Lol, I remember most people felt the same way when we sacked Rohr close to the last AFCON. Until Eguavoen shocked everybody 😊.

The truth is that AFCONs aren't predictable. You can have the best players and organization and fail woefully. And vice versa.

Let's keep an open mind and see how it goes.
AFCON is unpredictable, yes but I don't agree with the vice versa, you can't come with the worst players and organisation and win. Let's not encourage mediocrity. Happy new year

Some stats are widely available because they are public information and not hidden.

We say in Warri , "Na money kill beta Soup"

It's also said among the British, You get what you pay for.

Many again prefer the delusional fantasy over established facts truths and convention. The best players cost money 🤑 it's simple. Poor players cost less and the poorest get paid very poorly.

Below is the average weekly wage bill €3392 for Chavez FC , the highest paid player is Rúben Ribeiro (Attacking Midfield) at €11,154 per week. Just his salary impact on that average weekly salary significantly.

It means there are players on less than €1k a week in Chávez FC, in a Portuguese premier League team, that tells you something about Chavez as well as the league they play in.🤔

I have compared the average salary of Chavez with Bradford FC an English League two team. Not a team in league one or the Championship, but the lowly English League Two.

Using Bradford City FC as a comparison see below and the difference seems academic, not much difference. That tells you a lot about the quality of the lower percentile of the Portuguese Premier league.

These stats are indicative of the low quality players in the lower half of the Portuguese league. I think that's self evident without being contentious.

Now tell me that Nwakali is an exceptional player, unless you want to be delusional and fantasy led by favouritism.

My statement never imply if nwakali is exceptional or not. You made a false statement as regard his wage(being the least paid in his club) and that of the club. I think you should clarify the house where you got those FACTS

Small time now u go run bring out stats to justify why Nwakali is the second best midfielder in the world. The same stats that made folks like u believe that De Bruyne is better than Zizou 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
i believe you have seen the wage of Chaves team and nwakali precisely. We can conclude that what your elder brother is dropping here is far from fact. 😂

Serie a highest goal scorer.
Serie a player of the month January and March 2023
Serie a best striker.
Afcon qualifiers top scorer.
Italian footballers association (AIC) serie a footballer of the year.
Serie a team of the year
Serie a title winner.
Ballon d'or 8th place
Vs fifa world cup 4th place, Ligue 1 team of the year and Ligue 1 title winner. In a sane society the winner is clear but then Africa has its ways of surprising us so let's wait and see.
i don't think it's an African thing, even world best most of the winners are debatable.

Create which chance, as in he can lay pass to himself or can dribble the whole defense line except the keeper. Sadiq is a low budget Peter crouch.

Here we go!
Voting of Members of the Nomination Committee
Gentlemen and ladies of the thread, it is time for us to vote for those who will stand as representatives of this thread and partake in the selection of award categories and award nominees.
This year, the nomination committee will be made up of at least 7 members: myself, icon4s who pioneered the award will continue as an honorary member of the committee and at least 5 monikers from this thread.
Every member of this thread is eligible to vote and be voted for. But let's keep in mind that this isn't a popularity contest. Vote for those you believe have the knowledge and passion for Nigerian football.
Here's the rule for voting:
1) You're to vote for 5 monikers from this thread to join the committee;
2) Vote the monikers in order of preference, from top to bottom;
3) Points will be awarded to each moniker you vote for. Your first nominee gets 5 point, the second gets 4 points, the third gets 3 points, fourth gets 2 points and fifth gets 1 point.
4) At the end of the voting process, the five monikers with the most points will join the committee;
5) In the event that two or more monikers are tied on points, they will all be added to the committee, as the goal is to have as many monikers to contribute to the process.
6) You're allowed to nominate yourself 😉

Voting closes on Wednesday, November 8th 2023, 10pm Nigerian time.

Thank you.

Later the vendor started giving us for hire N10, we read and at the end of the day he come pick it up. I do read kickoff magazine and sportylife (this one to buy am dy expensive). I later register on kickoff site with my Nokia c10.

Enyeama played for Ibom Stars which was formerly known as Mobil Pegasus of Eket, but now Akwa United.

He moved to Enyimba from Ibom Star then a division two club in Nigeria league,in fact he met Dele Aiyenigba as first choice in Enyimba.

He did not played for Calabar Rover.

Enyeama eagles sojourned was a story of destiny child. He joined Enyimba 2001/2002 season after Enyimba friendly match with Inter Milan which Enyimba lost 7-0 with Aiyenigba Dele in goal.It was a match organized by Ronaldo to mark his return after long absence due to injury and money raised was donated to United Nations Relief Fund for Africa,Asia and South America less privileged.

Enyeama was discovered playing for Ibom star by eagles goalkeeper trainer Amusa Adisa but didn’t get invitation until the goalkeeping crew realized Ejide was not ready after Scotland friendly.Just two months in Enyimba he was invited and had a good game against Kenya in a friendly.

The big question,a keeper that kept in WC against England was a division two player a season ago in NPFL but just some months in NPFL division one,now the best Nigeria keeper in Nigeria football history.

Time to give Amas Obasogie of Bendel Insurance,Christian Nwoke of Sporting Lagos,Kayode Bankole of Remo Star and Stanley Nwabili of Chipa in South Africa league the chance to compete in eagles cuz we can be having bench warmers as Super eagles keeper.

I think the first post talked about Enyeama being called to the SE while at akwa united which is not true, we all know Enyeama moving to enyimba prompted his call to the eagles. Enyeama was a darling of the aba fans even after moving to rivals iwuanyanwu nationale. Our coaches should look inward to solve this goalkeeping issue.

From now till forever, Sadiq is not an option but they keep inviting him. He should be dropped. Even on this thread once he scores one or two goals for his club, some will start blowing his trumpet.
I've never been a fan of Sadiq, even at the Olympics games he played where so many were hyping him. He's not just my kind of striker, I'll rather pick onuachu to Sadiq if at all I want to go for a tall stricker without bearing.

Maduka Okoye came into eagles unmerited and used super eagles to rise, yes he was criticized by fans for poor performance against Tunisia which happens in football.

One thing he should know Nigeria will never beg him,so declined the invite is not the best way to express his grievances. He should come in and prove us wrong.

Dele Aiyenigba never got second chance after Guinea match.Daniel Akpeyi was heavily criticized and sometimes criticized unjustifiably e.g Mahrez free kick that can beat any keeper.Even Francis Uzoho is still under attacks from fans for poor performance against Ghana.

A lesson here,Nigeria should look in ward and give us a keeper like Enyeama cuz when Enyeama was discovered he was not among the sensational keepers in the league, the tops ones are Uche Akubieke,Austin Ejide,Chijioke the Arugo Monkey.but he came in and proved himself.
Chijioke aka arugo monkey was one keeper I love watching, wonder why he was never called up to the SE. Another was Sunday Rotimi.

I don't use derogatory language, l would say not very good, not **** ☹️.

The discussion emanated from the delusional agenda that surrounds Nwakali. That he is somehow the best midfielder or one of the best in the Portuguese league. And certainly according to his badly tuned praise singers, the best in Chavez FC.

That delusional discourse made someone to compare Luton Town to Chávez with the suggestion that Chavez is better.

With regards to Nice beating Arsenal ( it happens) not too long ago Nottingham Forest in the Championship beat Arsenal. A few days ago Newcastle United beat PSG ,the same Newcastle was beaten by league one Sheffield Wednesday in the FA cup some months ago.

Would you say PSG and Arsenal And Newcastle are now poor quality 🤔❓❓❓
So you agree Chaves can beat luton. BTW luton ia a very poor team and will lose to many championship teams
