Is my take on Ikeme still dishonest, Mr "Criticize-Okoye-for-Looks-mainly"?

And oh, I found a better pic of Osaze. You think you are clever dropping faded images of Osaze or Abbey to make your childish point. Convince the thread Osaze was not a work of art yet every criticism he got bordered on football only and he hardly even got criticized because he delivered. He proved himself.
Mr honesty, this one don turn preeq measurement 😂. But the pic you posted still portray you as a dishonest person cos it give credit to my point. Okoye is more good looking.

TheSuperNerd:
You embolden my take on Carl Ikeme and went on to not drop a picture of Carl Ikeme. Your emotions made you forget? grin

And thank you for making my point on Osaze and Abbey. Good looking Light skinned Eagles.

And it is a trivia like a Q and A with only one correct answer and using a simple obvious scenario spelt out to establish truth. It is not my choice but the truth. Anyone picking Okoye in that trivia is not making a choice but just denying truth because there is no backing for that answer. Absolutely none. Okoye has never delivered for us yet in a high stakes game like Nwabali has.
Should I also call you a dishonest person and liar 😂 for saying Ikeme is more good looking and well built than Maduka. 😂

More lies. You literally said this naaaaaa... abi u dey suffer amnesia ni? grin

You said... and I quote...

"I feel the guy was just being criticised for nothing (his good look also playing a factor)."

For nothing you said. And you inserted his good looks in bracket. So Kog45 is not wrong to paraphrase. He understood your point just fine.
Mr honesty its simple English
I'll still say it, I felt he was being criticised for nothing because I feel the goal he conceded wasn't a blonder as many want us to believe.
And yes, at that Afcon his looks was of much talking point, even from other countries. So keep your emotions in check, nobody is fighting with you, it's just a simple discussion.

TheSuperNerd:
It is funny how I am the emotional one but it is you bringing in the childish emotional angle of insecurity among men based off "Good looks".
Carl Ikeme was very good looking and well built too, much more than Maduka. Osaze Odemwingie was damn good looking. Abbey George... did you actually see him? No one judged them off their looks but it comes to Maduka and it is only about looks?? This is a nonsensical angle.

And it was not a debate. It was a simple trivia that required an HONEST ANSWER. Anyone picking Okoye in that trivia is dishonest.
At first bold, i can also say your are being dishonest here with you take.
Either a trivia or whatever and you expect everyone to go with your choice? Anyone that have a different opinion is dishonest? All hail Mr honesty himself

Carl Ikeme the most handsome goalkeeper to ever kept for eagles, also Best Ogedengbe so funny someone telling us cuz of Maduka good look some criticizing him unjustly
Bro I never said he was criticised unjustly because of his look. What I'm saying is that many fans dwell more on his look than his performance on the pitch. You will hear talk like 'this fine boy go sabi keep ball so'

TheSuperNerd:
This is funny. Also very childish and a lame attempt to call everyone else st*pid. So the video posted of Maduka's blooper against Algeria's Team B after the one vs Tunisia at Afcon 2021 was nothing?? Was that not proof of Maduka's struggles in the role in the GWG? Maduka was rightly criticised as he hardly inspired confidence and composure in the role. It is well documented.

What good looks?? You are stressing it so much as if we have not had guys like Abbey George and Osaze Odemwingie in the Super Eagles. Maduka is not the first light-skinned with good looks to dorn the jersey.
Don't be to emotional about this, it's just a debate which you drop. You don't expect everyone to go for one person. ☺️
Let's be real, Maduka had a good look (not light skin), that drove so many female fans crazy. His look and physique was a talking point in that Afcon which none of Osaze (another sweet boy) or Abbey (nothing special 😂) had.
SportsRe: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2027, 2028 And 2030 World Cup by zicky(m): 3:07pm On Mar 14
TheSuperNerd:
Lies. Maduka was first choice during the 2022 WC Qualifiers. He was also first choice at Afcon 2021. He got his run and dropped the ball. Dont lie to twist historical facts.
Why should I lie because of a player which I'm not a fan of none but support because he's a Nigerian.
That being said, for me I still feel he was never really our 1st choice, He was considered to mount to goal for a short time, for me at that time the SE was still trying to get a 1st choice. Just like when Ejide was used at the 2026 Afcon over Eyeama. We all knew Eyeama was our no.1

Everyone wan crucify am, heck even here sef, Dem wan murder am,

Since then Okoye decided to race his club duties
Exactly, Nwabali has concede cheaper goal, recently against same Tunisia 🇹🇳. I feel the guy was just being criticised for nothing(his good look also playing a factor).

Stop catching cruise.

Nwabali vs Okoye is not up for debate.

It's only two people that can let Okoye man our post where Nwabali is fit if you allow them, only Kriskel and Charles.

