Hahaha, what is wrong about coming to Nairaland?
You are wrong my friend, I am sure you have Facebook or Twitter Account but you don’t stay in America. Stop been childish.
No one said in a good state people don’t complain.

I won’t bring myself down to the gutter level of arguing with illiterate South Africans. Maybe they can be discussing with their mates who are Almajaris frim Niger and Chad Republic begging in the streets of Lagos
You miss a point no one want to argue with you, South Africans stated their points and state your point also.
I won’t entertain the part where you compare South Africa and chad because you know the truth

Wrong assumptions, some of us only want to travel as a form of education, to have a wider view of life outside our immediate environment. The percentage of japa is even low compare to the population.
That is the problem, why you don’t want to study in Nigeria, do you undermine Nigeria education system?
Learn from South Africans, they don’t have plans to go outside South Africa for whatever reasons.

You deserve a cold beer for this statement you made.

They always believe whatever they watch on bbc, cnn, and co.

He purposely left out the part where Nigerians support each other organically. Religious and ethic clashes are just tools used by politicians
Pls explain more about Nigerians supporting each other organically so that I can understand.
Which kind of support are you referring to?

The solution to every problem is to first realise the problem itself, everything you said up there is nothing but the truth about Nigerians. How can you promote your economy when we don't invest or plan locally to improve our environment. The mindset of Nigerians is so corrupt and full of negativity towards themselves and the country.
I 100% agree with you, I wish many Nigerians can think like you.

Another ignorance

Nigerians have NIN linked to you
As per United Nations statistics, not all Nigerians have ID numbers.
Check report from UN.

If all Nigerians have IDs, it means Nigerians IDs are not up to standard

Ignorance and western media influence

This isn't Nigerians image, it's the perception the media like you to see

63,000 people lost their life in 8years out of 200m... Compare that to how many people got killed in American Gun violence, or SouthAfrican street gangs violence

Nigerians have Millions of graduate who attended local University with pride, many serve the country yearly.... The few elite that get their kids to Europe do that because of Classism and wealth

Nigerians Work anywhere there is Job... Gambia, Afghanistan, even Russia and Ukraine

.
in South Africa specifically in Cape Town less than 50 people get killed by Gang violence in a year. again we cannot talk about statistics because Nigeria does not have proper stats. for example we don't know the exact population number of Nigeria, because of Nigerians don't have ID numbers.

You keep giving excuses without backing factual data

I stay in Ibadan a town with 5 million people.. and if you give me this kind of stereotypes because of CNN crap, I just laugh

Some like sports some don't, some want to travel aka Japa some don't

Diversity in Nigeria is huge
The only way Nigeria can succeed is to push every Nigerian to be patriotic, because those that are not patriotic are costing the country.

Seems you v to grow up & know how to contribute sensibly to post. Wetin concern Tinubu with this matter?
Op, not all you mentioned are true. Nigerians are experiencing poor economy. If all things are right, we all prefer home-made, home based, in short locals to foreign.
Kindly may you specify which one is not correct?
The economy status will not change as long as Nigerian don't change their mindset. to buy local, to watch local soccer, to watch local movies will benefit Nigeria economy.

Op, Nothing can be done.

You can't vote corrupt politicians into power and expect them to fight the same people who gave him power.

You can't bite the fingers that fed you.

The reason why Tinubu is turning his back on Ganduje this early is because he did little or nothing to give him the expected votes from Kano state. And that's what would've played out if we voted a neutral person to lead this country without the support of the little fraction of the corrupt politicians.

We have "hell-years" to endure and to enjoy the suffering.
the hope is that someone neutral should compete for election in future, someone not linked to political parties.

You shouldn't blame a Nigerian who prefers "the abroad" than Nigeria.

I am happier living here in the UK than Nigeria because unlike people in the UK, Nigerian have no faith, no confidence in the government and it's institutions. The government on the other hand do not care to build confidence in their citizens but are exploitative and oppressive.

Worst is the known fact that Nigeria and Nigerians are corrupt to the superlative degree. Since law and order are selective, money and the rich worshipped and a wide disparity exist between the rich and the poor, situations like the ones you listed will only continue.

In fact, I have got better things to do than discuss Nigeria!
Thanks for been honest about your views. if all Nigerians can accept this facts like you do, Nigeria will be better in years to come.

Nigeria is a country of 200,000,000 people... Most stuff you see on the media is just the foreign perception

Hardly would you go to Nigerian cinemas and see patronage of American movie than Local movie, same as our music

Also about weaves ... Many ladies don't even have them, Northern Nigerian women are infact completely different from such stereotype
The reason North Nigerian ladies don’t wear weaves is because they don’t like them or they don’t have money to buy them.

About music and movies, I beg to differ.
Tell us about soccer? Do they prefer local also?

My friend do not argue with the facts, accept reality and try to deal with it.
Most of the Nigerians dreams is to go abroad for green pastures and it needs to change.

For example how many Nigerians watch Nigerian soccer league compared to EPL.

Nigerians mindset needs to change, and the first thing to do is to accept the problem
PoliticsNigerians Mindset By South Africans by zhike(op):
Nigerians kill each in the name of religion and tribes.
Nigerians prefers European schools than Nigerian schools
Nigerians prefers to work in Europe than in Nigeria
Nigerians prefers Europe hospital than Nigerian hospitals
Nigerians prefers to watch European soccer than Nigerian soccer
Nigerians prefers American music than Nigerian music
Nigerians prefers American movies than Nigerian movies
Nigerians prefers to bleach Their skin
Nigerians ladies prefers to wear weaves to look like Indian or whites
Nigerians prefers to arab hijab thaN their Nigerian cloth.
Nigerians prefers to buy products from overseas
Nigerians prefers to buy products on informal market , and they don’t pay tax
Nigerians prefers foreign religion than their traditional religion

What can be done to improve Nigeria, everything listed above has direct link with Nigeria economy.
This list was provided by group of Zulus based in Durban.

A very big thank you to you Seun! I want to appreciate you Seun and your moderators for swinging to action and doing justice to a malicious, hate, envy and inferiority complex driven thread that was opened here last night by one nonentity, Zhike from South Africa to malign Nigeria and her people.

It is our duty to continue to defend Nigeria against attacks by any nonentity, home and abroad, that tries to undermine and debase our country.
An attack on Nigeria is an attack on the black race, because the extrication of the black race from the manacle of any form of slavery lies on our shoulders and until Nigeria gets it right the black race has no future.
In the words of Nelson Mandela: "The world will not respect Africa until Nigeria earns that respect.
The black people of the world need Nigeria to be great as a source of pride and confidence."

Even if we are not happy over the abnormalies going on in Nigeria, we should never let a nonentity to debase our country.

We are the GIANT OF AFRICA, not because of our population but because of our human resource which is our greatest asset.
The likes of Wole Soyinka, Chinua Achebe, Ngozi Okonji Iweala, Chimamanda, Dangote, Fela Kuti, Burna Boy, Tiwa Savage, Davido etc can only be found in Nigeria.
The most enterprising young folks in the world are also Nigerians.

First of all you you have one of the great social platform in the world, but don’t allow people with short temper to drive you in the wrong direction.

Pls allow this platform to be a good platform for discussion without fear, favour, bias and prejudice.
Before you cancel the thread read what is written in it and understand before you cancel. Don’t just listen to the complains and cancel.

In order for Nigeria to progress , Truth about Nigeria needs to be told and accepted
