Nwadiuto247: The northern group have succeeded in telling the world that Buhari is not the president of Nigeria rather he is the president of APC. Quite a shame.
Every Nigerian has right to demand anything from government irrespective of the party the person voted for. It is idiotic for the northern group or anybody to think otherwise.
Buhari took oat of office to rule Nigeria well not APC.
Shame on those who believe otherwise.
On the other hand Ohanaeze should not be be political Ohanaeze has the right to ask for anything from Buhari while Buhari has the right to refuse them. Full Stop. |

Politics › Re: Proof That INEC Did Not Use Server For Result Transmission by zibya: 8:18pm On Jun 16, 2019 |
OfficialAPCNig: Being a zombie sucks.
Yakubu just admitted there is server. It is not possible that INEC won't have a server, even if it is a shared server.
Nairaland has a server, every website in this world is on a server, your email is on a server, a simple cyber cafe has a server.
Jamb has a server, banks have a server, INEC has a server. We don't care whether it is dedicated or shared, it is that server we want to inspect.
Unfortunately for zombies when you delete data from a server, it leaves digital footprints. The server INEC was referring to is the one Atiku claims to hold the authentic election results. That particular server does not exist. INEC most certainly has a server but there are no Atiku fabricated results on them because INEC doesn't transmit results electronically |

Lovelyn451: take a bus to kano first, kano has direct routes to all these small northern states katsina, Jigawa, bauchi, and Gombe. you might not get buses from lagos to these places wrong advice. He should go to kaduna cos it's the closest state to katsina. If you go to Kano you'll still have to travel at least 200km to get to Zaria and then katsina |

Crime › Re: Punishment For Buying Stolen Phone In Lagos By Police by zibya: 9:19pm On Jun 15, 2019 |
goldcoinhub: The Lagos State Police Command’s spokesperson, DSP Bala Elkana, has revealed the punishment that will be meted to whoever buys a stolen phone in Lagos.
While enlighten Nigerians on the consequences of buying a stolen phone, Bala said the minimum sentencing for offenders is 7 years and the buyer will get more jail years than the thief.
According to him,
“Under our laws, it is quite a serious offence for one to buy stolen phones. The law even regards the buyer to be more culpable than even the thief. The punishment is more for the buyer than the thief. The wisdom behind that is to discourage people from stealing because if there is no market where they would sell those stolen things, they would not steal them but because they have a ready market, they easily steal.
“This is why the law makes the punishment stiffer for the buyer. The person who steals may get three years punishment, while the buyer could get seven years imprisonment and at the end, he will lose the property once we trace it to him. For a person to avoid buying stolen property, it is advisable that he buys things in the open market and not on the street or people who are just passing and not dealing in such wares.”
Explaining how a case of purchasing stolen phones can be checked, Elkana said:
“The most important thing when we charge a buyer to court is to look at whether he has knowledge that that thing he bought was a stolen property. How do we test the knowledge? What is the market value and how much did he buy it? If the market value is N100 and you buy it N10, automatically, you will know that you are buying a stolen property.
Secondly, we would check where he bought it. Was it in a regular market where such items are sold or he just bought it on the road from somebody?
“That is enough for him to know that he is not buying something that is genuine. Thirdly, we would check the time of the day that he bought the phone. These are important things we look at when we are investigating to check whether the person has knowledge that the phone was stolen or not.”

Politics › Re: Why Did Atiku Not Get Over 1 Million Votes In Rivers And Delta States? by zibya: 5:06pm On Jun 15, 2019 |
Splashme: The military and security agents restricted voting in those states and SE states too..
I guess they targeted states with huge Igbo populations because the military did not place restrictions in other South South states like Bayelsa, Akwa Ibom and Cross Rivers and Edo
I was in Rivers State during 2019 elections and can tell you it was like war. The military patrols were like scenes from the Nigeria civil war
It was in the news na ... or where did you travel to?
Imagine, Rivers and Katsina states have the same number of registered voters (3.2m each). But Katsina recorded 1.5m voter turnout while only 700k could vote in Rivers.
Delta State has about 3m registered voters while Borno state has 2.3m. Doesn't it surprise you that Borno turned out almost a million votes while Delta could do just a little over 600k?
Delta State voters prefer to sit at home and drink ogogoro while the Borno people queue under the hot sun to vote |
Politics › Re: INEC Server: The Easiest Way Atiku Can Make His Case by zibya: 11:32pm On Jun 14, 2019 |
Mynd44: The reason this won't work is that the court only work in accordance to the constitution.
The law that allows INEC to have a server was not signed hence even if they had the infrastructure, it cannot be used and cannot be presented in court as electronic collation is not recognised in the eyes of the law Well said. But If it turns out that INEC does indeed have a server and collated election results were transmitted from polling units to the server, then top INEC officials need to be prosecuted for infringing upon the electoral act. Either way no electronic results can be admissible at the tribunal |

The SW is the major beneficiary of the unbalanced distribution of the top six posts in the country. Out of the posts they got both the vice presidency and house speakership. No other region got more than one. The SE on the other hand got none. I suggest APC gives them either senate majority leader or majority leader in the house of reps |

raker300: A truce was called before the secession came to past.
Same thing with us here..
We’ve fought, it’s over.. a diplomatic secession is very feasible as both sides have seen what the other is capable of in a war.
No Nigerian president will be willing to go to war with the igbos again.. You are right in saying that we fought and the war is long over but you see in our own case, there was a victor: Nigeria while in the case of the Sudan civil war it ended in a stalemate. Sorry but your analogy can't be applied In this case |

oyatz: So what's the way out because I also want my town to be carved out of Nigeria and be a separate country. Tell all your village chief to assemble all the village elders and declare your town a sovereign, independent republic. But learn from the lessons of history and raise an an army powerful enough to defeat the Nigerian army on the battle field. Do this and you will have your country |
Politics › Re: Igbo Presidency Very Impossible- Okorocha by zibya: 5:13pm On Jun 13, 2019 |
raker300: a bloodless secession is possible. South Sudan did it.
Besides, no country would support the Nigerian state in this current political dispensation.
Migration of igbos back to the east is already ongoing wch is slow bt ongoing.
I like the current political atmosphere..it’s proving my point all along. South Sudan? My friend you obviously haven't read the history books. South Sudan rebel groups waged a bloody war on and off against the Arab dominated government in Khartoum for over 30 years. This war resulted in over 1 million dead and 3 million displaced. It was only when the combatants got tired of the fighting that they agreeed to make peace under the auspices of the UN. The referendum came after the bloody war |
Politics › Re: Igbo Presidency Very Impossible- Okorocha by zibya: 4:54pm On Jun 13, 2019 |
QuotaSystem: Common sense also dictates that the only other way to secede asides war, is to modify the constitution to allow a referendum for secession, which requires a majority vote in the APC dominated National Assembly.
Need I say more ? You and I know that introducing a clause in the constitution allowing for secession can only happen when the sun rises in the west and sets in the east |