The only problem Nwabali has is his childish antics
Nwabali is no much different from Ezenwa, they show confidence and artistry while on the pitch and that's what catch the attention of fans.
SportsRe: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2027, 2028 And 2030 World Cup by zicky(m): 11:06am On Mar 14
TheSuperNerd:
Oh no, not writing him off but just stating current and historical facts. The day Okoye Maduka give us really solid performances in goal and even shows up in a high stakes game, then yes, he will win all over easily.
Also, being in a top 5 league is not automatic ticket to the #1 position of the Super Eagles. Okoye was in the Team wayyy before Nwabali came in around 2024. Okoye kept goal for most of the 2022 WC Group stage qualifying games yet he could not even cement that shirt Post-Afcon 2021. Uzoho took it back for a brief period before providence made Jpes bring in Nwabali and the rest is history.
You know at no point was Maduka made the 1st choice. I think his good looks was a problem because most fans focus on his looks than his on field performance.
Performing in a top5 league should be a criteria except otherwise. Maduka has developed himself very well by we fans keep dwelling on the Tunisia match, mind you Iwobi was also a target in that same tournament.

TheSuperNerd:
Na lie ooo. You literally just contradicted yourself. Maduka Okoye has been trusted in a major tournamet. He was trusted at Afcon 2021 and we fell.

And omo ehn, E vex me as Akin go afcon no see 1 minute play. As a young player it slows momentum but it is hard getting back your place especially as a young loanee. Pisa coaches dey exact their revenge naa. Akin was a starter pre-afcon but now, post afcon, the coaches no gree am. Also, Gilardino, the man who was starting Akin and later began benching him post afcon was fired after the Inter thrashing and replaced. The current coach has played 5 games winning none and used Akin only once!

Akin had a fine first half of the season but this second half, his gametime is suffering. Uche same thing but thank God he will return to Getafe and dorn that #10 shirt and ball like we know hin to again. And na why I dey scream for Nnadi matter at Marseille. I need these lads playing. Chelle no try for Akin matter at all at Afcon.
i don't think that single tournament should make us write off Maduka. Maduka is a top goalkeeper and he has prove that in a top5 league against quality strikers. I do feel for the youngman, a victim of circumstance. I love you still believe he's a better goalkeeper to Nwabali. Though Nwabali has the confidence and support of Nigerians going for him now.

Lookman needs to step it up or he’ll lose his place in the team. I know he’s not playing in his preferred position but we need to see more hustle from him.
very apt, not someone jumping out to say he's becoming boring to watch. Lookman is never a winger but a SS, the coach had to accommodate him because he already had Greizman and Avarez as his top 2.

I remember saying this guy, rather than Adams should start alongside Osimhen at the AFCON. I was laughed to scorn. Now he is outscoring Osimhen in the same league with a weaker team.

They preferred to start an injured Osimhen against Morocco when he was on the bench, by the way.
Onuachu is more of a goal poacher but if you need a striker that make the team gel, then it's Osimhen. I think both can play together but Osimhen will have to play a more withdraw role, which I think he can.

you guys are being disingenuous lmao. Everyone elsewhere knows what that statement means except people here. Saying "no media hype and paid hype" is well understood everywhere except nairaland. It is a well known talking point on X that osimhen walks with the top guys on X like pooja and other guys with big folllowing. Infact that is one of the reason they banter him so much on that platform. "No paid hype" is a well known remark people use online when they want to praise a super eagles players apart from oshimehn. Nobody can gaslight me that this is the first time they have seen this phrase. We all know what we are doing

When I said fanboys, they definitely know themselves. And this set of people are the issue not Osimhen himself. Keep this guy away from this unnecessary agenda and drama. As I've said before, I don't think the young man want this frequent drama.

Baba i respect Osimhen’s view oo and i tagged him as a matured guy by not just coming to hype on Galatasarays qualification but also expressing his disatisfaction at how they almost bottled the win….But you know another set of die hard Gala fans in turkey will boast that they cruised passed Juve putting 7goals past them…To those ones lai lai they will tell you their loving Galatasaray team deserve to advance…7goals no b beans.
Osimhen is a matured diplomatic player that will wanna balance both sides with his views
i get your point, I already observe he has soft spot for juventus. Maybe because of the coach or maybe he still see them as his future employer.

How does this answer my question?
Speaking the fact about Galatasaray means mocking Osimhen to you?
Osimhen in his interview reiterate what we are saying,. He's disappointed with the team's performance and juventus deserve to win. Go accuse him of mocking himself and the team.

As it stands now, for Osimhen to score he needs to drop deep and elevate his midfield rather than sitting in between two centre backs and waiting for a pass that will never come...

A simple pass and this would've been a goal.. rather he went and passed to the corner flag.. grin
this was the height, this incident almost drove me crazy like what da f..k. And this same cow struggle the 2nd goal with Osimhen.

Thank God they manage to qualify... Make i go youtube go see his goal cuz i never see am....

Remove him, the team is wack and it's the fact. Go watch his interview after the match. He was very much disappointed in the team display and it reflected in his game, his energy dropped. Playing against 10men and it could have been 5nil at 90mins.
Simple pass that should be given to Osimhen to score, you see them trying to score themselves.
